Analyn POV
My entire life is a lie.
And it only took a few minutes for me to know that.
My father. My sweet, kind, generous father, who also happened to be a great leader, turned out to be someone who was after my family and me.
He stood up to move toward me but stopped.
"I can't move! What did you do to me?" he asked as he froze in place.
"Keeping you glued to the ground until we are done talking. You've got a lot more explaining to do, old man," Ambrose said nonchalantly. Ambrose must be controlling dad with his mind, so he couldn't move now that he was defenseless.
"Dad. I am not a human either. Does that mean you were going to kill me eventually?" I asked. I couldn't stop my voice from trembling.
"I didn't want to. So I convinced the others to spare your life so my wife and I could adopt you. We took you to that witch, so your magic powers will be blocked," dad said.
