I could finally breathe. The evil inside Ambrose was finally gone, and he was back to being my grumpy but occasionally sweet husband.

"Do you feel any different?" I asked him. After we got back, I took the mouse to an underground bunker and sealed its door with magic, just like how I did it with his mother in the well.
