Chapter 3

What were you sent to do in my pack?”

I can’t let him see through me. This could end me, but I really don’t care. She told herself, trying hard as she could to steady her numb fingers.

She was nervous, but she couldn’t show him. She couldn’t show him that she was terrified of his authoritative presence.

She raised her chin and stared at him defiantly. “I know nothing of what you speak, Alpha. I was sent on a secret mission and your guards captured me. I might be a captive under you. It doesn’t mean I must reveal my mission.” She said and he glared at her.

His cold glare sent shivers down her body. It was exciting, yet terrifying.

How can one man evoke so powerful emotions? Drea stared at him, willing her heart to be steady.

“I see you are still trying to play smart with me, Little one. Have you heard of my reputation.”He asked and Drea gulped. Ramirez stared at her with a raised eyebrow and stood up. He walked towards his locker and brought out a small dagger.

Alpha Ramirez was not a man to be toyed with, he was extremely rutless.

And Drea knew she could lose her life in a matter of split seconds,if she continued playing this dangerous game.

“I don’t spare people who lie to me, Drea. I could take your life right here, right now.” He said, tracing the blade down her neck, she could feel blood trickle down her neck.

Drea sucked in her breath.

“But I won’t take it. You are one interesting specimen. I’d like to see how much you can take through pain. Torture. You weren’t told? Being a secret agent comes with a lot of torture. Possibly Death.” He said and dropped the knife and Drea released my breath.

She wasn’t gonna die, not today.

“Prepare yourself. Because the next time I see you, you would have to tell me what it is I want to know. Else you will understand the reason why I am known as the most ruthless Alpha that has ever existed. And I’m not joking around,Little one. Prepare an answer, or you’ll give one to the devil in hell.” He said and then paused. “Oh I forgot. I’m the devil.” He said with a slight chuckle and walked out.

Fuck, that was some encounter. From the kiss to the threat, to slicing the tip of his blade down her neck, Drea knew very well if that she does not provide the Alpha with an answer, she could lose her life.

Drea collapsed on the floor as she stared at her chained hands. She knew of the things that she had heard of Alpha Ramirez.

Once, she had heard how he cut off the fingers of a traitor once. Not only did he cut his fingers off, Ramirez had his two ears cut off, and made sure the traistor fed on it.

That was not the only thing that Ramirez had one.

He had plucked out the eyeballs of rogue wolves that raped and murdered a female wolf, he boiled it and made them eat it. And then he had them torn apart by bulls.

That was not the only one.

This was something that she had witnessed. She had witness him bring forth a serial murdering wolf and brought him before the pack members. She had been wandering about the area and witnessed the show of it.

Ramirez brought out a knife, and sliced the fingers off the killer. Not only did he slice the fingers off, he had the killers eyes dug out, and he made the killer fry his eyes and cut fingers, with his bare, sore hands. After that, Ramirez had him thrown into a pot of boiling oil, and had his burnt body be trampled on by bulls.

Drea shuddered at the thought of what she had heard he did to spies. He would bring them and question them. If they don’t give him the answers he wanted, he would peel them flesh for flesh, until their skin was exposed to air and rotten. Then he would abandon them lie where hawks and vultures would feat on them.

Drea started to cry. Tears flowed down her face. She had done this only because she wanted her father to get well. She needed the moon beam of this pack, else she wouldn’t get the medicine for her papa. And her papa would never set eyes on her again.

The thought of it, made her weep in pain. This was not what she had expected. Not what she had been told. She had done so much just to survive the wicked people in her pack, and see where it led her to.

Ramirez walked down the flowery path, the thought of the strange young woman chained in the prison filling his head.

Drea. That was her name. She looked…. Beautiful. So beautiful, at the same time, so freaking uncultured.

Gosh,if there was anything he hated it was an uncultured, stubborn, stupidly bold, young woman. He hadtamed a lot of them, but it didn’t occur to him to try and tame this one.

The Young woman named Drea had him hooked on what she could probably be. She acted like she had no fear, and that amused him.

Whenever a woman met Ramirez, they shuddered in fear.Nomatter what or who they were. It was a surprise to see the young lad was fearless and daring.

And he liked that in a woman.

Not only was she beautiful, but she appealed to him in a way tht he had not felt in a long time.

Not since she died.

Ramirez sighed and made his way back to the palace. His mind wondered what he could do to bend the will of the young woman.

Ramirez walked down the dimly lit hallway of his territory, his steps echoing against the stone flooring. His mind was preoccupied with thoughts of how to extract information from the troublesome female that had been brought to him.

I am one of the most ruthless leaders ever existed, feared by many and respected by all. I have never had any trouble breaking loud-mouthed females like her, yet for some reason, I am reluctant to break her. What is so special about her? Why does she appeal to me in a way that I don’t understand?

As he walked, he couldn't help but think about how she had boldly stood up to him when he had confronted her about her alliances. Her defiance had intrigued him, and he found himself drawn to her. He knew that he should have broken her by now, but he found himself hesitating.

"Alpha, you seem deep in thought," a voice interrupted Ramirez's reverie, and he turned to see his trusted beta Alfred approaching him. "Is everything alright?"

"Everything is fine, Alfred," Ramirez replied with a dismissive wave of his hand. "I was just thinking about the female that was brought to me."

"The one that won't speak?" Alfred asked, his eyebrows furrowing in confusion. "You're having trouble breaking her?"

Ramirez nodded, his expression grim. "It's unusual," he admitted. "I should have broken her by now, but for some reason, I haven't."

Alfred's eyes widened in surprise. "You? Having trouble breaking someone? That's unheard of."

Ramirez scowled, not liking the implication that he was weak. "I could break her if I wanted to," he snarled. "But I've decided to take a different approach."

Alfred's confusion deepened. "What approach?"

"I'm going to persuade her," Ramirez said, his voice low and dangerous. "I have a feeling that there's more to her than meets the eye, and I want to know what it is."

Alfred nodded, sensing that there was more to Ramirez's decision than just wanting to get information from the female. "I understand," he said simply. "What do you need from me?"

"I need you to keep an eye on the situation," Ramirez said, his gaze flickering towards Alfred. "I want you to make sure that she's not mistreated in any way."

Alfred's eyes widened at the unexpected request. "You want me to protect her?"

"I want you to ensure her safety," Ramirez corrected. "I don't want any harm coming to her while she's under my care."

Alfred nodded, understanding the underlying message in Ramirez's words. "I'll keep an eye on things," he promised. "You can trust me."

Ramirez nodded, satisfied, before turning and continuing down the hallway. He could feel Alfred's eyes on him as he walked, but he didn't turn back. He had a female to persuade, and he wasn't going to let anything or anyone stand in his way.

As he approached the room where the female was being held, Ramirez could hear her muffled cries of fear and frustration. He steeled himself, ready to face her once more. He pushed open the heavy wooden door and strode into the room, his presence commanding.

Drea was huddled in a corner, her eyes defiant, but he could see spots of fear. She was small and fragile-looking, but Ramirez knew that looks could be deceiving. He approached her slowly, his movements calculated.

"Have you decided on what you would do? Would you tell me what I want to know?" he asked, his voice low and dangerous.

Drea didn't respond, her eyes darting around the room as if looking for a way out. Ramirez sighed inwardly, knowing that this was going to take longer than he had anticipated.

"Look," he said, his tone softening slightly. "I don't want to hurt you. But I need to know who you're working with. It's for the safety of my pack."

Drea remained silent, and Ramirez could feel his patience wearing thin. He took a step closer, his eyes narrowing.

"Tell me what I want to know," he growled. "Or I'll be forced to use other methods."

Drea's eyes widened in fear, and Ramirez could feel a twinge of guilt at the threat of violence. He shook it off, reminding himself that he needed to do what was best for his pack.

"Fine," he said, his voice cold and distant. "Have it your way. I tried to be nice."

He turned and strode out of the room, his mind already planning his next move. This was going to be more difficult than he had thought, but he was determined to get the information he needed. No matter the cost.

Drea finally stopped weeping and got up from the ground. She searched the room and found a weapon, a sharp blade, and some poison. She quickly dipped the blade into the poison, hoping she wouldn't have to use it. She knew that the Alpha would be coming to interrogate her at any moment.

Just then, the door opened and in strode the Alpha himself, flanked by the Beta Alfred. Drea stood up and brandished the blade, her eyes locking on the Alpha as he approached.

"What do you want from me?" she hissed, the blade of the weapon glinting in the dim light. "I won't tell you anything."

The Alpha seemed uncommonly friendly, almost as if he was afraid of her weapon. It seemed like a ploy to Drea, and she tightened her grip on the blade.

"You can put that down," the Alpha said, his voice calm and collected. "You're not going to hurt me."

Drea snorted in disbelief. "And why should I believe you?" she asked, her eyes narrowing as she edged closer to him.

"Because you would only hurt yourself," the Alpha replied, holding his hands up in a gesture of peace. "Put the weapon down and let's talk."

Drea hesitated for a moment, then slowly lowered the weapon. She didn't trust him, but perhaps talking was the better option.

"Start talking," she said, crossing her arms over her chest as she glared at the Alpha.

“I should be the one telling you to speak, Drea. In this place, I do the commanding.” Ramirez said with a low growl and Drea’s back crawled. “Now speak.” He finished.

Drea shook her head, her features hardening. "I'm not going to tell you anything," she spat. "You can torture me if you want, but I won't tell you what it is I am doing here. If I do,that would mean betrayal on my part."

“I see. So you will be loyal to the person who sent you at the expense of your life?” Ramirez said and Drea spat at him.

“I have nothing to say to you anymore, Alpha Ramirez.” Drea said stubbornly and threw her face aside.

The Alpha's eyes darkened, and he took a step closer to her. "You don't seem to understand," he growled. "We will find out what we need to know, one way or another."

Drea raised the blade again, her eyes sparking with defiance. "Then do your worst," she said, her voice low.

The two of them stared each other down, tension crackling in the air between them. Drea could see the Alpha's muscles tensing, ready to strike, and she knew that she needed to be quick.

With lightning speed, she lunged at him, the blade glimmering in the low light. The Alpha was faster, however, and he dodged out of the way, grabbing her wrist and twisting it. The blade clattered to the ground as Drea cried out in pain.

The Alpha quickly made her sit, and he cleaned the wound while interrogating her. "Now, tell me," he said, his voice low and dangerous. "Who are you working with?"

Drea gritted her teeth, refusing to answer even as the Alpha pressed on with his questioning. She could feel the poison from the blade working its way into her system, and she knew that she was in trouble.

Suddenly, there was a sharp pain in her arm, and Drea cried out. The Alpha quickly examined the wound and found that it had reopened, and he knew that he needed to clean it again.

"Stay still," he ordered, moving to her side and peering closely at the wound.

Drea glared at him, her eyes full of distrust. "What are you going to do?" she asked, her voice strained.

"I'm going to clean the wound," the Alpha said, his voice softening slightly. Despite his threats and harshness, he couldn't help feeling a twinge of sympathy for the wounded female in front of him.

Drea flinched as he touched the wound, her muscles tensing. The Alpha moved quickly, his hands deft as he cleaned and bandaged the wound as best he could.

"Why are you doing this?" Drea asked, her voice barely above a whisper.

The Alpha hesitated for a moment before replying. "I'm a leader," he said simply. "It's my responsibility to make sure that members of my pack are taken care of, even those who are our enemies."

Drea stared at him, unsure of what to say. She had always seen the Alphas as cruel and ruthless, but this one was different. She couldn't understand why he was being so kind to her.

"I still won't tell you anything," she said, her voice firm.

The Alpha nodded, his expression hardening once more. "Then I'll have to resort to other methods," he said, rising to his feet. "But don't worry, I'll make sure that your wound is taken care of."

Drea stared at his face in shock.

Alpha Ramirez, whom she had just tried to kill was taking care of her injury?

Ramirez stared at the now injured woman sitting in front of him. She was in no means fragile.

And at the same time, she was not weak.

He would kee her close to him, until he figures out what he needs to do with her.

What this stupid emotions are.

As the days passed ,a group of rogue werewolves had been spotted on the outskirts of the Agamemnon pack's territory. They were known for their brutality and willingness to kill anyone who got in their way. Alpha Ramirez knew he had to act quickly to protect his pack, and he enlisted Drea's help.

They set out on horseback, riding through the dense forest in search of the rogue werewolves. As they rode, Drea couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement mixed with fear. She had never been in a real fight before, but she was determined to do whatever it took to protect her new pack.

They finally spotted the rogues in a clearing up ahead. There were seven of them, all heavily armed and ready for a fight. Drea could feel her heart racing as she unsheathed her sword, ready to charge into battle.

The fighting was intense. Drea's heart pounded in her chest as she dodged blows and struck back with her sword. But just as they were starting to gain the upper hand, a new figure emerged from the shadows.

It was a man , tall and lean with long, silver hair. He wore a black dress and carried a staff that glowed with a strange energy. Drea had never seen anything like it before.

The man spoke in a deep, gravelly voice. "I am Alpha Ramirez and I have come to claim what is rightfully mine."

Alpha Ramirez stepped forward, his eyes blazing with fury. "You will never take what belongs to us."

The two clashed, their powers colliding in a dazzling display of light and sound. Drea watched in amazement as the two battled it out, neither giving an inch.

But just as it seemed like Alpha Ramirez had the upper hand, Alpha Ramirez unleashed a powerful blast of energy, knocking him to the ground. Drea rushed forward to help, but the witch turned on her, sending a wave of energy that knocked her back.

Drea landed hard on the ground, her vision blurry. She could hear the sounds of battle raging around her, but she couldn't move. It was as if her body had turned to stone.

And then, just as suddenly as it had started, the fighting stopped. Drea looked up to see Alexander standing over her,his staff glowing with a strange energy.

"You are a fascinating creature," the Alpha said. "I could use someone like you in my army. Come with me, and I promise to spare your life."

Drea struggled to her feet, his sword still in hand. "I will never join you," she said, her voice strong despite her fear.

Alpha Alexander shrugged. "Suit yourself. But know this: you and your pack will fall. It is only a matter of time."
