Walking down into the bedroom with Ramona secured in his arms, he closed the door with the back of his feet and placed her gently on the bed.

She grabbed his shirt, smiling at him with her flushed face as she struggled to keep her eyes open. "Why... Why did you take me away from my fun?"

Caspian chuckled. All the Lunas were drunk which meant that in other words, they would have died tonight if one of them proceeded to drive that car.

"You drank a lot." Caspian whispered, curling his finger beneath his cheek. "Is this about the wedding?"

"No," Ramona replied, pouting her lips then slowly let go of his shirt and pointed the gun at his forehead, titling his head. "You are in danger and I do not like it."

Caspian raised his brows. "Danger?"

"Hmm." Ramona nodded, pulling the trigger continuously. "But... I.. I want to protect you."
