Chapter:08: Conceived:

Time flew past as Nora was locked up under house arrest like a common criminal in the Willard house  for two whole months, with her presence, ignored like evil in the air and her family throwing her under the bus like she didn't matter.

With the two months, Nora's physique and her face became noticeably and increasingly rounded.

Seeing Nora's condition, Nancy was the

the only person in floating air.

Nancy  looked at Nora who only had plain

vegetables and some clear broth in front of her, and placed a piece of pork ribs onto her plate.

“Nora, you look like you've been having quite an appetite. Here, have some of this”

Nora simply glanced at the piece of pork ribs on her plate and immediately picked it out with her fork and dropped it away in another place.

Nancy then acted as if she was hurt and laid her fork on the table "Nora, why did you throw out the piece of pork rib that I gave you? If I had  offended you in any way, tell me, and I'll change. I won't repeat my mistakes ever again in the future "

Seeing as Nancy was on the verge of crying, Mr. Gilbert Willard immediately frowned. It could be seen that a storm was brewing on his face.

Slowly, he set down his knife before he

slammed the dining table loudly. His cold

gaze stared down at Nora.

"Nora, you're crossing the line! Your sister gave you her piece of rib. If you don't want it, fine, but what are you thinking tossing it out like that?

Tessa Warner  did not defend Nora but instead chose to comfort Nancy who seemed to be sniffling.

 Nora looked at Nancy and finally pushed a sentence out of her thin, pale lips.

"I have no appetite."

Nora's indifferent attitude just ignited the fire in Mr. Willard's heart.

He pounded the table again and pointed at the pork ribs that she tossed out. "Pick it up! Eat it!"

After hearing what her father had to say,

Nora lifted her head slowly to reveal the

a glint of coldness that shone in her eyes.

Her father wanted her to pick up the food she had discarded?

"Father, how would people think about the Willard family if they hear of this?”

She replied with an intention that suggested she had chosen not to pick up the food.

With that, Gilbert Willard shot up from his seat in an attempt to grab Nora by the hair.

Suddenly, Nora's eyes widened before she ran to the rubbish bin while covering her mouth.

She then bent over and began to throw up  into the bin, even her sweat, and tears were included.

Everyone in the hall was speechless as they watched Nora's outburst.

Among all of them, the most surprised person was Nancy.

At that moment, an unfortunate thought glimmer through her mind.

Could it be? Nora is pregnant with Jace Haddock's child?

Her palms tightened into a fist. How can that be true? Not only did she send Nora to her dream man's bed, but she had also conceived ed in just one night after sleeping with Jace Haddock?

Women are valued for their ability to produce sons. If Nora looked for Jace Haddocl with her child, wouldn't she have a high chance of becoming Mrs. Haddock?

Nancy's tensed fist got even tighter. No! She would not allow this to happen!

Before she could respond, Tessa Warner had already approached Nora.

She patted Nora's back while she held a the strict expression "Nora, tell me frankly, are you having it?"

Nora looked bewildered. "Having what?”

Without saying another word, Tessa Warner brought Nora straight to ther hospital without a second thought.

Within the next half an hour, Tessa Warner had almost fainted when she came out with the test results.

However, the doctor smiled at Nora warmly and said, "Congratulations, you're going to be a mother soon”

Nora paused for a bit before her hands instinctively covered the tiny bump on her belly as she spaced out.

"I, I'm gonna be a mother soon?

The doctor nodded. "That's right. You are two months pregnant.”

Hearing the doctor's words, Gilbert Willard and Tessa Warner, as well as Nancy all recalled the night when Nora did not come home.

Gilbert Willard quickly grabbed Nora's wrist. The strength he used was so great, that that it bruised Nora's wrist.

He dragged ber over to the doctor with a face full of fury. "Doctor, get her an abortion We don't want that baby!”

Nora's eyes bulged upon hearing Gilber Willard's words..

She withdrew her hand from Mr.Willard's and held her bump tightly.

"No! This is an innocent life, I can't let you take away his hope to be born into this world just after I've given this to him!”

 Smack!

 Gilbert Willard's palm landed hard on Nora's face was without any hint of mercy.

"You whore! Do you mean to ruin the cooperation and relationship between the Willard and the Quades family?! You're supposed to be married to Julius!"

Nancy stood aside, watching the scene unfold as her eyes narrowed gradually.

Nora's unborn child is the child of Jace Haddock, the man who could decide the fate of the entire world! of

course, she would not expose this little

secret.

She knew that as soon as the truth was exposed, Nora would replace her as the favored child of the Willard. If that was the case, their status in the family would switch!

Moreover, if the truth came out, she might even become Mrs. Haddock That was why this truth had to be brought to her grave.

Forcing Nora to get an abortion now might be a good idea, At least then, there would be a much smaller chance that Nora will marry Jace in the future!

After having thought that, Nancy approached Nota and lightly grabbed Nora's forearm.

"Nora, I think you should get the abortion. We're only doing this for your own good. We're your family, we wouldn't do anything to hurt you, right?”

Clasped between Gilbert Willard and Nancy, Nora could not do anything but press her hands hard against her abdomen. She could not get away from both of them so easily no matter how hard she struggled.

Although they were her father, her mother, and her sister, she felt like she was alone all those years living as a Willard, in the Willard family.

Even if the arrival of this child meant that she would lose her purity and reputation, at least, she would no longer be alone from that day onward.

Therefore she must ensure the safety of this child!

Tessa Warner quickly pulled the doctor aside and gave him a card. "Doctor, we do not know the father of the child, so the Willard family cannot have the child. Please abort it right now”

The doctor did not receive the card that Tessa Warner tried so desperately to shove in his hand, but he set his eyes on Nora, who continued to resist even though she was sweating heavens.

As she endeavored, Nora continuously used her hand to protect her abdomen delicately..

After observing her for a long while, he made his decision. He was not sure if it was Nora's determination to keep the child or her motherly aura.

He pushed Tessa Warner's card aside before he took a huge stride forward to push Mr. Willard  aside and pulled Nora into his arms,

"I'm sorry, as long as the pregnant mother is unwilling, no one can make the decision for her!. It's her right to choose the fate of her child”

Nora lifted her head to look at the doctor. For the first time in her life, she was glad to have a doctor.

Hearing the doctor's words, Mr. Willard

was angered."We can't?! But we are her family, her

parents, why can't we make the decision for her?"

Tessa Warner nodded in support of Mr Gilbert. "That's right, we're doing this for her own good! This pregnancy must be aborted!"

Nancy then tried to persuade the doctor in another way. "Doctor, please consider this. If your fiancée was going to wed you in a week, but she's having someone else's child, what would you think?"

The doctor took a glance at Nora and said resolutely, "If I love her Then I will accept everything about her, including the child that is not mine Do you understand?”

Upon hearing the doctor's answer, the three other members of the Willard family Were astonished.

However, Nora was truly moved. At that moment, she even felt tears welling up inside of her.

Her own family had compelled her into a corner, but a stranger could make her feel warm with just a sentence.

"Alight, then, since she doesn't want the abortion, we'll take her back home"

Tessa Warner tugged on Gilbert Willard's hand as  she was hinting at something

Nancy had noticed the same thing Tessa Warner did. there were plenty of paparazzi and reporters around them If this went on the news, the Willard family Group and their reputation would suffered a hug blow.

So, Nancy nodded at her mother and said, “Thats right, dad, let's talk atter we got home”

Gilbert Willard gulped the fury in his heart and glared at Nora "You can keep the chick, now come home with us”

Nora pursed her lips but eventallyd followed behind the rest of the Willard.

A gentle hand grabbed Nora's wristy slowly stoppng her in ber tracks.

"Remember, if you want to protect  your child, you have to try your best Then, you

will be a goot mother”

With a warm smile hanging on the

doctor's face, he then let go of Nora's

wrist slowly.

Nora's hand on her belly slowly tensed as if she was now filled with

determination.
