The days passed by, and finally, the day for the Baron's party arrived. Gwendolyn had been going to the office early and working harder than usual, trying her best to forget about Charles. Since her last meeting with him, he hadn't sent a letter to her or anything. He was serious when he said he really didn't feel anything for her anymore.

She had the day off– thanks to her boss– to prepare for the party. The whole day was spent trying to select a gown to wear. Her mother would have helped her, but she had to go to work.

After several tries, she finally selected a white long gown that clinched the upper part of her body, enhancing her bosom. She wore a corset to enhance it, and it made her chest seem fuller.

The gown flayed down to her ankles, gently showing off her rounded hips. She wore cream sandals and let her black hair down. It was short, reaching just her shoulder. Dragging her hands down her form, she smiled satisfactorily. Then she picked up her bag, looked at herself one fi

The lady looked at him strangely, probably wondering what he was doing there. “Uh, hi. How may I help you?” “I would love to know your name.” Tyron urged. “I am Gwendolyn.” He grinned. “Nice to meet you, Gwendolyn.” He looked around the hall. “I noticed that you were the only one seated here, and so I opted to join you.” “Oh, I am not the only one here,” Gwendolyn said, waving her hands. “My boss went to make some inquiries. He would be back soon.” Tyron stared at the lady in front of him, a grin still etched widely on his face. He didn’t know why he was suddenly drawn to her. He studied her closely, trying to find if anything would make her far different than the rest. Apart from her beauty, she was just like any normal person. “Oh, okay then. Would you like me to leave?” Gwendolyn shrugged. “I do not mind. Once my boss starts to perform I wouldn’t be here anyway.” “May I ask who your boss is?” “Raul.” “The love singer?” She smirked. “Yes.” “Wow.” He exclaimed, intrigued.

Tyron made his way towards the fancy office studio. The entrance was beautifully decorated with different common plants which helped to liven up the place. He and Elijah walked towards it, studying the clean environment. “Are you sure about this?” Elijah asked. “Yes.” Tyron replied, nodding his head. “You still haven’t told me how Raul is connected to your search.” “It’s a gut feeling. That’s all.” Elijah sighed. “Sometimes, you really can be annoying. Just tell me your mission already. I’m dying of curiosity.” Tyron paused, then turned to look at Elijah. He folded his hands behind him, gently kicking at the ground. “My father sent me to look for someone. Until I find the said person, I cannot return home.” “Oh. Wow. I didn’t know it was this serious.” “Sadly, it is. That’s why I hardly talk about it.” He released a long breath, then turned back towards the entrance. “Now that you understand why I want to do this, can we go ahead with it already?” They both continued their w

In the Enu realm, seated languidly atop the throne was the supreme lord, looking at his kneeling subjects drily. He was beautiful; his white hair splayed over his throne, reaching the floor. His eyes were dark onyx, beautiful and dangerous. His face was perfectly sculpted, and it was no surprise as he had reached the level of a god. His power enveloped the whole room, making the kneeling subjects quiver in fear where they were. “Report.” He commanded, his voice coming out cool. “My lord,” the leader said, coming forward. He was the general of the special team created to find the abomination. He bowed fully, his head touching the ground. “We haven’t found any trace of the abomination.” The supreme lord leaned on his hand, looking at the general blandly. “Why am I not surprised.” He said, his voice coming out monotonously. “How long have you been put in charge of this search?” “Over two decades, my lord.” The general answered shakily. “Hmm. You have been there for a long time. Don’

  • The Abomination   Chapter Thirty Three: Conflicting feelings...

Several weeks passed since Tyron visited Gwen in her place of work. Ever since then, he had always been visiting her and getting closer to her. At some point, Raul stopped him from coming to his studio because he was getting irritated with always seeing Tyron’s face. Gwen and Tyron exchanged house addresses, and so they always mailed each other the contents of their day. Tyron felt guilty about his interaction with Gwen since he was only using her to find the abomination. He couldn’t deny the fact though, that despite that reason, he always looked forward to Gwen’s letter. Surprisingly, she had taken a special spot in his heart, which was something he never expected would happen. One sad thing that he understood perfectly, was that he could never be in a relationship with her, not with his father always hovering over his neck. Even if he didn’t, Tyron still couldn’t imagine having a relationship with Gwendolyn, just for the sad fact that he was a prince. Could he give up his positio

Tyron quickly stood up from his seat, a forced smile etched on his face as he watched Sandra make her way to him. What was she dong there? He wondered. Sandra’s appearance could only mean one thing no matter how hard he thought; his father wanted to pass a message that he was watching him. “Why did you come here?” he asked once she finally stopped at his front. Sandra grinned, her eyes alight with joy. “I wanted to assist you, so I asked your father to send me down here. I left just yesterday.” Tyron frowned. If she left just yesterday, that means his father had been monitoring his movements all along. He knew where Tyron was and made sure that he knew, lest he developed any unwarranted ideas. Slowly, Tyron grinned. The supreme lord was really a smart person, to suspect even his own son. “That’s very nice Sandra, but I have got everything covered. You do not need to worry about me.” “But I am here now,” she pushed, holding on to his arms and pouting. “You wouldn’t make me fly al

Sandra made her way into a small building that had the sign 'inn' hung atop it. She was lucky to have found one so quickly, as she had been wandering around the town aimlessly. Tyron was very rude to her. She was doing all she could to reign in her anger, because should she explode, there would be a huge destruction and that would cause a lot of attention to herself. That would halt their search. She walked inside the inn and looked around. It was very simple looking. A wooden desk was at one side of the room, and behind it were several small paintings hung on it. The other side of the wall had flowers on every side, both the painted kind and the real ones. By the far end of the room was a hallway, one she was sure led to the rooms. She frowned, seeing as the room was empty, and walked towards the desk. Atop the desk was a bell and some documents, and she rang the bell impatiently.Running sounds could be heard coming from the hallway, and Sandra frowned as she looked at who made h

Tyron went back to the park and found the trail of magic Sandra had left. He followed the trail for a while and finally found himself in front of an inn. Entering it, he was greeted by the sight of a woman admiring gold coins splattered on her desk."Good day miss," he greeted, causing the woman to immediately gather all her coins to hide them. She looked up at him and he gave her his most charming smile."O-Oh good day." She stuttered, placing the coins slowly in a pouch. Seeing that, Tyron raised his eyebrows, surprise etched on his features. Apparently, Sandra had been generous."May I help you?" She said, getting to her feet."Yes. I am looking for a woman. She lodged in here a few hours ago."The woman looked at him, confused."You know, tall, brooding.""Oh!" The woman answered, smiling brightly. "Are you related to her?"Tyron nodded his head. The piercing scream of Luther's wife filled the air, but no one paid any attention to her. All their attention laid on Gwen, the woman who had just rescued them from the millennial reign of a mad man."What are you doing?" Tyron boomed out of nowhere. "Bow to your new leader!"Gwen turned to look at him, frowning. "What are you doing?" She whispered. "You killed the Supreme Lord of the Enu realm. You are now the new supreme lord." He said simply, shrugging. She frowned, and just as she was about to say something, Luther's wife boomed."You can't be the new leader. Not when my sons are still alive.""Your sons are barely alive," Tyron said, snickering. "Weren't you listening while I was talking? He—" he said, pointing to Luther's corpse. "Used their blood to improve his youth. Whatever he did wasn't working for him anymore, and so he turned to his own blood. Haven't you noticed something wrong with your children? Yourself even?""No!" And because if this foolish mistake of yours, your friends will suffer immensely."Immediately, Gwen summoned dark flames, her stance in attack mode. " I will fight you with everything I have."Luther sighed, then raised his fingers towards her. But nothing happened. Frowning, luther stared at his hands, abs Gwen stared st him, wondering what was happening. Immediately he swivels around, trying to hide himself from her, but it was too late. Gwen and Luther finally reached the throne. Though the woman didn’t say anything, Gwen could still much feel the scorching stare of Luther’s wife on her back. She gulped, trying to calm her nerves down. By the time she was done with her plan, anger might be the last thing the woman would feel. “I hold the supreme power in this land.” Luther began. “Therefore, it is only right that i officiate a powerful wedding such as this. You are lucky,” he said, this time whispering to her. “I never did this for my first wedding.” She gritted her teeth, imagining ways by which she could kill him. She didn’t want to marry him. It was the last thing on her mind. The plan she had imagined only required them to go so far, but she never knew that they would wed in front of everyone. If she wanted to defeat this man, she had to do so immediately, and fast. Luther turned around, urging Gwen to do the same. He ran his hand gently across her back, causing cold shivers to crawl up her skin. “People of th

It was the dim light that shone from her eyes. She knew the action she was about to take. Should she fail, that would spell a fate worse than death for her. "Gwen," Sheryl said, coming up from behind her.""I am fine." Gwen answered, sighing. She looked at Tyron through the mirror. He stood at the far corner of the room, his face etched deeply in a frown, with a thick air of misery surrounding him."This is what I have to do. The fate of the realms depends on it," she said.Tyron sighed, then furiously dragged his hands through his hair."I understand, of course I understand. But why does it have to be you?"Gwen frowned slightly, cocking her head. "What do you mean?""I do not want you anywhere near that

"I will let you all leave quietly, but that shouldn't mean you should take any drastic action.""Hey, Prince Luther, I have another request-""Do not push your luck." He boomed, staring coldly at Gwen. He then released a slow sigh. "Do not push your luck. I don't want to have to repeat my past mistakes. Understand?" He said with a forced grin.Gwen gulped, then glanced back at her friends and slowly let the shield down. She stayed in place, not moving an inch until Luther's guards parted for her. "What do you think you're doing?""I wouldn't let you harm my friends." Gwen said defensively. Luther sighed, shaking his head. "You should have thought of that before you escaped.""Why are you acting like you didn't know when I left that room. You planned all this, just to follow me.""You are smart. I have never doubted that." He said, and Gwen grimaced."Fine then." He clapped his hands. "There is only one thing to do if you want your friends to be safe."Gwen's frown deepened. "Something's very wrong." He pointed out. "Quick, cast a protection spell over us."Gwen frowned. "How do I do that?" "I don't know. Hester and Marc had once mentioned that it's Impossible for people to be tracked once they were in the realm. Gwen stared at him in shock. “You are lying.” “I might be many things, my dear, but I will never lie to you.” he sat by the edge of her bed. “I sent him on a mission to bring the Abomination to me. That was what he was doing at first, but his plans changed when he realized you were the Abomination. I don’t blame him though. I would have done the same myself.” Gwen touched a hand to her chest, hyperventilating. He was lying. He had to be. Tyron wasn’t the type who would play her like that. But the more she thought about it, the more the idea seemed plausible. He had never mentioned who his father was, only that he was part of the elite in this realm. He had also said that his father sent him in search for something, which he later claimed to be the abomination. According to him, his “father” was determined to work with the abomination in order to bring down the supreme lord of the Enu realm. “Are you angry?” he asked with a mocking smile. “Do you feel betrayed?” Gwen swallowed, fol

Gwen couldn't sleep. She laid awake all night, afraid that Luther would enter her room. She wasn't stupid to think that just because she had locked the door, it totally prevented him from entering her room. Especially after the display he showcased the previous day. She doubted that the barrier she put around her door could stop him if he so wishes. She was brought food by maids the previous night, but she couldn't eat. For some strange reason, the maids gave off doll-like gestures, almost like they were being controlled like puppets. She wouldn't put it past Luther to actually do that. She had to up her game, and think fast. Her first plan had proven futile, which meant she had to use her second plan—her wits.It was something she detested doing because to achieve her goal, she would have to act like she had no problem being close to Luther which she absolutely did. It was morning. The sunlight seeped through her room from the half-closed windows, pouring over her bedsheets.Quickly
