Since Gwen finally got ahold of how to use the spells, she has been practicing non stop. Marc and Hesper has gotten her a huge bag of blood, one that was enough to last her for a long time as she only needed a pinch to carry out most of the spells. “You might need much one day,” Marc has said when practicing with her. “A time would come when you will have to use a big spell, and a small amount of blood wouldn’t be enough.” One day, she was practicing when she suddenly fell down, screaming in pain. Her face was on fire, almost like someone was dragging a knife through it. When she was done, she lay on the floor gasping in pain. Sheryl was the first to find her and when she saw how Gwen looked like, horror overtook her features. “A dark lily,” she whispered, her voice hoarse. Gwen fell unconscious after that. When she woke up, Sheryl told her that the dark lily was one of the most powerful plants in their kingdom. As it has to do with rebirth, she can literally bring someone back to
Gwen walked out of her room and went to Marc's office where Sandra sat. Once Sandra took a proper look at her, her eyes widened."Gwendolyn? Is that you?" She stood up from where she sat and tried getting closer to Gwen but was instantly stopped at the sound of Tyron's voice."What are you doing here?" he asked, panting heavily. "How did you find me?""Well you haven't kept a low profile since you arrived, so," she shrugged. "Leave," he demanded, his voice serious. "I do not want you here."Sandra frowned. "That's not very nice of you. I came over to see you and you want to throw me out?" she looked at Gwen. "Besides, it looks like you just discovered something interesting. You can't let go of me now.""Watch me," he said, moving to drag Sandra. "What are you doing? Let go of me!" she screamed, removing her hand from his hold."What do I have to do so you can leave me alone?" Tyron screamed, rounding off at her. This time, genuine fear appeared in Sandra's eyes. "Tyron, what's wron
Gwen woke up with a severe headache. She stood up, massaging her aching head as she looked around, trying to figure out where exactly she was. She was outside, and it looked like a hidden area where none hardly ever passed. The now familiar night sky told her that she was still in the Zruch realm. How did she get here? she wondered. the last thing she remembered was meditating, and then Sheryl coming to visit her...Sheryl... that's it.She remembered the malevolent look etched on her friend's face, and no matter how much she thought of it, she was very sure that face wasn't of her friend. something about it didn't just feel right."Finally, your awake." a voice said, breaking her out of her musing. Gwen quickly turned around to face the voice, immediately on high alert."Sandra." She said, recognizing the form that walked towards her. The female grinned maliciously, and Gwen frowned deeply."Where is Sheryl?" she asked. "What have you done to her?""Oh, nothing much. Just put her to s
They all stared at her in shock."What do you mean you left her for dead?" Sheryl asked. "You killed her?""I don't know!" Gwen exclaimed, her earlier fear rising in her. "I truly don't know. Once I saw that she was bleeding, it was like another thing took over me. I reveled in her suffering, and wanted her to bleed more.""Oh no," Marc said, and Hesper shook his head sadly."What is that expression?" Sheryl asked, looking at him. "Is there something we don't know?""We forgot about this," Marc said, slapping his head. "Since our powers deal with the night and the blood, the people of the Zruch realm can be extremely bloodthirsty, and this is heightened when fighting.""Gwen was simply overcome by her powers that's all," Hesper said calmly. "It's not a big deal.""It's not a big deal?" Gwen exclaimed, fighting the urge to drag her bloodied hands through her hair. "I just killed someone!""Or might have." Hesper said. "Besides, it was either you or her. Imagine if she has brought you to
Sandra woke up with a gasp, and checked her body, looking for hidden injuries. When she didn't find any, she looked around her environment, and for a while found the place unfamiliar."I can see that you are awake." A voice said, bringing her out of her stupor."My Lord," Sandra said, bowing immediately when she saw the supreme Lord. He walked over to where she lay and say down next to her. "How are you feeling?""I feel great my Lord. It's all thanks to you." She said, her head still bowed. "Hmm." The Supreme Lord exclaimed. "Now, can you tell me what happened?"Sandra looked up at him, the memory of her last battle causing fear to rise on her skin."The Abomination. I have found the Abomination.""Really?" The supreme lord said, cocking his head to the side. "I am surprised. I thought Tyron would be the first to find it."She remembered Tyron's hateful look and gritted her teeth. Since she wouldn't ever gain his heart, there is no way she would allow him to live in peace."He was t
"There is a problem." Marc said, hurrying into the room with Hesper. They both called for a meeting a few minutes ago, and everyone was gathered in Marc's office.Gwen was seated by the side, wondering what exactly is going on. They had mentioned a few days ago that something didn't feel right, and both had been busy trying to figure out what it is.Sheryl on the other hand was also extremely nervous. Though she smiled and laughed with everyone else, Gwen could see through her facade. She was standing at the entrance of the office, next to Tyron, waiting for Marc to say what he had discovered."The Ogwu realm is under attack." Hesper deadpanned. The room went silent, and all eyes went to Sheryl. Gwen sat up, worried for her friend as she watched the color drain out of her face."What do you mean?" She asked, her voice shaky. "It wasn't supposed to happen for another year or so. You told me this.""Exactly. We have no idea why he decided to strike now." Marc said, for the first time loo
"Please tell me you are joking." Gwen said, her heart in her throat. Everyone remained silent, all staring at Sheryl with pity.Sheryl stood still, the color drained from her face."What happened?" Tyron asked. "According to the letter, the Enu realm uses rjwoenowm gimmicks against them. Unknown to them they have been studying the poisonous barrier erected around the poisonous sect, and they were able to create a clone that exploded when in contact with theirs. The war was over before it even began."Sheryl collapsed on the seat closet to her, and Gwen took her side. This was definitely not good news. What was going to happen to the Ogwu realm now?"You need to be strong, Sheryl." Hesper said. "Things are only going to get tougher from here on out. You need to be strong so that when you make a come back, everything will work out well for you.""But what's the point then? The kingdom has already fallen.""It's not to late." Marc said. "Remember we have Gwen on our side. She is the Abo
"Sandra, trust me. You do not know who you are dealing with." Sheryl spoke from under her captor's hold."Keep quiet plant. I can easily end your pathetic life now.""You wouldn't dare." Gwen called out."Try me." Sandra replied, grinning.Gwen remained silent, sorting her thoughts. This was a perfect opportunity, she thought. She finally had the chance to meet the supreme Lord of the Enu realm, so why exactly was she hesitating? She had to face him one day. What better chance than now?"Okay then." Gwen agreed. "Let's go."Sandra looked shocked by her answer. Apparently she wasn't expecting that."Gwen." Tyron said, holding unto her arm."It's okay," she said comfortingly, patting him. "This day would have come sooner or later."She turned back to Sandra. "Let's go. But first, release my friend.""You do not have the final say here." Sandra said, holding tightly unto her."If anything should happen to Sheryl," Gwen said slowly. "I promise you that it wouldn't end well for you either.
The piercing scream of Luther's wife filled the air, but no one paid any attention to her. All their attention laid on Gwen, the woman who had just rescued them from the millennial reign of a mad man."What are you doing?" Tyron boomed out of nowhere. "Bow to your new leader!"Gwen turned to look at him, frowning. "What are you doing?" She whispered. "You killed the Supreme Lord of the Enu realm. You are now the new supreme lord." He said simply, shrugging. She frowned, and just as she was about to say something, Luther's wife boomed."You can't be the new leader. Not when my sons are still alive.""Your sons are barely alive," Tyron said, snickering. "Weren't you listening while I was talking? He—" he said, pointing to Luther's corpse. "Used their blood to improve his youth. Whatever he did wasn't working for him anymore, and so he turned to his own blood. Haven't you noticed something wrong with your children? Yourself even?""No!" She exclaimed, shaking her head vigorously. "You'
Gwen stepped back a bit, staring at Luther in shock."No," She whispered. Slowly, luther turned fully around, a disappointed look on his face. "This was a special day for us, why did you have to destroy it?"She swallowed, trying hard to be bold. "As I said earlier, I'd rather die than be married to you.""But I can't let that happen. And because if this foolish mistake of yours, your friends will suffer immensely."Immediately, Gwen summoned dark flames, her stance in attack mode. " I will fight you with everything I have."Luther sighed, then raised his fingers towards her. But nothing happened. Frowning, luther stared at his hands, abs Gwen stared st him, wondering what was happening. Immediately he swivels around, trying to hide himself from her, but it was too late. She already knew what happened. Her attack had worked after all. Not just in the way she expected. "You can't use your powers," she said staring at his back. "Can you?"Angrily he turned back to her, his face eer
Gwen and Luther finally reached the throne. Though the woman didn’t say anything, Gwen could still much feel the scorching stare of Luther’s wife on her back. She gulped, trying to calm her nerves down. By the time she was done with her plan, anger might be the last thing the woman would feel. “I hold the supreme power in this land.” Luther began. “Therefore, it is only right that i officiate a powerful wedding such as this. You are lucky,” he said, this time whispering to her. “I never did this for my first wedding.” She gritted her teeth, imagining ways by which she could kill him. She didn’t want to marry him. It was the last thing on her mind. The plan she had imagined only required them to go so far, but she never knew that they would wed in front of everyone. If she wanted to defeat this man, she had to do so immediately, and fast. Luther turned around, urging Gwen to do the same. He ran his hand gently across her back, causing cold shivers to crawl up her skin. “People of th
An hour passed. The maids were done. They left the room a few minutes ago to report to the man who had hired them.Gwen stared at herself in the mirror, feeling a bit weird for he vision looking back at her.She was beautiful, no doubt, but the image wasn't what caught her attention. It was the dim light that shone from her eyes. She knew the action she was about to take. Should she fail, that would spell a fate worse than death for her. "Gwen," Sheryl said, coming up from behind her.""I am fine." Gwen answered, sighing. She looked at Tyron through the mirror. He stood at the far corner of the room, his face etched deeply in a frown, with a thick air of misery surrounding him."This is what I have to do. The fate of the realms depends on it," she said.Tyron sighed, then furiously dragged his hands through his hair."I understand, of course I understand. But why does it have to be you?"Gwen frowned slightly, cocking her head. "What do you mean?""I do not want you anywhere near that
"How many times will I tell you to stop playing with your life?" Luther asked coldly, causing Gwen to grin."Wow, if I never knew how much I meant yo you before, I do now. It really does seem like inam your weakness."Luther sighed, dragging his hands through his hair. "I will let you all leave quietly, but that shouldn't mean you should take any drastic action.""Hey, Prince Luther, I have another request-""Do not push your luck." He boomed, staring coldly at Gwen. He then released a slow sigh. "Do not push your luck. I don't want to have to repeat my past mistakes. Understand?" He said with a forced grin.Gwen gulped, then glanced back at her friends and slowly let the shield down. She stayed in place, not moving an inch until Luther's guards parted for her. Slowly, they all began to walk to the entrance, and they quickly walked out of it when they reached, not bothering to pause for the supreme Lord."Gwen, what are you doing?" Sheryl asked when they had gone far from Luther."I'm
They had just rounded off their meeting when the supreme lord suddenly appeared in the garden."Well, well. Why am I not surprised?" He said, walking in. Behind him were several fully armed guards, their presence ominous.Gwen and her friends moved a step back, with Gwen standing in front of them in a protective manner.Luther chuckled. "What do you think you're doing?""I wouldn't let you harm my friends." Gwen said defensively. Luther sighed, shaking his head. "You should have thought of that before you escaped.""Why are you acting like you didn't know when I left that room. You planned all this, just to follow me.""You are smart. I have never doubted that." He said, and Gwen grimaced."Fine then." He clapped his hands. "There is only one thing to do if you want your friends to be safe."Gwen's frown deepened. "And what is that?""Marry me."She chuckled. "It's like you have forgotten what I said. I would rather die than get married to you.""Well this time you'd have no choice.
Geen looked at them, her eyes flooding with relief. "You are okay!" She exclaimed, almost jumping in happiness. "Oh thank heavens.""What are you doing here? How were you able to escape?" Tyron said, dragging his gaze over her."Yeah," Sheryl added. "We thought you'd be held by the supreme lord.""I was." Geen answered. "But I was able to escape."At that, Tyron's frown deepened. "Something's very wrong." He pointed out. "Quick, cast a protection spell over us."Gwen frowned. "How do I do that?" "I don't know. Make it seem like we are in the Zruch realm or something."Gwen understood immediately what he meant. Hester and Marc had once mentioned that it's Impossible for people to be tracked once they were in the realm. She sighed, pinched her already injured arm to draw out blood, and whispered a spell while waving her hands around them. A dark cloudy smoke appeared and covered them, then suddenly disappeared."Good." Tyron said, sighing in relief. "Now let's get out of here."Gwen no
Gwen stared at him in shock. “You are lying.” “I might be many things, my dear, but I will never lie to you.” he sat by the edge of her bed. “I sent him on a mission to bring the Abomination to me. That was what he was doing at first, but his plans changed when he realized you were the Abomination. I don’t blame him though. I would have done the same myself.” Gwen touched a hand to her chest, hyperventilating. He was lying. He had to be. Tyron wasn’t the type who would play her like that. But the more she thought about it, the more the idea seemed plausible. He had never mentioned who his father was, only that he was part of the elite in this realm. He had also said that his father sent him in search for something, which he later claimed to be the abomination. According to him, his “father” was determined to work with the abomination in order to bring down the supreme lord of the Enu realm. “Are you angry?” he asked with a mocking smile. “Do you feel betrayed?” Gwen swallowed, fol
Gwen couldn't sleep. She laid awake all night, afraid that Luther would enter her room. She wasn't stupid to think that just because she had locked the door, it totally prevented him from entering her room. Especially after the display he showcased the previous day. She doubted that the barrier she put around her door could stop him if he so wishes. She was brought food by maids the previous night, but she couldn't eat. For some strange reason, the maids gave off doll-like gestures, almost like they were being controlled like puppets. She wouldn't put it past Luther to actually do that. She had to up her game, and think fast. Her first plan had proven futile, which meant she had to use her second plan—her wits.It was something she detested doing because to achieve her goal, she would have to act like she had no problem being close to Luther which she absolutely did. It was morning. The sunlight seeped through her room from the half-closed windows, pouring over her bedsheets.Quickly
