Three days later, Gwen was packed and ready to go for her journey. She was still hesitant about leaving her mother alone, but her mother was adamant about her going away for a while. She didn’t understand her mother’s fears, but in order to keep her mind at peace, she had no choice but to do her bidding.

She stood in front of her door, a small suitcase by her side, as her mother looked her up and down, running her hands down her daughter’s arms.

“I will miss you.” She whispered, looking at her daughter.

“I can still say back.” Gwen said. “It’s not too late.”

Her mother shook her head, smiling sadly. “It is better you leave.”

“Mom, have you ever considered that you just might be thinking too much into this? Your ex-husband may not do anything to us in the end.”

“You do not know your father like I do. He has ambition, and from what I saw when last he came, his ambition has grown passed what he can handle. He can do anything to solve a problem that pushes him to the wall. If you are

The next day came and Gwen decided to spend it touring the city. But before he did that, she wanted to see the doctor first to find out if anything was wrong with her. She walked out of the inn, greeting the inn keeper who had assigned her room to her the previous day, then walked straight into the busy streets. The capital city was much more rowdy than she had imagined. There were different characters lining the streets, and no such thing as bias was seen between them. Gwen had always heard that the city was a place where people of different background meet. It was a haven for underground criminals, and people who dreamed to be more popular. Rumors have it that her former boss had started there. She was on her way to see a mind doctor, so she looked out for his sign. Though this was her first time alone in the city, it wasn’t difficult to navigate through it. Her mother had told her about this doctor, saying that he was one of the best in the realm. She knew him from her time as an e

“I’ll go get you some water before we start.” The doctor said, moving away from her. He walked out of the room, leaving her alone to her thoughts. Hypnosis was something she had only ever heard rumors about. People called it mind control, because it had to do with controlling one’s mind to reveal their secret. This was something she had never expected would happen to her, so she took in deep breaths to try and calm her nerves. The doctor walked back into the room, holding a glass of water. He walked over to her and handed her the glass, and she took it, smiling gratefully. “Thank you.” Gwen said, taking a sip out of it. The doctor walked to his desk and leaned on it. “Are you ready? Do you want to begin?” She dropped the glass cup on the ground, then sat up straight. “I am ready.” “Okay then.” He slapped his hands together. “I’ll need you to lie down on the couch.” Gwen frowned. “L-Lie down?” She asked, stammering. “Yes. I’ll need you to be in a perfect state of rest. Lying dow

“Ogwu realm?” Gwendolyn asked, her heart stopping. The doctor nodded his head, releasing a sad breath. “Yes. They have the powers to heal any form of affliction.” “Is there something seriously wrong with me, Doctor? How bad is it that I have to go to another realm for help?” “I do not want to scare you Gwen,” he said, folding his hands together. “But something about this vision of yours seems strange. I do not know exactly how to stop it, so you might be plagued with the dreams forever.” She remained silent, studying the fingers that lay on her lap. She didn’t want to dream about these visions every night, she wouldn’t be able to take it. “Remember that you mentioned an old man, who knew about the previous dream you had about your father, only to conform he was right when your father appeared days later?” Gwen glanced at him and nodded her head, curious about where he was going with this. “Have you ever considered that he may not be from this realm? Think about it. The people of

Gwen looked at the old man with a frown etched on her face. “What do you mean?” “I do not see it clearly, but there is someone from Enu realm that is going to cause you serious problems. Whether you solve them is up to you or not. I am just giving you a heads up so you can avoid the problems all together.” She remained silent, not knowing what to say about that. She really didn’t want to believe the man, but all the times she had met him, he had been right–even if it was just one time. If she had to avoid people from the Enu realm that would mean that she couldn’t associate with Tyron if she ever saw him again. Now that she thought of it, she wondered if what he was looking for was somehow connected to her. If it was, he would never have left her. She looked at the old man to see him staring intently at her, his gaze still serious. “I have a question.” She asked. “You can go on.” “I know that should I ask for your name, you wouldn’t give it to me. But at least, you can tell me wh

Tyron scrunched his brows. “Gone? As in, she went on an errand?” “No, Gone.” Gwen’s mother replied, squeezing her eyes in pain. She looked away and sighed. “I do not know where she is.” Tyron frowned deeply. “How long has she been gone? And why did she leave?” “For over a month now. She left because I told her too. I asked her not to tell me where she was, because I didn’t want her father to know should he come for me and force me. You saw what he was about to do to me.” Tyron dragged his hand over his face, frustrated. He had rushed all the way back to see Gwen because she was the abomination, only to find that she wasn’t around and he didn’t know where she was. Why was fate never on his side? “Please, I really need to see her.” Tyron said, looking at the woman pleadingly. “You might not know where she is now, but at least you have an idea of where she first went, don’t you?” The woman averted her gaze, squeezing her fingers furiously. “Please,” Tyron begged, taking her hands i

  • The Abomination   Chapter Fifty Five: The Ogwu Realm...

Gwen had walked through miles of shrubs for heaven knew how long. She was beginning to think that she wouldn’t see any human before the day ended. Thinking of the day, she looked up at the sky and sighed. The weather was far different from that of Dras. She could see three Suns and two Moons, and the sky was bluish-green. She didn’t know how the concept of time was being calculated there, and she was beginning to regret not doing further research before coming there. Several times she had looked behind her, trying to see if she could still go back and ask the guards for directions but the distance was enough to discourage her. Tired, she crouched down on the side of the road, her luggage right behind her. Her legs hurt from the excess walk she had done and she wanted to catch her breath. Low on the ground, she took a look at her environment. There was nothing special about it as she was surrounded by shrubs in every area. “Heavens.” Gwen muttered, making herself comfortable on the d

“I assume that you do not have a place to stay. Am I correct?” The huge man asked. Gwen nodded her head in response. “Yes sir. I am just coming into this realm.” “Okay then. One of the guards would lead you to a place where you can stay.” “Thank you so much.” She said, grateful. Then she added hesitatingly. “Can you please take me to a cheap place?” The man looked at her, confused. “Cheap place?” “Yes. I do not have much money for an extravagant place. I would very much prefer a simple place to stay.” “Oh do not worry then. We have a place like that too.” Gwen stood up from her seat, then bowed slightly towards him. “Thank you so much.” He gave an awkward grin. “You are welcome.” He stated curtly. The guard holding unto her luggage nodded towards the door, and she smiled softly and walked out, with him following right behind her. When they walked out of the strange building, the guard tapped her shoulder, urging Gwen to follow him. She did as he asked, making sure to stick clo

“Hi Eve.” Gwen said, grinning widely. “I am Gwen as you already know.”The woman laughed, waving her hands away. “So for the reason I am here,” Gwen continued, sitting up straight. “I have a problem that I am trying to solve.”Eve looked at her curiously but said nothing, waiting for her to continue.“I have been having bad dreams for months, and it has been affecting me. I went to a mind doctor and sadly, he couldn’t do anything about it. So he told me to come here, after all, the Ogwu realm is best known for healing.”“Oh,” Eve exclaimed, nodding her head. “I understand now.”“So,” Gwen said, leaning closer. “Do you perhaps know anyone that can help me with it?”“We have so many healers in this realm. Definitely one has to be able to help you. You can ask the guard chief. Since he brought you here, he probably would take you to the best doctor.”“Yeah, the problem is that I can’t figure out the way back to the guard house.” Gwen said, scratching the back of her head.“Do not worry!

"Bow to your new leader!"Gwen turned to look at him, frowning. "What are you doing?" She whispered. "You killed the Supreme Lord of the Enu realm. You are now the new supreme lord." Gwen and Luther finally reached the throne. Though the woman didn’t say anything, Gwen could still much feel the scorching stare of Luther’s wife on her back. She gulped, trying to calm her nerves down. By the time she was done with her plan, anger might be the last thing the woman would feel. “I hold the supreme power in this land.” Luther began. “Therefore, it is only right that i officiate a powerful wedding such as this. You are lucky,” he said, this time whispering to her. “I never did this for my first wedding.” She gritted her teeth, imagining ways by which she could kill him. She didn’t want to marry him. It was the last thing on her mind. The plan she had imagined only required them to go so far, but she never knew that they would wed in front of everyone. If she wanted to defeat this man, she had to do so immediately, and fast. Luther turned around, urging Gwen to do the same. He ran his hand gently across her back, causing cold shivers to crawl up her skin. “People of th

He stood at the far corner of the room, his face etched deeply in a frown, with a thick air of misery surrounding him."This is what I have to do. The fate of the realms depends on it," she said.Tyron sighed, then furiously dragged his hands through his hair."I understand, of course I understand. Gwen stared at him in shock. “You are lying.” “I might be many things, my dear, but I will never lie to you.” he sat by the edge of her bed. “I sent him on a mission to bring the Abomination to me. That was what he was doing at first, but his plans changed when he realized you were the Abomination. I don’t blame him though. I would have done the same myself.” Gwen touched a hand to her chest, hyperventilating. He was lying. He had to be. Tyron wasn’t the type who would play her like that. But the more she thought about it, the more the idea seemed plausible. He had never mentioned who his father was, only that he was part of the elite in this realm. He had also said that his father sent him in search for something, which he later claimed to be the abomination. According to him, his “father” was determined to work with the abomination in order to bring down the supreme lord of the Enu realm. “Are you angry?” he asked with a mocking smile. “Do you feel betrayed?” Gwen swallowed, fol

Gwen couldn't sleep. She laid awake all night, afraid that Luther would enter her room. She wasn't stupid to think that just because she had locked the door, it totally prevented him from entering her room. Especially after the display he showcased the previous day. She doubted that the barrier she put around her door could stop him if he so wishes. She was brought food by maids the previous night, but she couldn't eat. For some strange reason, the maids gave off doll-like gestures, almost like they were being controlled like puppets. She wouldn't put it past Luther to actually do that. She had to up her game, and think fast. Her first plan had proven futile, which meant she had to use her second plan—her wits.It was something she detested doing because to achieve her goal, she would have to act like she had no problem being close to Luther which she absolutely did. It was morning. The sunlight seeped through her room from the half-closed windows, pouring over her bedsheets.Quickly
