CHAPTER - 3

NIRA'S POV

I went inside the meeting hall and started my presentation. I did my presentation well, I think so. He asked me to wait for some time, so that he can announce to which company he is going to give this project. I nodded and left.

Shreya was waiting for me in the waiting hall. When I entered there everyone's attention turned towards me. Shreya came running towards me and asked what happened inside I told her what he said. We both sat next to each other.

Sreesha came near me. I looked at her. "How are you Niru? You too forgot me, didn't you?", she asked with anger.

She is Vir's girlfriend. We both were good friends too. But I was not in contact with her these six years. I just stood up and gave her a warm hug.

"I am fine. How are you? You have become more beautiful in these six years.", I told her.

"Please Niru, you were the most beautiful girl in our college. The number of proposals you got is infinity. And you are saying I have become more beautiful. ", she said laughing at me.

"When is your marriage?", I asked her.

"After Paavak's marriage Niru. Vir is so stubborn that he will marry only after his brother. We are seeing some alliances for him.", she said in a sad tone.

I never thought Paavak could remarry someone. Maybe he really forgot me and moved on in his life. Here I am thinking he may give me another chance. Unknowingly tears welled up in my eyes.

"Enough Sreesha, you don't have to give our family details to unknown people", a voice roared.

I turned and saw that it was my best friend Vir. Now, ex-best friend. Once I was his everything more than his family. But today I am an unknown person. What a fate I have. How ironic it is that both my husband and my best friend hate me so much.

AAVIR'S POV

I saw her after so many years. My bestie, my sister- in-law, my Ru, everyone calls her Niru I am the only one who calls her Ru. She is still looking the same. She came after the presentation and Sreesha started speaking to her. When Ru asked her about our marriage, I know she wants to know when I am getting married. But when Sreesha said that our marriage is after Bhai's marriage, I saw the tears that welled up in her eyes.

Still, I can't see her broken in front of me. Even after what she did to me and Bhai I can't see her pain. I made a harsh comment so that Sreeshadon't bring up that topic again. I know Ru loves Bhai so much. But Sreesha is right, I am the one who is forcing Bhai to get married. Bhai strictly said that he doesn't want to marry again. And one more truth is that I can't get a bride like my Ru. Why are you making so difficult for me now Ru? I want to break her into pieces, but here even I can't see her tears. She was my best friend after all.

NIRA'S POV

"Yes right, Sreesha don't give us the details of dirty pigs who don't know the value of love and friendship. We have so much better things to do in life", Shreya stood up for me again.

"Mind your words Shreya. Don't you dare talk bad about us", it was Paavak this time.

After a long time, I heard both their voices.

"Guys, please calm down. We are not in your house. It is a business meeting.", Kirush Bhai interrupted and calmed the situation.

PAAVAK'S POV

I saw Nira after a long time. She came out of her presentation and Sreesha started speaking to her. When she came to know that Sreesha and laddo were searching for a bride to get me married, she got tears in her eyes; she was almost in the verge of crying. I was about to stop Sreesha, laddo shouted at her.

That too when he said that she is an unknown person, I was little shocked. Because I thought laddo still thinks her as his best friend. He had some soft corner for her. Then this Shreya I don't know what her problem is, she never liked me from the beginning. Well, she never liked any men though. Still, how dare she call us dirty pigs.

NIRA'S POV

"Am I interrupting something?", someone peeked through the door.

It was Dhara. God, now why she came here now?

"Choti, what are you doing here? You went to office to solve an issue.", I asked her because already the drama is already high.

"Sis chill, the issue got solved so I thought to give you a moral support here.", choti said it in her happy tone. She is crazy sometimes.

"OMG! JJ you are here", she shouted deafening all our ears.

Dhara ran to Paavak like a small girl seeing a candy. She calls him JJ in short for Jiju. She loves him like her own brother, though she shouted at him when he was accusing me. They both share a great bond. He hugged her back.

"Hey sweetie pie, are you good? How many proposals you got? Tell me, I will break all their bones", Paavak asked her

He used to call her sweetie pie. He used to say Dhara is like a daughter to him. She is his princess. Whatever she asks him, he used to get her. He pampered her a lot.

"Bhai, how can someone propose this little mouse?", Vir mocked her.

Now she is going to bang Vir's head for sure.

"How dare you call me a little mouse? Palm tree, you are still the same brainless idiot. And JJ, I am awesome as usual. You have become more handsome in these years.", Choti again hugged him saying this. Everyone chuckled when she called him Palm tree.

Vir and Dhara are two opposite poles. She is just 5'5 in height, whereas he is 6 feet. From the day they met, their fight started. They don't want reasons to fight whenever they meet they fight. It is a rule which is not written in their law book.

DHARA'S POV

I went to the office and solved the problem that was taking place. I thought to go and meet sis in her rendezvous. When I entered, the receptionist sent me to the waiting room. I heard loud voices coming from the room. I peeked in the door and asked whether I am interrupting them. Then I saw my JJ. OMG! It has been a long time that we met. I ran to him like a child and hugged him. When he was asking about my whereabouts that idiot Palm tree mocked me. He never changed, such a hopeless guy.

NIRA'S POV

When all this chaos was happening, Mr. Rajvanshi came inside the room. Everyone turned towards him.

"Hi everyone, I am ready to announce to whom this project goes", he said with a smile.

I prayed that I should get this project. It's not like I don't want Paavak to win. It is my current situation now.

"So, Mr.Agarkar your presentation was so modern and intellectual. But it didn't touch my heart, though my brain is quite impressed", he said looking at Paavak.

"Ms. Joshi, your project was so lively and natural. It really touched my heart, but it lacked contemporary.", he said this looking at me.

"God, then who will get the project? Please let me get this project.", I silently prayed to God.

"My decision is that I want both your constructions to join together and do the project", he said shocking everybody.

"WHAT??????", everyone in the room except Mr.Rajvanshi shouted together.
