In the L'Enclume Cafe, Valeria, Abbie, and Braelynn had stayed in the private dining room for two hours before they left satisfyingly.

As they went downstairs, the door of the next room suddenly opened, and it was seen that Richard and a beautiful woman were coming out one after the other.

They were both smiling from ear to ear. The woman immediately reached out and held Richard's arm as she spotted Braelynn and the other women. The pair seemed to be extremely close and comfortable with each other.

Abbie was feeling extremely bitter upon seeing the woman's reaction. She took a peek at Richard and realized that he was not surprised at all. She was a little uneasy and muttered to herself, "What the hell!"

Abbie then reached out and grabbed Valeria's hand as they went downstairs. Braelynn glanced at Richard and the woman while she quickened her pace to catch up with Abbie.

The three women bid goodbye to each other at the entrance of the cafe. Valeria and Ab

A voice suddenly emerged outside of the ward. "I heard that the sh*tty beauty is on this floor. Which ward is she in? I'm very curious and would want to see what does she really looks like." "What? How could there be such a bizarre name?" "Haven't you seen the news? It is a new thing today as she is previously the most beautiful and talented woman in Ruthorham. She is also one of the famous women among the upper-class circle. However, her reputation has all gone down the drain today. I heard that she was rescued by the doctors and nurses but they almost fainted due to her excessive stool which had a disastrous odor." "What? A noblewoman? Are you sure? That sounds ridiculous!" "Yes, the news has spread on the Internet. The sh*tty beauty is named Natasya while her father i

Hardy was at Acma Corporation and just hung up a call from abroad. He pondered for a moment and decided to call Bevan to come in. "Arrange a few of our best men to keep an eye on William. Keep him under a close watch!" "Erm... Mr. Anthony, what are you planning to do?" Bevan wanted to know what was going on in Hardy's mind.  "You don't have to ask questions and just do whatever I say," Hardy replied impatiently. "I'll arrange accordingly, but William's men are very cautious and alert. If they happen to find out..." Bevan reminded. "Isn't that why we have to be careful? Tell them to be discreet! Do not let William's men spot us!" Hardy then realized that they might mess things up no matter how meticulous they were. He then waved his hand at Bevan and said, "Wait, let me think about it again." Bevan stood there and waited for a while. Hardy then sneered and said, "Let's not fix our eyes on William to avoid being exposed and I have another idea. You do

Abbie left after sending Valeria back to Wolf Group. The fragrance of delicious food had teased her nose as soon as Valeria entered the presidential suite. William sat on the sofa in the living room while making a phone call with a helpless expression on his face. "No, she was not alone. I have ordered the bodyguards to follow along." "No, that's not the way to do things!" Hayden was on the other end and snapped, "You b*stard, let her do things freely if she is not pregnant. How could you still act indifferently now that she is expecting? What should we do if something happens to her?" "Don't worry, it won't happen!" "It's always wise to play safe! Move back in this instance if you can't take good care of her. I'll arrange for someone to look after her instead." "I can do a good job! You do not have to worry!" He immediately told Hayden upon seeing Valeria, "Valeria is back. Talk to you soon. Goodbye." William then threw his phone aside and stood up

Marcus then turned around and realized Silas had opened the package that contained the blanket brought by the lawyer. Silas took it out and slowly inspected the edges with his hand. Marcus observed as Silas fumbled around on the blanket for a while and Silas suddenly paused his movements at an area of it. He had a strange expression on his face in which Marcus instantly asked, "Is there anything off?" "This area seems different from others as if there is something round in it," Silas replied. "What?" Marcus paused for a moment while Silas took out a pocket knife and began to cut along the lines of the blanket. The blanket was soon meticulously cut open and there was a white pill hidden in it. Marcus was utterly shocked, "There is really something in it. What pill is this?" "It's definitely not a supplement," Silas jokingly replied with a grin on his face.  "Wow, Mr. Howard is an accurate predictor, isn't he?" Marcus was very impressed with Will

William texted back with a grin on his face, "I knew that I could not hide anything from my marvelous grandma! How could you be so brilliant and observant?" "Pfft! Stop buttering me up and just cut to the chase," Deborah replied impatiently.  "Well, I just want to talk about my mother. I would like to know what kind of person she was." "Your mother." Deborah's heart was full of sorrow when mentioning her deceased daughter, "Your mother was a gentle and kind woman. She was beautiful, well-mannered, and treated everyone indifferently even with servants. I have never seen anyone who had a bad impression on her." Children were always the best in the eyes of the parents. Deborah only had praises when mentioning her daughter.  "It's a pity that the good always dies young. William woke up early in the morning and got out of bed quietly as he did not want to wake Valeria up. He then went to the guest room next door to wash up. He then called Marcus and ordered him to arrange for someone to investigate Emily. It would not be an easy task as he had never heard about Emily before and only knew that she was someone who resided here. However, all hopes were not lost as they would gain a lead by checking out the name list curated by the government to study abroad twenty years ago.  William was not worried about it as he would eventually have a grasp on her identity as long as Emily was still alive. He was instead worried that Emily had nothing to do with the incident. He would then be taken back to square one if that turned out to be the case. He must be on top of his toes during the investigation as he needed to sort out her details meticulously.  William would only be at ease once he found out about the mysterious man and t

Hardy's men were feeling delighted and immediately reported to Bevan, "Bevan, the target has appeared!" He then swiftly reported back to Hardy. Hardy was caught by surprise as the mysterious foreigner was accurate about the whereabouts of William. It was obvious that Declan would really be faced with death since William had appeared at the detention center. It was also a definite success to frame Declan's death onto William.  Hardy was in high spirits and ordered, "Arrange for someone to keep a close eye at the detention center. Put the blame onto William instantly when the death of Declan had been announced." As William and Bobby got out of the car, Bobby reminded him in a deep voice, "Sir William, I saw two cars parked at both sides when I was driving just now. They m

  • That Stranger Lying Beside Me   Chapter 1748 The End

On the day of Azalea's recovery, she was escorted out of the hospital by two police officers to wait for her sentence. She was wearing shackles and handcuffs as she walked through the parking lot. She saw Michael with Abbie, who was holding Emma in her arms. Michael was holding Abbie's waist, ready to get into their car. Seeing that Michael had recovered, Azalea was extremely perplexed. She had learned from the police that Leonard's man had tried to kill her to silence her and knew that Leonard was using her, so she did not regret her vicious behavior. Azalea stared at the child in Abbie's arms and Michael as she started to have vicious thoughts. If the one who got injured that day was Abbie, and if Abbie died, everything would be different now, wouldn't it? Michael would be living a life worse than death. His child would not have a mother anymore, and no one could have what she couldn't. She would be satisfied. However, all of this was just her imaginatio

After Leonard's matter was settled, Richard returned to the Clark family. Abbie wasn't asleep yet and was sitting alone in the living room in a daze. Richard walked to her and sat down. Then, he reached out and patted her on the shoulder. "Why aren't you asleep yet?" "I can't sleep. Richard, he... he will be fine, won't he?" "Don't think too much. He will be fine." "I don't want anything to happen to him... Richard, I actually hate him very much and have never thought of being with him again. I have suffered enough! Every time I made up my mind to cut all ties with him, something bad would happen like what happened now. Richard, what should I do?" Richard understood Abbie's dilemma. "Abbie, do you still love him?" "I don't know! I hate him! I hate him so much!" "You can't let him go, can you? You and he broke up three times, but he has always been in your heart." Richard sighed. "To be honest, I don't want you and him to start over again. After

It was late at night in Azalea's ward as she lay on the bed and fell asleep with her eyes closed. Three of Azalea's ribs were broken while one of her hands was handcuffed to the hospital bed. The policeman guarding her felt that there was no way she could escape, so he relaxed his guard. The man who was arranged by Leonard's assistant had been waiting for the right moment in the hospital. Then, they immediately entered the ward and attacked Azalea when they saw that the policeman had left. Just as they covered Azalea's mouth and were about to suffocate her to death, a soft voice could be heard by the door of the ward. "Hey! Are you trying to silence her?" The man turned his head and saw that Bobby were taking photos with his mobile phone while Silas was bent over in laughter. Later, Leonard was woken up at 2 a.m. in the morning when Richard and his bodyguards came to visit him furiously. Leonard had already guessed the purpose of Richard's visit as soon as

It had been two days since Leonard's assistant brought Azalea back to the city and she was specially sent here today to attack Michael. Although Azalea hated Michael, she did love him immensely in the past and she didn't want to kill him. The one she hated the most was still Abbie. She had been overshadowed by Abbie since she was a child and she had never won against her before. It was all thanks to Abbie now that she ended up like this. Michael wouldn't deal with her if it weren't for Abbie, and she wouldn't have been driven to a dead end like this. She was going to die in the end anyway, so she wanted nothing more than to drag Abbie down with her. She knew that she couldn't get close to Abbie. Besides, she also knew very well that Leonard wanted to use her to kill Michael so that he could marry Abbie. Azalea acted as if she had been persuaded by Leonard's assistant to attack Michael, but in fact, her target was Abbie all along. She saw how desperat

Azalea looked up when she heard the voice and met Leonard's assistant's gaze in the car. She stopped crying once he got out of the car. "Miss Clark, I've been looking for you everywhere!" Azalea lowered her head frantically when she saw him, but he said warmly, "Miss Clark, get in the car." She didn't know if Leonard's assistant knew about the murder she'd committed, so she hesitated for a moment before getting into the car. He then gave her a bottle of water and some food. Azalea was famished because she hadn't eaten anything for a few days, so she wolfed down her food desperately. Leonard's assistant had been observing Azalea all this time, and he said once she finished eating, "I know what you've done! The police are now looking for you everywhere." Azalea's expression was filled with panic. "Are you going to hand me over to the police?" "No, I'm here to help you." "How can you do that?" Azalea asked in frustration. "I won't be a

It started to rain again early in the morning, which made the air in the mountains damp and cold. Meanwhile, Azalea lay motionlessly on the messy bed. She could hear the child's wailing from outside while Monthel's mother tried to coax the child. However, there was no sign of it ending even after some time. Monthel's mother started to become angry as well, so she scolded the child and eventually began to target Azalea again. "Why are you still lying in bed at this time? I've never seen someone as lazy as you. A wife should get up early in the morning to cook, but you are the only one who will laze around like this!" This was not the first time that Azalea had been scolded. Monthel's mother had begun to pick on her the second day after she arrived. Azalea would fight back initially, but she no longer dared to talk back after she was slapped in the face by Monthel. Monthel's mother cursed outside for a while. Then, she lifted the curtain and came into the ro

Leonard's expression turned very ugly, but Richard did not give him a chance to even catch his breath. "After I learnt of your relationship with her, I sent someone to extract the DNA of the fetus in Evelyn's belly and compare it with yours. The results show that she's indeed pregnant with your child, but you can verify it personally if you don't believe me." Since Richard dared to say this, there was no possibility for Leonard to turn the tables. The veins on Leonard's forehead bulged as he was filled with humiliation. He initially wanted to get back at Fandrey by asking him to propose the marriage to the Clark family, but she ended up being embarrased like this. He was furious, but Richard continued, "We are very grateful to you for saving Abbie's life. Although she can't marry you, we can continue to be friends if you want to." What could Leonard say? He had done a terrible mistake, so he couldn't possibly tell Richard that he wanted to cut all ties between t

Abbie tried her best to escape, but it was useless. Michael even kissed her on the face a few times, which made her so angry that her voice trembled. "Michael... F*ck you... I'm going to kill you!" Michael turned a deaf ear to her words because he hadn't been so close to Abbie for such a long time. He missed her like crazy, so how could he bring himself to let her go? Abbie kept struggling desperately, but her physical strength was no match for Michael's. Michael then carried her back to the sofa, which made her furious because she couldn't escape. "Michael, what are you trying to do?" Michael did not answer her at all. Instead, he just hugged her so tightly as if he didn't want to let her go at all. He hugged her for such a long time that her whole body had gone numb. "Michael, what's wrong with you? Let go of me! I can't move!" It was only then did Michael let go of Abbie. Her limbs had already gone numb and she felt extremely uncomfortable. Just t

Michael happily placed the coffee he ordered for Abbie in front of her. "Here, I've ordered your favourite coffee." However, Abbie sneered and picked up the coffee to splash it all over him. The coffee was very hot, but Michael just smiled bitterly and said, "Do you hate me so much?" "What do you think?" Abbie looked at Michael coldly without any affection in her eyes. "My feelings for you have never changed! What happened between me and Azalea is all fake, and I've never had anything to do with her. The news with Anastasia was also fake. I was the one who used her to provoke Azalea, but Leonard made up those news articles to get back at me. I swear, I haven't been with anyone else apart from you!" Abbie let out a cold laugh, "Really?" "I'm serious! I swear that I'm not lying to you!" "There's no need to swear, or else even you'll beleive your own lies." Michael became desperate when it was obvious that Abbie didn't believe him. "What do I have
