5. After Five Years

Sherly clicked her tongue, "I just came in last night, right after you got home."

"Why all of a sudden, ma'am?" Claire said in surprise.

"Yeah, I don't know, he basically brought a big group and booked all the parts in the Cleveland area."

Claire gaped.

She immediately sat down in her chair and opened the information screen. The area in question was the area with the most complete facilities in the resort and of course the prices were the highest.

"Crazy. He must be really rich to have booked the whole area. How could he have paid for it all again?" Claire stared at the screen in disbelief.

Sherly nodded with a smile on her face, "Are you in charge of the welcome event?"

"Why me, ma'am? Wouldn't you do it if you had such a big client?" Claire asked in surprise.

"Just you this time, I have business outside the resort for a few days," Sherly said.

Claire sighed.

"Don't stress too much about looking like that! There's an extra bonus," Sherly said.

Claire, who was originally weak, immediately became enthusiastic.

"How much is the bonus, ma'am?"

"A salary, how about that?"

Claire's eyes widened, "Are you serious, ma'am?"

"Yes, Claire. When have I ever joked about anything like this?" the forty-two year old woman replied.

Claire smiled, "Ready then."

Shirley nodded, "Okay. Do it right, okay?"

"Okay, ma'am."

"According to the information, he will arrive in about four hours," Shirley said.

Claire got up immediately and hurriedly prepared the welcome ceremony.

Meanwhile, at the international airport, Felix looked reluctant to go to the car that was waiting for him.

"Can't you put on a face that's pleasing to the eye?" Helen said, Felix's older sister, holding her daughter in her arms.

Hearing this, Felix just put on a stiff smile.

"God, you're so scary, Felix!" Helen said, already exasperated.

Felix ignored her sister and got into his own car, while Helen got into another car.

"Sir, is there anything that makes you uncomfortable?" Andrew asked, who was still driving.

"This country," Felix replied.

Andrew grimaced and understood immediately. "That ... was several years ago, sir."

Felix looked forward, "You know, I don't like to lose, An. Not being able to find this woman is a defeat and I can't accept it."

Andrew didn't know what else to say. He understood his master's anger very well. But he had no way to help him.

"But maybe you can find another woman who is more ...."

"What's sexier? Great in bed? That's a lot. There are many in England, but this woman is different. Only with her do I feel ...." Felix didn't continue because he felt that it was useless to discuss it.

No results. So he decided to look out of the window on the way to the resort where his extended family would be vacationing.

He was actually very upset that his extended family had chosen Indonesia as their vacation spot.

However, she couldn't resist his sister's wishes and so continued to provide facilities for them.

On the other hand, Claire was very busy preparing for the welcoming ceremony at the resort.

“Uh, change those flowers, Lea! Put some fresher flowers!” Claire said.

He checked again, “Josh, put that table over there.”

“Oh, yes. Ask kitchen 2 to get ready, they'll be here in about two hours,” Claire said after glancing at her watch.

All the staff listened to Claire's orders and did as they were asked because Claire was known as an assistant manager who was quite reliable and had never disappointed a client.

“That's already okay. Now, the rest, please check again, what is still missing,” Claire said again.

“Yes, ma'am,” all the staff replied in the section of the room that would be used as the first place the British guests would gather before they would be escorted to Cleveland.

Claire started to get nervous, “Thirty more minutes, guys.”

“Already, ma'am.”

“Okay, now get ready, tidy yourselves up!” Claire commanded again.

In a hurry they split up. Claire herself also went to the bathroom and applied a little more make-up before going to the lobby. Some of her staff had dressed up neatly and were standing resolutely.

“Huh, finally,” Claire said.

“Ten more minutes,” Claire said again.

And exactly ten minutes later, the group of six cars arrived.

Claire held her breath and tried to relax her jaw muscles, putting on the friendliest smile possible for the guests her manager had told her were special.

Some of the guests began to get out of the cars and walk towards her. Claire still did not raise her face as she was still trying to shake off her nerves.

After a few steps, Claire lifted her face and smiled and said as she handed over the bouquet of flowers, “Welcome to The Himalaya Resort.”

However, as she looked at the guest's face, she froze.

This man?

Gosh, no way.

How could he be here?

Claire still vividly remembered that face even though she had only seen it with her eyes closed.

What's more, the color of the man's eyes was exactly the same as that of Sean, her son.

Claire's legs went limp. Her eyes remained glued to the strange man until they didn't blink at all.

Her brain was suddenly filled with questions that made her feel suffocated.

What exactly was he doing here?

What was his purpose in coming?

Did he know anything?

Did he know about Sean?

However, how could that be? Where would he know?

He didn't.

She wouldn't let him know about her son.

Felix himself was also very surprised to see the woman who had been haunting his dreams in that place.

He couldn't forget that face. He couldn't be wrong.

The woman standing in front of him was the same woman who had been keeping him up at night for the past few years.

Her face was always in his mind along with what they had done on that night.

“Miss, are you not going to give me that flower?” Felix asked with a piercing look.
