Chapter Eighty-Two - Inadequacies

Christian’s heart skipped a beat with excitement. He remembered how she had pushed him away the last time they were here. Her behavior had upset him so much. He had left home to go on a trip all by himself, only to return to get her. If he hadn’t returned that day, he wouldn’t have seen this change in his life. Maybe he wouldn’t have felt Skylar’s love at all! He had achieved the impossible in a matter of five months! He had made her realize her feelings for him.

Skylar got up and caught his hand, leading him inside. She knew she had taken him by surprise again, but she wanted to make him happy.

Once inside, she closed the door after her. Christian hesitated, his confidence wavering at the last moment. He was afraid he would fail her. What if she wasn’t satisfied? What if he was incapacitated? After his surgery, he wasn’t sure he could please her as well in bed as he could earlier! This was a fear that was eating him alive. It made him stop every time they made out with one another.
