“I don’t care,” Kayla said, her voice cold. “I can’t stay in a pack where the alpha is willing to do such a thing to his own son, and his mate. I’m done.”

Drake looked at Alpha Edward, his eyes filled with anger and disappointment.

Vanessa just stood there speechless.

“Kayla, we need his help!”. She said, moving over to Kayla's side.

“Only he can get Lucian’s out!”.

She hugged her, as Kayla wept on her shoulder.

“I grew up with him, Vanessa. I have seen him cry every night, blaming himself for his parents death. He had torture his mate’s parent for a crime they didn’t commit. Lucian had never for once been at peace”. She cried.

“From the moment his parents died, when Ava left him and when she found out about her parents. There was never any amount of happiness in his life. Why? All he did was come into this life!”.
