An hour later, all three of us were getting out of a cab dressed like we were going to walk on a red carpet. I had donned the lilac purple dress, its expensive soft fabric hugging my waist before flowing into a soft skirt that reached my mid-thigh. I had slipped into white sandal heels and applied minimal makeup with red lips. I looked and felt pretty. And as Summer had called me, ‘A sexy baker who’s the baddest bitch.’

Emma was still wearing her attire from before, with a short skirt and blouse, with sharper makeup. Summer had changed into one of my corsets that I never wore because I felt too shy, which looked great over her dress.

The club was located out of the city and near an abandoned road. Despite that, the crowd queuing up with sparkling clothes seemed excited, and the energy was intoxicating.

Our IDs were in hand, and, as usual, I let my friends handle talking with the intimidating guard when he checked them and flashed the light over the three of us.
