15. Misunderstanding

"Byan! Put me down!"

As they made their way to the parking lot, Kia kept screaming and struggling. But Byan, as if deaf and uncaring, continued striding confidently with Kia slung over his shoulder.

"BYAN! PU--"

Kia let out a shocked cry when suddenly Byan did put her down. He pressed her back against the side of his black Rubicon, his arms trapping her body between his own and the car.

His dark, starless eyes bored into Kia’s clear brown ones, his gaze piercing through her in a way that always made Kia freeze, as if she was hypnotized by the overpowering aura radiating from him.

"Is this what you always do, Kia? Running off to clubs and drinking when something's wrong, instead of trying to solve it rationally, hmm?"

Kia blinked three times, trying desperately to shake off the effect of Byan’s penetrating gaze and his husky voice that was making her stomach flutter.
