Unknown Pov:

Diary entry number five, there is still no word of the princess's whereabouts. Our time is running out and my men grow uneasy by the day. I've sent a small group of my men across the country to locate the princess about three days ago and still they have not been able to find her. I've found a sorcerer who will help me interpret the prophecy of the princess. We have little time to figure out how to kill her before she realizes who she, and what she is capable of. We cannot afford to lose this war to those pathetic elves. The sorcerer has agreed to meet with me two days from now, until then we wait.

Khaalida's Pov:

As he sat down on the chair, he called me forward. Placing his arms by his side leaning back he said," Tell me, princess, to what do I owe this pleasure?" Making myself comfortable in the chair, "This may sound strange but I was told that I could trust you, I have no memory of who I am, or who my parents are. I can't recall anything about me or the life I lived before today. All I ask from you is to provide me with a safe place to stay for a few nights. Medical attention, clothing, food, and water. I do apologize for burdening you all this on such short notice but I'm desperate. I have nothing but the clothes on my back and I can't guarantee that you will be repaid for your kindness right now but within due time you will be rewarded."

Throughout my entire speech, Dante hadn't said a word. As if analyzing everything I said, he didn't break eye contact. Occasionally nodding his head he patiently waited for me to finish. At first, I thought he won't believe me, I mean who would? We sat in silence for a few minutes. Crossing his legs he placed one hand on his leg," It would be an honor to help a member of the royal family, but I'm not entirely sure I believe you, you claim to have no memory further than the past 24 hours? If you are to stay here with my brother and me, you will need to be honest with me, how did you get those cuts on your shoulders princess? They look very similar to the claws of a Griffin, have you been hiding in the forest?" At this point, he leaned forward against the table with one hand holding his chin. ''If you agree, to tell the truth, I will grant your every wish."

I placed both my hands on my lap and took a deep breath, " I've been completely honest with you since the moment we met. I woke up in the forest with no memory of who I am or how I ended up in the forest to start, concerning my wounds, yes I was attacked by the Griffin but I managed to escape." Watching his every move Dante had let out a sigh, " I've known Miss Mannion for many years and trust her judgment, but don't misunderstand me princess I do believe your story but I would like to know if I can trust you. You say you don't know how you ended up in the forest but everyone who has ever step foot in that forest has never been seen again." Frowning he moved closer to the table and continued," What makes you so special to not only survive the forest but also escape the claws of a Griffen with only two injuries? You intrigue me, princess. Now let us not waste any more time, I can only imagine how tired you must be, I will leave you here for a few minutes to fetch some medical supplies to see to your wounds. If you will excuse me."

With that, he got and walked out of the room leaving the door open behind him. Slouching in the chair I looked around the room, the windows were quite small. Trying not to move my shoulders, I bent and rubbed my eyes and took a deep breath, I haven't been in this world for an entire day and I was already second-guessing my choice. I was so confident in the beginning but now I can't see what they saw in me. Letting out a breath I didn't know I was holding, Dante had come back with what looked like some herbs, alcohol, and cloth. He neatly placed everything on the desk his facial expression had changed from stern and uncertainty was now a look of worry and concern, which confused me, not knowing what to do I got up moved the chair closer to where he had packed everything, and sat back down. He looked at my shoulders and seemed to be thinking about something, "Could you perhaps remove the cloth from your wound, I don't want to hurt you." Nodding my head I slowly pulled the cloth off but the dried blood made it difficult. I'd only managed to pull a little piece before asking, "could you please some hot water in a bucket, the cloth seems to be stuck to my skin if you don't mind."

He hesitated a little before walking out of the room, once again leaving me alone. While he was out I tried the other arm which wasn't as deep and began slowly pulling the cloth. The right arm wasn't as badly cut compared to the lift so by the time Dante had returned with the bucked of hot water and another cloth I managed to reach half of the wound.

Although the cloth had come of easier a few rouge tears had managed to escape. Placing the bucket down he bent down narrowing his eyes. Wiping my tears I spoke, " The cuts on the left are a bit deeper than the ones on the right." Turning to my right shoulder I pointed and continued, " I've managed to remove half the cloth off but the rest won't budge."

Scratching his head, he turned and put the cloth in the water, once he dried the cloth a little he gently dabbed it on the cut on the right shoulder seeing that it was already half off. In an attempt to loosen the blood, he kneeled on his knees and continued to lightly tap the damp cloth. Trying my best not to make a sound as he worked, I looked out the window in search of something to distract myself. The only thing I found was one of the street lights that flickered. Growing accustomed to the burning sensation, I hadn't noticed that the had already started with my left shoulder.
