Chapter - 04

After finishing his breakfast, Ares Walker laid down on the couch and started to play with his cat. Today he didn't go to Xiao Corporation and decided to spend the time at home peacefully cause at night this mansion would turn into a hell.

In the afternoon, Ares got ready. He wore a black pant and a white t-shirts with red court. He went to the garage and took out his sports car. 30 minutes later he reached a fancy restaurant. He went inside and take a seat in a corner. He sat besides a window and started to enjoy the scenery of outside.

5 minutes later, a man who wore a red shirt and black pants come and sat besides him.

"Sorry. I am late." Said the man.

"It's okay Paul. I didn't wait long." Said Ares and smile.

The man who was Paul Jonas, Ares's close friend smile at him and said "Then I am glad."

"Mn. Then let's order something. I am hungry." Said Ares and poutedn while Paul Jonas laughed at Ares's silliness and nodded his head.

They ordered some snacks and soft drinks. While waiting they asked about each other's well-being and joked with each other. After few minutes, their orders had been placed on their table.

While eating, Paul Jonas asked "So, how is going your relationship with Wang Yibo?"

"Still same." Replied Ares and sighed.

"Did he still bring girls at night?" Asked Paul Jonas in a low tone. He didn't want to hurt his friend. He knew everything about them. One day he saw Yibo in a club with some sluts. Yibo was heavily drunk and left the club with one of the girls. When Paul Jonas told Ares about it. Ares cried and told him everything. From then on whenever Ares felt lonely or have some free time he would spend the time with Paul Jonas like today.

Ares looked up at him and smiled bitterly. "Yeah. What do you expect from him. He will come to me and say sorry."

"I really hope so." Said Paul Jonas.

"In your dream." Said Ares.

"Ares you look different today." Said Paul Jonas.

"Why do you think so?" Asked Ares.

"You look refresh." Said Paul Jonas.

"Do you want me to look dull?" Asked Ares while raising one of his eyebrows.

"I didn't mean it." Said Paul Jonas while shaking his head.

"I know. I decided to move on from Yibo. From now on I will live my life happily and he will live his life. He will do what he wants. I won't stop him and I won't feel hurt. I had hurt myself enough for him. And I don't want to get hurt more. So I will live my life happily." Said Ares.

"I am glad to hear that. But can you able to do that. I mean he is your weak point. You love him." Said Paul Jonas.

"It's in the past. Now he is my enemy." Said Ares.

"Enemy?" Paul Jonas raised his eyebrows.

"Yes. He is my enemy. He didn't let me sleep at night. But today he even dare to ruined my sleep in the morning." Said Ares.

"Huh? What do you mean?" Paul Jonas is confused.

"He ruined my sleep in the morning because today I didn't cook for him. So, I shouted at him and told that I won't cook for him anymore. He have to cook his own food. Even I didn't send him lunch today." Said Ares and punch his chest feeling proud.

Paul Jonas just stared at him for few seconds then replied "You let him starve?" Paul Jonas couldn't believe his ears.

"Mn." Said Ares while nodding his head.

"Then I am sure you can move on from Yibo." Said Paul Jonas.

"I told you I can so don't worry. Let's enjoy tonight together if you are free." Said Ares.

"No problem. I am free for you all the time, my beauty. Let's waste tonight." Then they both started laughing.

After sometime Paul Jonas asked "Yibo still didn't agree to divorce you?"

Ares signed "Yeah. He said I have stucked with him until he wants. I started the marriage and he will end it." Then he sipped his drinks.

"Why don't you tell your mom. I am sure aunty will support you." Said Ares.

"Nah. I don't want to bother her. She warned me but I didn't listen to her and agreed to the marriage. If I told her that I want divorce from Yibo. I am sure she will have a fight with my dad. Dad will never want our partnership break with Wang Corporation which will surely break if I get divorce." Said Ares.

"But you can't live with Yibo who didn't treat you as a human. It's your campany matters to you not your happiness. Don't be like your dad who can do anything which will benefit his business." Said Paul Jonas.

"I am not being like my dad. I just want peace in my family." Said Ares.

"And what about your mom? Do you think you can hide it from her forever? What will she think when she finds out you are living a miserable life with your so called husband who didn't even treat you as a human. Will she be happy? Won't she felt hurt? Can you see her being hurt because of you?" Asked Paul Jonas.

"I know I am being selfish again. I am just thinking about myself. I just don't want to be a burden on her." Said Ares.

"Since when you are a burden on me, AresAres." Said a middle age lady who was on her early fifties with an angry face.

"Mom." Ares stood up from his seat. Shock is visible on his face.

The lady was none other than Madam Crystal Walker. She was in a meeting with her clients in this restaurant. She was about to left the restaurant but halted when she saw a familiar figure. She saw her son who didn't visit her after his marriage. Ares would make excuse saying he is busy. When Ares has free time his mother would be on business trips. So she became very happy after seeing him. She apporched him. When she was about to call him. She heard something about divorce. So she decided to heard their conversation without being noticed because she knew if she interfered Ares wouldn't say her anything. She knew her son very well. If Ares wanted to tell her than he would have already told her. She felt hurt after hearing about her only child's miserable married life. But she became angry after hearing Ares's last statement. So she decided to interfere.

Ares looked at his mother and started to tremble. He never saw his mother this angry. She was was always sweet to him. But he could also see the sadness in her eyes. He felt guilty for hurting his mom. With Madam Walker's expression Ares could tell that she heard their conversation.
