Lovette POV

Tasha followed me back home. She said she wanted to spend more time away from home. According to her, she needed breathing space from her siblings.

“I’m so glad I met you, babes, you’re one of the best things to happen to me this break”, Tasha said blowing me kiss.

“The feeling is mutual” I blew her a kiss back.

“So tell me about your family, what it is like, and how it is over there”, She continued.

I wanted to confide in her. “I’m my mother’s only child and I just feel so lonely at home,” I said, tears welling in my eyes.

“I’ve always wanted to come out and feel wanted, you know? Back at home, it’s like no one understands me except my mother of course. I have just one really close friend that I talk to, that’s Connor even at that distance was kind of a barrier, so I come here to spend time with his family.”

I’m always very emotional when I talk about myself or little things that get to me

Tasha reached out and squeezed my hand. “I understand you, Lovette,” she said sof

And as if on cue, Connor came running in.“What’s going on here?” he demanded, his voice full of concern.I fell to the floor, with my body trembling and vibrating with fear. I couldn’t speak, couldn’t form a coherent thought. All I could do was lay there and try to catch my breath. As the darkness closed in around me, I blacked out, feeling a sense of relief wash over me as the world went mercifully black. My eyes fluttered open, and I strug

Lovette POVI opened my eyes and realized I must have fallen asleep while crying. It was late in the night, and Tasha was asleep on the bed. I quietly got up from the bed, careful not to wake her up and went to use the restroom.I was hungry, so I left the room and went to the fridge to look for something to eat. As I opened the fridge, I saw that there wasn’t much to choose from. I scanned the shelves, looking for something quick and easy to eat. I spotted a carton of leftover Chinese food and decided to heat it up in the microwave. As I waited for the food to heat up, I leaned against the counter and sighed deeply. I couldn’t believe I had slapped Ralph so hard on the face. How was I going to face him now? I had no idea. Any inch of likeness he has for me would have been exhausted by now.I shook my head, trying to push the thoughts out of my mind. I needed to focus on the present and finding a way to fix things between Ralph and me. But as I stood there, staring at the microwave, I

Lovette POVWhat manner of beauty was that?I did a double-take on him. He was tall and heavily built, with caramel-coloured skin and a thuggish air about him. His blue eyes stood out against his dark, shoulder-length curly hair.Damn! He was good-looking.I wanted to tap Tasha so she could also see him. But Tasha couldn't contain her excitement. She fumbled with her camera, trying to capture the perfect shot of the majestic lions lounging in the grass just a few feet away."Tasha, come here for a second," I said, trying to get her attention. But she was too focused on getting the perfect selfie with the animals in the background. She pouted her lips and struck a pose, completely oblivious to my attempts to get her attention.I sighed and shook my head. Tasha could sometimes be so self-absorbed, but I couldn't blame her. I was just as mesmerized by the beauty of the animals as she was.I found my mind drifting back to the handsome boy I had spotted earlier. I tried to focus on the bre

Lovette POV“I have a problem. I think I accidentally swapped phones with a stranger,” I groaned.Tasha looked at me in shock. “Oh no! How did that happen?”“I think I grabbed the wrong phone when I left the advanced wildlife section,” I saidTasha sat next to me, looking just as shocked as I felt. “I can’t believe this is happening,” Tasha said, shaking her head. “I never would have thought you’d actually swap phones with a total stranger.”I could see the surprise written all over Tasha’s face, and I couldn’t blame her. I couldn’t believe it either. I said my voice barely above a whisper. “I wasn’t thinking. I was just in a hurry, and I wasn’t paying attention. I never meant for this to happen.”Tasha wrapped her arms around me and held me close. “I know, love,” she said softly. “I know you didn’t mean for this to happen. But now we have to figure out a way to fix it. We can’t just sit here and do nothing.”“I know whose phone it is. I met him at the zoo” Ishowed her Mr Handsome p

Lovette POVTasha and I ordered a taxi. We were both silent for a while until Tasha talked about how we should try not to draw attention and be careful when we get there.I tried to keep my nerves at bay, but I couldn’t shake the feeling of dread that had settled in the pit of my stomach. I know I was determined to go there, but then again, the thought of venturing into such a dangerous place made my skin crawl. On the other hand, Tasha seemed calm and collected, which was ironic cause she dreaded going there in the first place. Finally, we arrived at the location. It was a run-down building in a sketchy part of town, and I could feel my heart racing as we approached. “Are you ready?” Tasha asked, holding my hands, her voice steady.I took a deep breath and nodded. We stepped out of the car and made our way to the street. I hesitated as we paid the taxi driver and stepped out onto the sidewalk. I had a sudden change of heart and grabbed onto Tasha’s arm, pulling her close.I couldn

Lovette POVI quickly jotted down the directions he had provided over the phone and headed to the warehouse with Tasha by my side. I clutched the piece of paper in my hand tightly as I navigated the roads leading to the warehouse. The warehouse loomed ahead of us, its tall metal walls and boarded-up windows making it look more like a prison than a place of business.“Finally we are at what looks like a warehouse. Are you sure this is the place?” Tasha asked, I nodded. “Yes, he gave me specific directions. He said it’s a large warehouse, and that it’s the only one in this area.”The door was locked as we approached the entrance, but he had told me there would be a key hidden under a rock nearby. Sure enough, I found the key and unlocked the door. The inside of the warehouse was dimly lit and musty. Boxes and crates were stacked high, and cobwebs hung from the ceiling. Tasha and I walked deeper into the warehouse, our footsteps echoing in the vast space.“This is creepy,” Tasha whisper

Gabriel's POVShe had left with her friend and I was driving home with my boys, there was no need to bring them but I couldn't be too sure. I toyed with the device in my hand as I could still trace her scent from it. She was such a strange girl.Lovette. Her name was stuck in my head, I had sniffed her hair so I would be able to recognize in the future, and I'm sure she doesn't want to see me again but it was fun to tease her and I hoped to see her again so I could do it more often.I finally got to my large mansion which was empty, a life I was used to living but I had something to keep me company. And that was the fact that I had transferred her data from her phone to my other phone. She had interesting things on her phone and I couldn't go through them the same day.I locked myself in my expansive room and I took off my clothes one by one, and like my men, I had a few ink here and there but it was nothing extravagant. I crashed to my bed and ruffled my black hair to go snooping thr

Gabriel POVWe all stared at Celeste with our mouths gaped open as she revealed her plan to eliminate the human population. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. It was such a terrible idea and it’s something I won’t ever be in support of. I have always liked all of Celeste's ideas, but this particular one was just too extreme.“What? Why do you all look like you just saw a ghost?” Celeste asked.“That’s because your idea doesn’t make sense,” Finn said, sighing.“I know you have always been heartless, but I didn’t know it was to the highest level. Derek said“Well, I would go with your idea, it doesn’t seem too bad. Since they plan on taking us out, let’s do it to them first”. He continued.Celeste nodded, a small smile playing on her lips. "Good," she said. "I'm glad you're on board.""No way, Derek," I interjected. "That's not how we solve problems. We can't just eliminate an entire group of people because they may be a threat to us. There has to be a better solution."Celeste look

Lovette’s POVI had noticed that Gabriel was always around Celeste. At first, I brushed it off, thinking that he was just being friendly. But as the days went by, I couldn't shake off the feeling that there was something more to it.So, I decided to ask him about it."Hey, Gabriel," I said, leaning over to him. "I've noticed that you're always around Celeste. Is there something going on between you two?"Gabriel didn't give me a direct answer. He just smiled and said, "Why do you ask?"I felt a pang of frustration. I had hoped for a straight answer. But before I could say anything, Ralph came up to me and took me away."Lovette, my love," he said, hugging me. "I've missed you. What were you and Gabriel talking about?"I hesitated for a moment but then decided to tell Ralph what was on my mind. "I was just asking Gabriel about Celeste. He's always around her, and I can't help but wonder if there's something going on between them."“I see. But don't worry about it, babe. I'm sure there'

Gabriel’s POVI was a mess. I couldn't bear to see Celeste like this. I paced back and forth in front of her room, my heart beating frantically in my chest. I couldn't focus on anything else, couldn't think of anything else. Every minute that passed felt like an eternity.Nyx had taken her inside the room to perform some healing on her. And I was waiting patiently for the outcome.Every time I passed by the door, I peeked inside, hoping to see some sign of improvement. But each time, it was the same. Celeste lying there, unmoving, while Nyx attended to her.All I could do was wait and pray. Finally, after what felt like hours, the door opened and Nyx emerged from the room, I practically ran towards her. "How is she? Is she going to be okay?" I asked, my voice shaking with fear and desperation.Nyx looked up at me, and her expression was blank. For a moment, I couldn't read her face, and then she spoke, her voice devoid of emotion. "I'm sorry, Gabriel. Celeste didn't make it. She's gon

Lovette’s POVI couldn't believe how quickly the school year had gone by. I had been leading the class, acing every test, and putting in countless hours of studying. But all of that hard work was overshadowed by the fear that had gripped our school. It had started innocently enough. A few students were absent on the first day of school, but we all assumed they were just late enrollees. But as the weeks went on, more and more students went missing. It was as if they had vanished into thin air.At first, I tried not to think too much about it. I had my studies to focus on, after all. But the fear and paranoia that was spreading throughout the school were palpable. I could see it in the eyes of my classmates, in the way they moved through the halls, constantly looking over their shoulders.I tried to rationalize it, to come up with some sort of explanation. Maybe they had all transferred to another school, or maybe they had run away from home. But deep down, I knew something was seriousl

Lovette’s POVThat evening, I spent some time with Connor and Tasha. We all sat in the backyard, under the stars, with music playing softly in the background. It was bittersweet, knowing that I was leaving the next day, but also grateful for the time we had together.Connor had prepared my favorite meal, and we all shared stories and laughed together. I knew that I would miss them dearly. As we settled into the comfortable chairs in the backyard, the warm breeze and soft music creating a peaceful atmosphere, Connor asked me how I felt about resuming senior year in high school.I took a deep breath and hesitated for a moment, not entirely sure how to express the mix of emotions I felt about returning to school. "Honestly, it's a bit overwhelming to think about. I mean, I'm excited to see my friends again and finish what I started, but at the same time, I'm nervous about the workload and the pressure of college applications."Connor nodded thoughtfully, his eyes showing understanding.
