Five years later
Ava's pov "Mommy! I want to go play in the park," my son, Aiden exclaimed, his big brown eyes pleading with me. "Mommy is busy now, sweetie. Go meet your nanny she will take you," I said as i gave him a gentle kiss on his forehead. "I want you or daddy to take me," he whined, crossing his arms and i sighed. "Aiden, we will take you to the park on Saturday okay? Just go meet your nanny," I assured him. "Promise?" He asked and I nodded. He didn't seem satisfied and I rolled my eyes. "Promise," I replied and he ran off. Kids can be so difficult and Aiden was stubborn like his father. Alex, my husband, approached me and gave me a warm kiss. "Hey babe," Alex said. I shivered at the feeling of his lips on mine. "I thought you were asleep," I said smiling up at him and he groaned. "Aiden's voice woke me up," he replied chuckling. "He is so stubborn," I complained, rolling my eyes. Alex smirked and wrapped his arms round my waist. "I want more kids running around in this house, babe," he said. "We have discussed this several times, Alex. I am not having anymore children soon," I reminded him firmly. Alex frowned as we both sat on the couch. "You still haven't let go of the past, Ava," he muttered softly. I couldn't deny because it was true. Since moving to Mexico, Alex has been nice to me. We got married based on a contract at first but he fell in love with me when I had Aiden. Alex loved my son like his own, but I struggled to reciprocate his love. I have tried to love him but something was pulling me back. Everytime i looked at Aiden, I saw Julian in him. Everything about them was the same. Alex and I had planned our revenge against Julian before we leaving America but we hadn't taken action yet. I had trained alongside Alex to be a strong woman physically. He taught me how to fight, how to use a gun and other things about mafia. I represented Alex in many mafia's meeting and earned respect from our peers. "Alex..." I called his name and saw sadness in his eyes. "What else do you want from me? Why can't you love me like i love you?" He asked, his voice laced with pain. I drew a deep breath feeling guilty. I knew i hurt Alex, but i couldn't change my feelings. "Alex, I love you," I whispered trying to assure him but he shook his head. "You don't love me, Ava. I see it in you, your heart still belongs to Julian," he said. I stood up and sat on his lap, locking eyes with him. His gaze held love and pain. I pressed my lips against his. It was a gentle kiss and he sighed, breaking the embrace. "I will fight for you, Ava," he whispered We sat together, embracing each other's warmth. "I need to go get my phone," I said when I heard my phone ring and he nodded. "Hello boss," Max, my personal assistant said. "What's up?" I asked him. "We found him, boss. The one who stole the gold worth of ten billion dollars," he replied and I smiled. "Good job. Wait for me at the house, i'm on my way," I said and ended the call. I turned to see Alex standing behind me. "Were you eavesdropping?" I teased trying to lighten up the mood. "Not at all, boss lady," he replied, grinning and I chuckled. "I have to go. The guys are waiting for me," I said and he nodded. "Don't kill the poor guy because I know you. Your hands are quick to pull the trigger," he advised, his eyes sparkling with amusement. "Okay," I nodded. I changed into a black hoodie and sweatpants. I pulled my hair into a ponytail and stared at the reflection of my self in the mirror. My experience for five years had changed me. The person standing was the new Ava. I was proud of my new self and person i had become. The strong and confident Ava. I left the house and went to the car garage. I chose the 2024 model Ferrari and drove down to the house. "Welcome boss," one of the guards greeted me with a bow. I nodded and entered. A guy was tied on the chair with blood all over him. Max has done him dirty and I liked it. "Welcome boss," Max said. I walked closer to the guy and grabbed his jaw. "Where is my gold?" I demanded in an authoritative voice. "I don't know where it is," he replied in a shaky voice. Max and I exchanged glances. "I will ask you for the very last time, young man. Where is my gold?" I asked impatiently. "I don't know where your gold is," he repeated. Anger raged in me, i grabbed my gun and cocked it. I pointed the gun to his head and he struggled to free himself. "Are you ready to talk or not?" I questioned. "Your gold is in amer.. ica. It will be sold at a mafia party ne..xt week in front of everyone," he stammered. I took a step back, signaling Max to come closer. "Waste him," I whispered to Max. "Yes boss," he answered and I walked out of the building. I heard the sound of a gun silencing the man who dared to cross me. My mind raced with thoughts of the gold and my inevitable return to America. The thought sent shivers down my spine but i knew it was necessary. I had to retrieve my stolen gold. I slid into my Ferrari and sped away from the scene. I thought about the coming mafia party where my gold will be sold to the highest bidder. I couldn't let that happen, I had to get it first. Was Julian going to be at the party? What does he look like now? I shook my head and pushed the thoughts of Julian aside and focused on the task at hand.Ava's pov "I can't let you go there alone, Ava," Alex said, his voice laced with concern when I told him I was going to find that gold. "Alex, I'm not a kid. I'm capable of taking care of myself," I said firmly and he paced around the room. "What if Julian sees you at the mafia's party huh?" He asked, his brow furrowed with worry. "He doesn't attend parties like that. Stop stressing," I said, trying to assure him. "I don't feel good about this. We should go together. I will drop everything and come with you," he insisted. "You can't do that, Alex. You have important meetings to attend. Just calm down and let me handle this," I said. "Are you sure about this? You should be the one panicking and not even me," he muttered, shaking his head. "I have nothing to worry about. Max will be with me and we are leaving tomorrow," I informed him, his eyes widened in surprise. "Why tomorrow? The party isn't until next week!" he exclaimed. "We need to gather information about
Ava's pov I walked towards a hallway, pretending i was looking for the restroom. Most of the doors were locked, one particular door was opened. "We have to check this room," I whispered to Max and he agreed. "Stay outside and signal me if anyone is coming," I ordered. I removed my heels and tiptoed into the room. There was only a dim light reflecting off a box which was on the table. I walked towards it and saw the gold inside. I sighed in relief and grabbed the box. Suddenly, I felt a hand choking my neck. I screamed loudly for Max to hear, but I got no response from him. "This room is soundproof," the person whispered into my ear. The voice sounded familiar, and I hoped it wasn't Julian. He released the pressure on my neck, and I hit him between his legs. The box was still in my hands, i didn't bother to check the person. He groaned and i quickly walked towards the door to open. The box fell from my hands when I felt the cold metal on my head. "Turn around wi
Ava's pov "Your wife?" Julain said with a mocking laugh, his eyes fixed on me with a mixture of amusement and desire. "Yes, my wife," Alex spat, his voice cold. "And I don't want to see you anywhere near her," he added. "You don't deserve to breath the same air as me, Alex. I will leave, but you know where to find me, baby girl," Julian said to me, his gaze never leaving mine. I felt a shiver run down my spine as he turned and walked away. I watched him leave, my heart racing and gasped as Alex grabbed my hand rougly. "So if I hadn't show up, you would have had sex with him, huh?" He growled, his eyes darkened in anger. "No," I managed to say, but he pushed me into the room, his hands still gripping my shoulders. "You are lying, Ava, and I hate lies," he muttered, his breath hot into my ear. I knew something bad was going to happen. Alex was a jealous maniac and he couldn't bear the thought of seeing me with someone else. "Strip!" He yelled in a d
Ava's pov "Tell Max to go with you to his house. I will join you there," Alex said and I raised a curious brow. "Do you know where he lives?" I asked him and he chuckled. "I have my ways, baby. Go and keep him busy, I will show when you need help just like I did now," he replied. I kept the gun at the edge of my sweatpants, the familiar weight brought me comfort. I covered my hair with my hoodie cap. Upon opening the door, I met with Max. "The gold is fake," I informed him and his eyes widened with shock. "What do we do? Do you know where he lives, ma'am?" He asked and i nodded. "Are you fully armed? Things could get messy," I questioned, my eyes scanning his attire. "Give me five minutes, and i will meet you in the car," he said, rushing into his room. I sighed, my stomach twisting in knots. The silence was oppressive, and I couldn't shake off the feeling of unease. I didn't know what to expect at Julian's house. Was he married to the woman I caught him with? Did he
Ava's pov "Daddy! Who is she?" Julian's child asked, her voice innocent and curious. Julian lifted her up, his eyes locking on to mine for a brief moment before he replied. "She is daddy's friend, a close friend that you will be seeing often." Max and i exchanged glances, both of us wondering what Julian meant by that. "Go upstairs and meet your nanny, daddy needs private time," he said to his child, his voice gentle. "Bye miss," the girl waved me bye and ran upstairs. Julian walked towards me, his gaze intense and piercing. "My pretty girl," he whispered, his voice low and husky. I rolled my eyes, feeling a surge of annoyance. "Don't call me that," I spat. He placed his hand on his chest, feigning hurt. "That's harsh," he muttered. "Listen, I'm here to get my gold from you, not to have small talk," I said in a firm voice. Julian chuckled and sat on the couch, crossing his legs. "You can have a seat," he offered and we sat across him, the tension palable. "I bough
Julian's povPleasure and excitement coursed through my veins as i watched Ava drive away, a smile spreading across my face. I had to restrain myself from jumping into the car and taking her right there. Her face had haunted me for years, and I regretted divorcing her. Sophia, Diamond's mother and i had issues before she gave birth to my daughter. I discovered she was a two faced spy, sent to manipulate me, and i let my desire for a male heir cloud my judgement. "Lucas! Clear of this mess!" I yelled at my right-hand man. My compound was filled with blood and bodies of the men working under me. Ava's bodyguard was strong to have taken down this men. She was more mature and sexy now, but it infuriated me that she was married to my long time rival, Alex. I would stop at nothing to make her mine again and treat her right this time.I walked upstairs to check on Diamond. Her face lit up when she saw me, and she ran towards me. "Hi daddy," she said with a smile, and my heart swelled with
Ava's pov "How can you agree to this?" I asked in disbelief. Alex sighed, "Baby, we need to get this gold from him. Let's do his bidding," he replied. "Alex, what is really going on? You were jealous yesterday for seeing us together, now you want me to spend a night with Julian," I said. "Nothing is wrong, babe. You can handle this, just get the gold and i will deal with Julian later. I love you," he kissed me, and left the room with his bag. I sat on the bed, shaking my head, my mind racing with thoughts. Was i ready to do this because of the gold? What if Julian wanted sex? Grabbing my phone, i searched for him on I*******m and sent him a DM asking where we would meet for the night. My black dress stopping midway my thighs, my hair in a messy bun and makeup on my face to make my features pop. I felt confident, like I could take on the world. I took in a deep breath, looking at myself for the last time before leaving the room for the hotel. ***** "Have a good night ma'am,"
Ava's pov"What are you doing?" I asked, my voice trembling with nervousness. Julian's eyes darkening, and he smashed his lips on mine. Everything i held fell from my hands as he pulled me closer to him, his arousal pressed into me. I felt my body betray me, becoming hot and wet, despite my mind screaming to resist. He continued kissing me even though i didn't respond to it. I tried to push him away, but he was too powerful. He kissed my neck, and i bit my tongue to avoid moaning, the sensation sending waves through me."I haven't felt like this in a long time, Ava. My body and my heart want you," he whispered into my ear, grabbing my ass and pushing me further to him.I was wet for him, and i couldn't deny the intensity of his closeness to me which was different from Alex's. Julian makes me hot and wanting more. He pushed me slowly to the bed kissing me down to my neck. "Julian," I managed to say. "Yes baby," he replied, now looking into my eyes, his gaze burning with desire."I do
Third person's povEveryone was dressed in black, the air tense and tears could be heard in every angle. Ava held Diamond tight to her chest. Diamond's heart was shattered into a million pieces. She just lost the man she had wanted to be with for a long time. Her father died right in front of her, and there was nothing she could do about it. Julian and his children were as well present at the burial ceremony. All that was on his mind was how Alex just died like that. The almighty Alex, the man who was feared by many. It made him realize that anyone could die at anytime, and life was just a gamble. Things could change in just a twinkle of an eye. He promised to do better with his life, create memories and make a good impact. The only thing that was on Ava's mind was the new responsibilities for Julian, and the burden that would come with it. She wasn't ready for all of that, but there was nothing she could do. The doctor recorded his voice when he almost died. Alex said he wanted
Ava's povAiden, and his sister had gone to bed. I was left with my husband, the private time was really needed."Baby, can you believe that guy paid a hundred million dollars just like that?" Julian said, stroking my hair. My eyes widened in shock. "Just because you agreed to be the face of his brand. I told you babe, the fame and position you have is enough for you. You don't have to be a chairman. You are okay the way you are, all we need is more higher places."He smiled, a deep genuine smile. "I don't even want to be the chairman anymore, I feel so relieved and happy right now," he said.Sighing, we kissed briefly. "Thank you so much, love. Thank you so much for your support. And, I'm very proud to call you my husband. You remain the best forever.""I'm proud to call you my wife too. We should live and enjoy life with our children now. We are complete, and there's nothing we are looking for," He muttered in his sexy voice.I chuckled, sipping my drink. "You are right about that,
Alex's povHolding Diamond's hand, I felt my heart almost burst with happiness. I was taking her to a private lounge where we would have a heart to heart conversation. She was very quiet, and I couldn't help but wonder what was going on in her mind. She looked just like me, with a touch of her mother's face. The only thing that made me worried was her outfit, it was screaming dark aura. She wore black from her head down to toes. She used to love pink and all this bright colors when she was a kid, I wondered what changed. "Let's sit here, I want to talk to you," I broke the silence, pointing to the couch. She nodded, sitting on it without protesting. I called the waiter to bring us a fruit wine without alcohol. We were both on our phones until the waiter brought the drink. "First of, I want to apologize for everything that has happened. I didn't want to leave you alone for all these years, but Julian made me go far away. I'm not putting the blame on him, but we were entangled in a
Julian's povFinally, everything has been resolved now. I bid Alex goodbye, and left for my house. I knew Ava would be so happy when I tell her everything has been sorted out. At least, we wouldn't live in fear anymore. Everyone would be free, a smile didn't leave my face all through my ride back home. Daisy welcomed me with a bright smile the moment I stepped outside my car. "Daddy, welcome back home," She said. I hugged her, handing the bag of gift I bought. "I bought you some chocolates, sweet and toys."She was very happy, and it was my joy to see my children happy. I met Diamond sitting in the living room with her boxes beside the door. "Welcome daddy," She muttered, avoiding my gaze. I sighed, walking to sit beside her. She had tears in her eyes, and my heart ached for her. I still loved her like my own, she was still my baby after all."I'm sorry dad. I know you are very angry at me for all the hurtful things i've said to you. I shouldn't have said all those things to you,
Alex's pov Jordan's eyes widened when I told her about my child that would soon become part of our small family. "I don't understand the reason why you will want back the child after so many years, Alex. This thing you are doing will destroy what we have, do you think the child wouldn't try to come in between us?" Jordan asked, raising a curious brow. I sat on the bed, removing my shirt. "Nothing can come between us, babe. I can't just stay here when I know fully well that I have a child somewhere. I want to be called a Father too," I replied, calmly. She had tears in her eyes suddenly. "You are doing all this because I failed to give you a child, Alex. All this is because I failed to be a good wife to you," she muttered, her voice shaky. Pulling her closer to me. "This is not about you, babe. We have both tried but nothing is coming forth that's why we want to go for surrogacy. Technology has made everything easier for us. I love you babe, and I don't ca
Ava's pov"You want to leave? How can you say you want to leave and go meet Alex?" I asked in disbelief. The first time she said it, I actually thought it was a joke. Diamond chuckled, shaking her head. "Why won't I want to leave? I'm tired of staying and you guys don't even want me here anymore. Let me just go, and meet my father."Julian and I exchanged glances. "Let her go meet her father, Ava. I don't want to fight anymore, and the girl wants her dad too."I was just in pure shock after Julian talked, and walked away like he didn't care. "Julian! Why are you doing this to us? You raised this girl since she was a child."He ignored me until he was out of sight. "Your husband doesn't care about me, I see no reason why you should be bothered about me," Diamond muttered, rolling her eyes. "What do you mean by he doesn't care about you? This man raised you since you were a little baby, Diamond. Why can't you appreciate him for once? All you do is make him sad and disrespect our famil
Julian's povI crossed my legs over each other, sipping my wine. Aiden just watched me with tired eyes, and I chuckled. "Daddy, I'm very tired. I need to sleep, because I'm stressed. You have to forgive me for what have done," He pleaded. Laughing, I passed him a cup of wine. It has alcohol but it was not too much and he has taken something worse than that. Aiden shook his head. "I don't want to drink, dad."I pushed the drink into his hands, and he looked away in guilt. "I know you want to drink, there's no need to pretend."He took a sip, and sighed. "I think you understand me better, dad. I promise not to repeat the same mistake again."I tapped his lap. "It's okay, Aiden. Forget about what you have done and let us move on. I have a lot of things on my mind than to think about that."His face turned calm. "Is it about the chairman position? You are the rightful person to the position, and I see no reason why the chairman shouldn't give it to you.""I think he has other plans bec
Alex's pov "We have to go, babe. I need to be at the event, and you have to accompany me too," Jordan, my wife insisted. I sighed, running my hands in my hair. Why did the event have to take place in America? I wasn't ready to face my past again. "Baby, I know you have a lot of memories there, but we need to be there. The minister invited us to this party and it will be very disrespectful to ignore," She said, trying to make me agree. I raised my hands up in surrender. "Okay babe, I have no choice than to say yes to you. We will take off tomorrow morning."She hugged me tight, wrapping her arms round my waist and gave me a kiss. "Thank you baby. I will go pack our things now."I watched her run upstairs, shaking my head. She was always excited going to the parties, and events. I loved that about my wife, she was very energetic. We got married four years ago after a lot of up and downs. I relocated to London after the issue with her brother, and I built a life for myself here. I
Ava's povThe children problems has been a sort of headache to me and my husband. We raised them with so much love, yet the only way they could repay us was by causing trouble everywhere. "Mommy, why are they not downstairs for dinner?" Daisy asked, raising a curious brow as I set the table with the chef and my kitchen assistant. I knew she was referring to her older siblings. Diamond didn't like her that much, but she was the apple of her brother's eyes. "Can you please go and call them to come have dinner? You can tell your brother alone and he will pass the information to diamond" I asked politely. She nodded happily, running upstairs to call Aiden. Getting to know that Diasy was Julian's biological child was still a shock to me. I didn't know how that happened. He was telling me about how we had something together when we were drunk one night, but I didn't even remember anything. Our marriage was filled with a lot of bliss and happiness. We got married two months after he pr
