Ava's pov
I walked towards a hallway, pretending i was looking for the restroom. Most of the doors were locked, one particular door was opened. "We have to check this room," I whispered to Max and he agreed. "Stay outside and signal me if anyone is coming," I ordered. I removed my heels and tiptoed into the room. There was only a dim light reflecting off a box which was on the table. I walked towards it and saw the gold inside. I sighed in relief and grabbed the box. Suddenly, I felt a hand choking my neck. I screamed loudly for Max to hear, but I got no response from him. "This room is soundproof," the person whispered into my ear. The voice sounded familiar, and I hoped it wasn't Julian. He released the pressure on my neck, and I hit him between his legs. The box was still in my hands, i didn't bother to check the person. He groaned and i quickly walked towards the door to open. The box fell from my hands when I felt the cold metal on my head. "Turn around with your eyes closed," he ordered, and I obeyed. I hadn't gotten the chance to look at their face. "Who the fuck are you?" He asked angrily, still familiar. I didn't say anything, and he pushed me roughly onto a bed. I opened my eyes and met the shock of my life. The person was Julian, he had changed. He looked older and stressed, like he had been through a lot. He used to be muscular but he was thinner now. His brown eyes were dull and lifeless. "Talk before I shoot you," he warned in an angry voice. My heart was racing, and I took in a deep breath. I decided to play this game my own way to escape. He could pull the trigger if he gets angry. I wanted to see the shock on his face when he saw me. I removed the mask from my face slowly, and the gun fell from his hands. His mouth was open, and his face full of shock. I quickly grabbed his gun and pointed it at him instead. "Ava, Ava. Is this really you?" He asked in disbelief I smirked at his reaction. "The one and only, Julian," I replied with a smile. " Put your hands up," I ordered him and he obeyed. I searched his pockets for any dangerous items but found none. I opened the door and called Max inside. He held the box of gold while I still held the gun to Julian's head. "How do you know how to use a gun? How did you know about this gold? What are you doing here?" He asked. "The gold belongs to me," I said and he shook his head. "The gold is mine, Ava. Don't play dangerous game with me," he warned and I smiled. He hadn't changed, he was still the same Julian i used to know. "Is that a threat?" I questioned. "Don't mess with me," he warned and tried to grab the gun from my hand. Max tried to intervene, but I told him not too. If he thinks this was the old Ava he had laid his hands on five years ago then he is wrong. As we struggled for the gun, it fell across the room. I quickly grabbed my knife from my purse and pointed it at him. "You are the one who shouldn't mess with me," I said and he stared at me. His eyes roamed all over my body and we locked eyes when he looked up. "Who is your boss?" He asked, and I chuckled. "She is our boss, dude. She is the wife of the mafia leader in Mexico," Max replied him. "You are Alex's wife?" He asked in disbelief. I didn't respond, I walked towards the door but he grabbed my arm. "You married someone who ......" He said but stopped. I raised a curious brow. "Someone who what?" I asked, and he shook his head. "Don't go away with that gold, Ava. It's mine now," he warned. "It was never yours, Julian," I said. "I will hunt you and get this gold from you" he threatened. "I will like to see you try," I muttered with a wink and walked out. Max and I left the event headed back to the hotel. When I got into my hotel room, I kept the gun and knife in the drawer. I hid in the gold in my bags of clothes. My heart was still beating heavily from the drama that happened earlier. Seeing julian again brought back all the memories we shared years ago. I felt guilty for lying to Aiden about who his biological father was. I also felt bad for hiding Julian away from his son. "He doesn't deserve to know," I muttered to myself repeatedly. A knock on the door pulled me out of my thoughts. I went to the door and my eyes widened when I saw Julian standing there. "What are you doing here? How did you even know this place?" I asked, trying to hide the shock from my voice. "I have my ways, Ava. I came here to talk to you," he replied, his eyes locked on mine. I shook my head at him. "There's nothing to talk about," I said. "You have become fiesty changed so much over the years," he whispered as he walked closer to me. I could feel his breath on my face, and my heart skipped a beat. "You still want me after everything?" He whispered, his lips close to mine. I felt my own body betraying me, and i knew i had to push him away. But before i could, i heard Alex's voice behind me. "Get your filthy hands off my wife," he growled. I felt a pang of guilt within me as I stared at the two men that was ready to kill each other.Ava's pov "Your wife?" Julain said with a mocking laugh, his eyes fixed on me with a mixture of amusement and desire. "Yes, my wife," Alex spat, his voice cold. "And I don't want to see you anywhere near her," he added. "You don't deserve to breath the same air as me, Alex. I will leave, but you know where to find me, baby girl," Julian said to me, his gaze never leaving mine. I felt a shiver run down my spine as he turned and walked away. I watched him leave, my heart racing and gasped as Alex grabbed my hand rougly. "So if I hadn't show up, you would have had sex with him, huh?" He growled, his eyes darkened in anger. "No," I managed to say, but he pushed me into the room, his hands still gripping my shoulders. "You are lying, Ava, and I hate lies," he muttered, his breath hot into my ear. I knew something bad was going to happen. Alex was a jealous maniac and he couldn't bear the thought of seeing me with someone else. "Strip!" He yelled in a d
Ava's pov "Tell Max to go with you to his house. I will join you there," Alex said and I raised a curious brow. "Do you know where he lives?" I asked him and he chuckled. "I have my ways, baby. Go and keep him busy, I will show when you need help just like I did now," he replied. I kept the gun at the edge of my sweatpants, the familiar weight brought me comfort. I covered my hair with my hoodie cap. Upon opening the door, I met with Max. "The gold is fake," I informed him and his eyes widened with shock. "What do we do? Do you know where he lives, ma'am?" He asked and i nodded. "Are you fully armed? Things could get messy," I questioned, my eyes scanning his attire. "Give me five minutes, and i will meet you in the car," he said, rushing into his room. I sighed, my stomach twisting in knots. The silence was oppressive, and I couldn't shake off the feeling of unease. I didn't know what to expect at Julian's house. Was he married to the woman I caught him with? Did he
Ava's pov "Daddy! Who is she?" Julian's child asked, her voice innocent and curious. Julian lifted her up, his eyes locking on to mine for a brief moment before he replied. "She is daddy's friend, a close friend that you will be seeing often." Max and i exchanged glances, both of us wondering what Julian meant by that. "Go upstairs and meet your nanny, daddy needs private time," he said to his child, his voice gentle. "Bye miss," the girl waved me bye and ran upstairs. Julian walked towards me, his gaze intense and piercing. "My pretty girl," he whispered, his voice low and husky. I rolled my eyes, feeling a surge of annoyance. "Don't call me that," I spat. He placed his hand on his chest, feigning hurt. "That's harsh," he muttered. "Listen, I'm here to get my gold from you, not to have small talk," I said in a firm voice. Julian chuckled and sat on the couch, crossing his legs. "You can have a seat," he offered and we sat across him, the tension palable. "I bough
Julian's povPleasure and excitement coursed through my veins as i watched Ava drive away, a smile spreading across my face. I had to restrain myself from jumping into the car and taking her right there. Her face had haunted me for years, and I regretted divorcing her. Sophia, Diamond's mother and i had issues before she gave birth to my daughter. I discovered she was a two faced spy, sent to manipulate me, and i let my desire for a male heir cloud my judgement. "Lucas! Clear of this mess!" I yelled at my right-hand man. My compound was filled with blood and bodies of the men working under me. Ava's bodyguard was strong to have taken down this men. She was more mature and sexy now, but it infuriated me that she was married to my long time rival, Alex. I would stop at nothing to make her mine again and treat her right this time.I walked upstairs to check on Diamond. Her face lit up when she saw me, and she ran towards me. "Hi daddy," she said with a smile, and my heart swelled with
Ava's pov "How can you agree to this?" I asked in disbelief. Alex sighed, "Baby, we need to get this gold from him. Let's do his bidding," he replied. "Alex, what is really going on? You were jealous yesterday for seeing us together, now you want me to spend a night with Julian," I said. "Nothing is wrong, babe. You can handle this, just get the gold and i will deal with Julian later. I love you," he kissed me, and left the room with his bag. I sat on the bed, shaking my head, my mind racing with thoughts. Was i ready to do this because of the gold? What if Julian wanted sex? Grabbing my phone, i searched for him on I*******m and sent him a DM asking where we would meet for the night. My black dress stopping midway my thighs, my hair in a messy bun and makeup on my face to make my features pop. I felt confident, like I could take on the world. I took in a deep breath, looking at myself for the last time before leaving the room for the hotel. ***** "Have a good night ma'am,"
Ava's pov"What are you doing?" I asked, my voice trembling with nervousness. Julian's eyes darkening, and he smashed his lips on mine. Everything i held fell from my hands as he pulled me closer to him, his arousal pressed into me. I felt my body betray me, becoming hot and wet, despite my mind screaming to resist. He continued kissing me even though i didn't respond to it. I tried to push him away, but he was too powerful. He kissed my neck, and i bit my tongue to avoid moaning, the sensation sending waves through me."I haven't felt like this in a long time, Ava. My body and my heart want you," he whispered into my ear, grabbing my ass and pushing me further to him.I was wet for him, and i couldn't deny the intensity of his closeness to me which was different from Alex's. Julian makes me hot and wanting more. He pushed me slowly to the bed kissing me down to my neck. "Julian," I managed to say. "Yes baby," he replied, now looking into my eyes, his gaze burning with desire."I do
Alex's pov As I slowly opened my eyes, the sound of messages from my phone pierced through my sleep. I groaned, rubbing my temples. Ava's name flashed on the screen, but I ignored her messages. My gaze shifted to the stranger beside me, and I felt disgusted. "Hey! Wake up!" I yelled giving her a rough pat on the back. She opened her eyes, yawning. "Hey babe," she said. I rolled my eyes. "Get up and leave," I said, my tone cold. Her eyes widened in shock. "Get the fuck out!" I yelled. "How can you ask me to leave just like that?" She asked, and I laughed. "You think I will want something to do with you afterward? You are nothing but a whore so get out," I spat. Tears filled her eyes as she grabbed her clothes. "Fuck you," she said. "It was nice fucking you too, bitch," I said, slamming the door shut as she stepped out. I sighed in relief and went to the bathroom to do my business. I would call Ava later once I had completed my mission here in America. Packing my
Ava's povI glared at the guy, my mind racing with thoughts. "Julian sent you here? Why? What for?" I demanded, trying to keep my voice steady."He sent me because of Alex, not because of you," he replied.I was scared. Did Julian send him to harm me or my child? I remembered him asking if I had a child. He would be furious if he discovered Aiden was his. "Max, stay with him and gather more information," I instructed. As Max nodded, I couldn't shake off the feeling of unease. I didn't feel comfortable leaving my baby alone in the house. I wondered how many men Julian had sent and where the rest of them were."Papa, come here," I said to Aiden, he climbed onto my laps, and I held him tightly. "Let's watch my favorite movie," he said. I turned on the television, the sound of PJ Masks filling the background. Max walked inside, and i raised a curious brow. He nodded. "Maria! Please come take Aiden upstairs!" I yelled loudly. Maria rushed in, carrying Aiden who was half asleep on my l
