There were a lot of things that had me feeling quite discouraged after that day. It had been a horrible day at practice and I was walking tiredly to my car, trying to get myself to think of anything positive that could take my mind off all that had just happened.

The worst part of it all was that my secret had nearly been blown that day. Kai wouldn't just quit being nosy with his inquisition into all that had been going on between me and Ellie.

He had nearly gotten me in trouble and I wasn't going to forgive him for that at all. There were just so many things about him that were beginning to piss me off with each passing moment. All of that had me wondering just how we would be able to play alongside each other in such a long season.

I felt the team would be in a really hot mess if their two-star players were at odds with each other. There was every possibility that the teamwork that was expected of us would soon turn into an all-out competition between the both of us.
