I was jerked back into consciousness by the sound of a bullet reverberating inside my head.

I blinked my eyes several times to get rid of the last vestiges of sleep. They felt gritty and I could barely keep them open before they kept closing once again. My lids were heavy and I wanted to get out of here so badly, but I couldn’t because my hand was still cuffed to the bed and the skin on my wrist was now a dark red from me struggling to break free.

Draco had left me here yesterday and since then, no one had offered me any food or water. At this point, I didn’t even care about hunger anymore, but my throat was dry and it was starting to feel like someone had shoved sand down my esophagus. And after struggling in vain the entire day, trying to find the keys to the cuffs or anything that could help me get rid of them…I had given up hope.
