(Rhio POV)
I rubbed my hand behind my neck after I finished reviewing the upcoming project of our company before the year ends. My employees did a fantastic job, and they deserve some recognition for that.
I am about to close my laptop, when a new email arrived. Subjected: HH. Those two initial bullshit letters. It was from Deo. I don’t know if he is setting up a prank or whatsoever, but I hate things to be disorganized and informal. I sighed. Surely Deo, you should have an explanation for this.
When I opened it, there's an attachment. No words were inscribed on the email. My secretary probably got lazy labeling whatever the attached file on his sent email. After all it's Christmas Eve so I didn't think it was a formal letter. It was a video file.
When I played it, it was a ten second duration video with nothing but total blackness. There wasn't even an audio. I closed my eyes in annoyance. Deo, my secretary really intended to prank me.
I grabbed my phone to call him, but before I dialed his number, my secretary's big face appeared on my laptop monitor.
“Sorry for that sir Rhio. There has to be a technical problem for sure.” I noticed right away the little red thing on his nose and the antlers on his head. “Boss! Look, I'm Rudolph!” he winked at me, but it was obvious that he was just forced to do it.
“What kind of stupidity is this Deo?” I point out to him.
“Master Rhio, this is all because of a dare by your wife. You know I can't say no to her right boss? I'd definitely lose my job if I refused her request. So boss, I know this is some crazy stuff but please don't fire me from the company.” So, it was my wife... My silly wife, Jasmin.
I smile a bit. I don't consider my time being wasted if it's her. Every minute I spend with my wife is meaningful to me. I love her. If she's the one who came up with this silliness, then I'll be willing to spend my time watching this.
“Sir Rhio.” Deo sounded nervous. “You can tell ma'am Jasmin that we did this for you. Boss! Merry Christmas!” he did a salute and took a simple bow.
It was a Christmas greeting from my employees. H.H. Happy Holidays, that what it means. They looked nervous even at the video. I just smiled at myself. And they made a dance number, but it was obvious that they weren't really that good of a dancer. At least they made an effort.
I just shook my head in simple happiness I feel. I glanced at the time on the computer. It's 10:09 pm. I closed my laptop without even finishing watching their foolishness. I got up from my seat and paced myself towards our bed.
Jasmin was soundly asleep with our son, Kevin. Surely, they're both tired after their silly games a while ago. They just asked me to wake them up before midnight. They made me their human alarm clock. These two are my happiness. Every day feels like Christmas since they came into my life. I cherish every laughter and my wife's silliness every time, because of them, I'm the happiest person in the world. I kissed Kevin on his forehead, while I gave my wife a smack kiss on her lips. When midnight comes, I'll definitely devour those lips of yours, Jasmin.
I dialed Deo’s number again. He answered it with a trembling voice and his background sounded like they were in a party.“Master Rhio.”
“Where exactly are you guys?”
“… Gu-guys?” I am being informal to my words.
“Yes Deo. Prepare the car for me and I’ll go there within ten minutes.”
“Master Rhio!” I know he was surprised.
“Don't worry, I'm not Grinch who stole Christmas. I just want to spend little time with you guys and have a good time. I don't mind if you guys are already starting to act crazy over there. And hey, don't tell them that I'm coming.”
“But Master Rhio, something might happen to you in here.”
“Don't be ridiculous. I don't think anyone would dare to do something horrible during this time of the year. Just do what I say Deo.”
“Yes Master Rhio.” then I dropped the call.
I noticed that my wife and my son kinda moved a bit. Did I wake them? I just decided to take off my robe. I walked closer to my wife’s walk-in closet. There was a sticky note on the mirror that says, NOT a business suit Rhio.
I recognized my wife's handwriting. She knows that I'll go to my employees this time. Then I gave a sincere smiled after I saw what my wife has prepared me something to wear on the table. I closed my eyes and cracked a half smile. Don't tell me that you prepared something silly again, Jasmin.
I open the box and inside of it... It was a Santa suit, in modern style. I can't refuse my wife with her simple request. So, I did wear it.
When I stepped out of the walk-in closet, I was surprised with what greeted me.
“Merry Christmas Daddy Rhio!” my wife and son both cheered. Kevin was wearing a Christmas elf's suit while my wife had her Santa's woman attire. They both looked so happy. They ran towards me with their hands holding each other. Then they hugged me. A warm tight hug.
I love them. I really do. I'm willing to do anything just to keep them in my life.
“Merry Christmas.” I whispered to them both and kissed their foreheads. Then, my wife gently kissed me on my lips. Her eyes glowed full of happiness while she stared right into my eyes.
“Tell me the truth. Did you guys fall asleep or not?” but Jasmin responded me with a tap on my shoulder.
“Of course not-.” before my wife could answer me completely, I kissed her on her lips. She blushed like a virgin who got stolen with a kiss. I touched her by the hips and pulled her closer, then whispered...
“Be prepared later Missus Claus. Santa also needs to open his present right?” then I picked Kevin up and put him on my shoulders.
“Sergeant Kevin, let's attack uncle Deo!” Jasmin had no choice but to come with us outside the room. We walked past our servants who were busy preparing for the midnight. We greeted them merry Christmas while Jasmin gave every one of them a red envelope.
“Me and Rhio would like to thank all of you for taking good care of our family, Merry Christmas everyone.” I stared at her.
“I love you so much Rhio.” I gave her a smile and kissed her cheek.
“Then the deal is sealed. I already paid you.” My wife's eyes widened and before she could even say anything, I guided her down the stairs. The car was already waiting for us.
We were about to go to my employees' location. When Jasmin told me that I was being unfair. I took a red scarf and gently put it around her neck.
“I love you so much sweetheart.”This night will surely be a beautiful night to remember.
“Mom, Dad, I want a little brother this upcoming year. That’s our deal guys.” Both of us looked at Kevin. Then we just smiled looking at each other.
“Of course, Kevin. Mom can’t escape with me tonight.”
“Rhio, stop it.” and I smile at my wife who’s having a red face. I just winked at her. “Merry Christmas, sweetheart.”

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!
(Atty. Elthon POV)It was already dusk when the call came in. The knots in my stomach eased up a little and I smiled at the Eriez who’s also been patiently waiting for a call from his subordinates.“They got Jasmin,” I announced happily.

(ATTY. ELTHON POV)I didn’t know if James’ family could really be called a family. He was a college mate to me and Eriez. Back then I was in the College of Law, he a Business Administration guy, and Eriez a medical student.Among us three, only he married. And he’s the busiest on top of it.
(Rhio POV)The sun was setting down when we went home. But before I reached my room, my father’s stopped me.“I never blamed you for your mother’s death,Rhio. Nobody wished for it to happen…so don’t blame yourself anymore.”His face was clear of all the hints of pain he has shown earlier. I stoo
(Jasmin POV)This old chapel has been my regular go-to place after my shift as a cashier at a small fast food chain. I do so to say some prayers, visit sister Ema, and offer some flowers by the altar. There was this old lady who sells wreaths, bouquets, and single roses by a wooden pushcart beside the pathway to the chapel. She’s usually prepared to close for the day when I pass by. But now that I was her
( Rhio POV)Every weight that I though got discarded at the chapel suddenly sprung back. When the gates opened, the lonesome aura of the Mansion greeted me. I wanted peace but the silence inside that cage did the reverse of healing me. It killed me more instead. The maids stood in array as they welcomed my arrival.
(Rhio POV)Eriez was in casual clothing when I met him in the company lobby. I guess he was off from work. I’m not in the mood to listen for what he’s about to say but there’s nothing I could really do about it.I can’t escape the truth anymore. The meeting was still an hour ahead so I spared some time for him.“A wake will be held for your father before the cremation,” he said passively.
(Jasmin POV)“Hasmin!” she challenged.I mentally rolled my eyes. I could have had slapped her already if she wasn’t my father’s wife. Lilibeth was already catching up to her bad ugly attitude. I stood up unwillingly, stretching my body that was still exhausted from yesterday’s work.“Alright. I’ll make her coffee.”

(LEON's POV)Master Sean has begun spawning hell to Miss Sontoria's close acquaintances. Many have lost their jobs and properties, all the while remaining ignorant of whose doing it was and why it has been done.

((LEON))"About the case against the Dentist, we pushed the slander charges to court since she has affirmed, although indirectly, that the story existed in her clinic. She was counterclaiming innocence and instead wanted to bring her assistant named Sena Sontoria in the hearing," said one of the lawyers that was handling the case.
