I woke up to a lovely morning breeze. How deep did I sleep? I felt way better than I did last night. I sat up, recollecting everything that happened between Ares and I yesterday. When did I fall asleep? I thought.

I left my room and went downstairs to the kitchen, I found mum there making soup.

“Hmm mum, that smells really good.” I said walking up behind her and planting a kiss on her cheek.

“You're up? How are you, my dear? Mom asked me smiling brightly.

“I'm alright, why did you leave yesterday? I missed you” I said, pouting, making mum laugh and pull my cheek lightly.

“I had something to do” she answered not going into details which was unlike her.

“Wait a bit, I'll get your meal ready soon” she said.

“My meal? Who is this for, then?” I asked, pointing to the soup,confused.

“Ares” she answered. My facial expression quickly changed at the sound of his name.

“He's still here? I thought he'd have gone to work by now” I said.
