Shea swallowed the lump in her throat as she stared at the dark night sky.
The cold breeze just intensified the numbness that she felt as she continued walking to nothing. She couldn’t think of anything. It was as if her mind was already blank – and simply walking out of nowhere.
She thought that after what happened to her and Denver, everything would finally turn out to be fine. She thought that they had finally settled everything. She thought he could finally do something about her fears – like go home to her at night… or even say goodbye… or just tell her thing
