"Master? Are you alright?"
Darcy bent down beside Megara who was seating on the sword. They had no option but to invoke their swords and get out of the clan as soon as possible. Once they were out of the clan then only did they breathe out.
Megara who was sitting on Darcy's sword up in the air was somewhere in a trance, worrying her disciples riding the swords around her. Her left arm was pulsing in misery but she endured it like she always did.
"Yeah, we must step down in the Yarin village and immediately depart for the sect," Megara said and looked around at her disciples. Her expressions were stern like steel and her eyes were cold as usual. The expressions on her disciple's face were somewhat looked distressed. They looked defeated.
Yarin village was located between the Linya Clan and Liberation front sect. They left their horses in the inn they paid for and immediately sat off for the Linya Clan. Now they were heading back to the village.
Megara lowered her gaze and looked down at the huge trees, their leaves were fluttering in the air just like her robe was. Her heart was heavy but her face looked cold.
"Master, your left arm. Before we sat off for the sect, please, let me see it." Ida said, she was riding her sword beside them and her worried gaze was fixated on Megara's left arm. She immediately noticed her master's Injury because she is a disciples in the healing department. The others were shocked to learn about Megara's injury. This was probably the first time their master got injured this severely.
Only if Megara said, Evandros was holding back. These kids might even not proceed to learn anymore. She also wanted to save her face because he almost bodied her. He could have easily ended all five of them but he deliberately held back.
The reason was very much apparent.
"Fix it for the time being, we don't have much time," Megara said and soon all of them landed in the Yarin village. They did not waste any time and walked into their respective inns getting freshen up for the next voyage while Ida was scanning Megara's arm in Megara's room.
"How is it?" Megara questioned, her jaw clenching and unclenching as Ida touched her swollen arm. "Master, I can fix it but you must go to the healing master Zhan," Ida said and Megara nodded. Her brows threaded in a scowl as Ida started to fix her arm with her spells for the time being.
By the time she was healing Megara's arm, her other comrades entered the room. Helice closed the door behind her as they all stood in line beside each other. "We are ready to vacate, master," Syloson said and Megara nodded.
"There is something I must show you guys," Megara said and slowly opened her right palm, on which the green shining stone was resting. All of their eyes lit up in pleasure as they eyed the stone in their master's palm.
"Nothing less expected from Master. I knew you will get it." Helice said. Her delicate hands joined together with a wide smile playing on her lips. Megara nodded and tightened her grip on the stone. Her eyes suddenly darkened upon realizing her clan can be in danger.
"Let's depart," Megara said, and once Ida was done treating her. All of them grabbed their horses and rode out of the town towards their denomination.
*******
By the time they reached their sect, the four disciples went to their chambers to rest as it was still very early in the morning as the sun was just rising while Megara on the other hand went towards the peak of the mountain where the hall was located. She wanted to hand the stone to the headmaster of the sect. Others masters must know she succeeded in her mission and did not die as soon as they woke up but that can be really harsh on the sect. Deep down she loathed most of them except Evenor. If it wasn't for the headmaster she wouldn't be here.
She is not just that kind-hearted. She holds grudges deep down and maintains her distance from those she doesn't like. They are probably the ones who talk behind her back. She is cold and speaks right to the face. She doesn't like talking behind people's backs and she knows they call her a bitter witch behind her back. It's so out of a character for a master so in her eyes only Evenor is the real master.
The huge golden entrance door of the hall was opened for her once she climbed up almost a hundred stairs. Her footsteps echoed in the hall, waking the headmaster from his slumber. He was sitting on the stage of the hall, on his respective throne.
The ceiling of the hall was engraved in gold. The pillars were tall and had dragons made out of stones rolling around the pillars. His eyes widened and he stood up from his throne once he saw Megara walking towards him.
"Blossom." He said, his pupils dilating and a wide smile spreading on his lips. "Uncle Zale," Megara said and stopped in front of the stairs. Zale is her deceased mother's brother. He is her respective uncle and had done so much for her. Even when she was being forced to go to the Linya Clan, Zale put up a lot of effort to somehow stop her from going but the rules were applied to everyone. Even though others didn't treat her well, her uncle treated her like an uncle should. He was her only family.
"Oh my, dear." He walked downstairs and immediately grabbed her hands in his. "Thank God, Thank God...Thank God thousand times. Your back." He said, a frown making its way on his happy face when he saw her bloodied collar.
"Did you overdo your magic?" He asked and she just sighed. "Stop worrying about me. Won't you ask if I brought the stones?" She asked and he narrowed his eyes at her. He was a joyful and simple-minded person. There were many times Megara guided him and he did not mind it all, instead, he followed her guide because he was aware of his simplicity.
"Who cares about those evil stones? Are you alright?" He asked, the corner of her lips twitched and she could not help but faintly smile. If it wasn't for this old man she would be lonely. Even he was lonely...the mark on his arm was now colorless as he has lost his soulmate long ago due to sickness and just a few years after that he lost his sister in a battle, his sister, Megara's mother.
But he had a son, he was a year older than Megara. He is always roaming around the world, experiencing different spells, magics, and people. He is never home. He doesn't even care about his soulmate. He is just too much into experiencing things and becoming stronger which uncle doesn't mind at all because the father and son relationship is good.
"Uncle, I failed to get all the stones," Megara said and he shook his head, his faint smile remaining on his face. "It's fine as long as your alive." He said and she shook her head. Her uncle's kind heart always surprises her but she is afraid this kind heart of his can be his downfall.
"I got one." She said and took out the stone from her small pouch. The green stone was shining in her hands. "Oh, nothing less expected from you. You did great, tremendous work." He said and Megara handed him the stone.
A worried expression made its way onto her face.
"Uncle I suggest you not tell everyone about this," Megara said and he frowned, shrugging in no seconds. "Why? Everyone should know you succeeded in your mission. You did it. No one will look down on you then."
Megara did not interrupt him and listen to him until he was done talking.
"No uncle. You should not show off. I'd say only tell about this to those masters who you trust blindly such as Master Shin." Megara said and Zale nodded in understanding.
"Your so kind-hearted," Zale said and examined the stone. "I'm just protecting my uncle's sect. I don't even know how you got this throne with this simple mind of yours, maybe because of your wood magic." Megara said and he shake his hand in front of his face.
"First you insult me then you praise me," Zale said and Megara shook her head. "I didn't praise me," Megara said and he looked at her shocked, a little dramatic too. "When will you stop insulting your old uncle? You are just like your ruthless father. Get out now, go rest. I won't tell anyone but only those who I have faith in. You can tell Evenor yourself." He said, his tone changing from dramatic to teasing one in no second.
"Uncle don't," Megara said.
"Okay, Blossom. You must go to Zhan and get yourself checked. You better take a good rest. Come back at night with your disciples. I must keep this stone somewhere secure." He said and quickly hid the stone under his wide sleeves. She nodded and walked out of the hall after that she went straight to master Zhan.
He checked her arm.
"Who healed you?" He asked and Megara stared at him blankly before answering. "My disciple, Ida." Megara said and the old man made an 'oh' face and sound.
"Hahaha, that little child is very good with her healing skills. She did a very good job." The old man said and Megara slightly smiled. He properly healed her arm and told her to not use it very harshly for two weeks. After that, she went back to her chamber.
All this time she's been feeling very heavy.. For some reason, her chest is burning. She massaged her chest as she slowly walked towards her chamber. While she was making her way there, she met Evenor.
He was walking towards her.
His eyes lit up once he saw Megara. He quickly walked up to her and stopped right in front of her.
"Blossom, your back." He said and looked at her bandaged left arm. His happy expression turned into a worried one. "You are hurt." He said and Megara looked down at her arm. "I'm fine now." She said and looked up at him. Her expression was warm and her eyes were soft. These expressions were only for him.
Only him.
"Did you get the stones?" He asked. She parted her lips to say yes but found herself being reluctant. She would have hide it from him but since Zale will tell his trustworthy man about the stone she does not have any reason to hide it from him.
"Yes, I did get one stone." She said and his eyes lit up. He was so excited he almost hugged her but..he tightly grabbed her arms. His long spiky red hair which was tied up in a ponytail was swaying in the atmosphere.
"Really? You did great. This will be a great slap on those who said you can't." He said but she shook her head. "No, keep it to yourself. Don't tell anyone about this." She said and a frown appeared on his face.
"Why not?" He asked and she sighed.
"I don't trust anyone." She said and his frown disappeared, suddenly his ears turned red as he stared at her. She trusted him....he felt like he was on cloud nine. She looked at his red ear which was almost matching his hair. She couldn't help but faintly smile. Her faint smile vanished in an instant when she felt her chest burning.
It was always her throat that burnt for a while when she overused her magic, it was never her chest. She was confused within and thought the stone that she kept within her chest had done something.
"Y-you should rest, you must be tired. Let's see each other tonight." He said and she nodded before both of them went their way. She entered her chamber and locked the door behind her. She massaged her chest and decided to take a bath.
She quickly walked towards the other door of her room and opened it. The sun's rays hit her face, almost blinding her eyes. She closed her eyes and looked down at her small pool which was surrounded by a huge mountain and trees, there was once a time she didn't put a barrier around this place but then she put a barrier once she catches a man trying to have a peek at her. That bastard had a soulmate but he was such a deviant.
When she catches him, she left him half extinct.
The words spread around the sect like wildfire but the disciples didn't bring it up much. Some of them truly respected her and some of them were just scared of her.
She ensured the barrier was around and took off her maid robe. She threw it away and walked inside the slightly cold pool. The water was till her stomach. She kept her left arm away from water and with her own help, she slowly started to roll off the cloth around her breast which looked almost like a bandage.
Once she was done unwrapping she threw the bandage away and massaged her chest from between with cold water. She finally looked down at her chest...her eyes pausing on the mark between her bosoms.
It was a fire mark.
A mark of a soulmate.
She kept staring at the mark blankly until her orbs started to throb in realization.
Nowhere.Such things as suddenly having a mark out of nowhere in your twenties were written nowhere. In no books, in no vision, nowhere. The books were scattered everywhere on the floor of Blossom's room but the answer she was looking for was nowhere. She stood up from the floor and started to pace around the room. She was anxious. She doesn't remember who she touched back then. It's impossible to suddenly have a mark. If you had a soulmate fate will naturally bond both of you within time.If she has a soulmate then she can't get with Evenor. She rubbed her temples in sheer confusion and frustration. She closed her eyes and tried to remember past occurrences. She didn't touch any man other than her disciples who were not eighteen yet....the only one she had slight skin-to-skin contact with was...Evandro's Linya. She licked her chapped lips and shook her head.Although every proof was pointing towards him she refused to believe it and kept shaking her head in denial. "Unthinkable...
The day to depart for the wedding came like lightning.Steeds and carriages were in front of the mountain's entrance. Some mounted on their horses, mostly men, and some settled down in their carriages, mostly women including the headmaster's daughter-in-law.Megara stood beside her old uncle, both of them holding onto their horse reins waiting for everyone to settle down so they can start their voyage.Out of nowhere, she felt someone gazing at her so she wandered her eyes around, her heartbeat skipped when her eyes met Evenor's. He sat on his horse ever so elegantly, looking like a true warrior. As gentle as his features were, his eyes were cold. He stared at her with a stern expression not tearing his gaze away even when he was caught by her.She felt a sudden pain in her chest. She gripped the reins tighter and lowered her eyes, turning her face away from him. She knew why he was giving her such looks and she wouldn't blame him. She has been ignoring him ever since she has been ma
"Where have you been?" Evenor stood in the foyer of the inn along with the others. As soon as she strode inside she was met by them. "I was just strolling in the market." She said and looked around at the others behind him. Her gaze went toward the females standing behind Evenor and some beside their soulmates. All of them were dressed nicely and looked beautiful. They looked delicate and fragile, the incident which just occurred a few minutes ago has her thinking about stuff she never thought about. She could not help but glance down at herself. She was rather dressed like the men here. She looked up at Evenor and found him staring at her with a frown. "Ah-uh, are you fellows proceeding somewhere?" She asked and Evenor passed her a gentle smile. "Yes, We are heading to the main hall of the sect. Since the wedding is arriving soon almost all the guests are here. Marco has arranged a gathering up there before the wedding." Evenor said and Megara slightly withered. She didn't look q
"A soulless man like me...suddenly had a soulmate mark."The room which was in eerie silence not long ago was suddenly filled with whispers. Suddenly having a soulmate at his age was not normal. Some people thought either he was lying or is exposing this after a long time. Whatever it was, most of them felt sorry for their soulmate. Everyone congratulated him despite his words which didn't make any sense.A handful even hesitantly asked who she was.Hearing this question from certain someone, Blossom could not help but scowl for a second. Some people know how to lick shoes. She pressed the cup on her lips and gulped down the liquor one after another cup. Her alcohol forbearance was very high so she wasn't scared of getting barfly. She did not raise her gaze and kept her focus on the table in front of her but her ears could not help and perk up with each whisper near her."What? Suddenly having a soulmate? What kind of nonsense is he spouting?" Evenor spoke out while taking a sip of
"Chain technique and green eyes?" He asked, almost towering over her. She abruptly stepped back, her right hand unconsciously grabbing the hilt of her sword. "Yes, is there something wrong with it?" She asked, although she appeared calm on the front, her inside was in chaos, her heart beating faster, and her mind predicting each of his upcoming attacks. But this man was truly unpredictable and kept confusing her with his words and actions. She failed to understand even a bit of him, just like back then...His eyes went down to her hand which was grabbing the hilt of her sword. The corner of his mouth twitched and he slowly raised his eyes back to look into her green orbs. They were still the same green orbs from back then but there was no light in them. He can't help but sneer within."You...when did you get out of prison?" He asked out of nowhere. Her mouth slightly parted and her pupils dilated upon hearing his question. No useless words were conveyed, he just hit right on the so
TWO DAYS LATER* THE WEDDING DAY "And then what? He died with remorse." "Huh? Did he perish? What about the vindication?""Yeah, it's just starting...later he was reincarnated." "Reincarnated? Really? Is reincarnation real? Do you believe in such things?"Are you stupid? Anything is feasible with black enchantment." Megara sighed and stared at the two youthful girls sitting in front of her. They were sitting in the inn's restaurant having tea and pastries."Reincarnation is possible with black magic but it's highly risky. You have to reincarnate the person in someone's body or you can even use your body for such activities but...such a thing never happens." Megara said calmly and took a sip of her tea. Her eyes darted toward the girl sitting in front of her."But the story I'm telling is authentic." The girl said and took a bite of her pastry before fully turning towards Blossom."He did reincarnate and is alive, he must be somewhere in this world." The girl said and Megara nodde
"I want to go." Megara said while reclining against the wall. All the masters of the Liberation Front sect and Zale were standing in the restaurant of the inn. Each one has his different views and perspectives about the plague and the evil stone. Each Sect and Clan wanted one of their trusted men to go to Shu Clan for support but deep down everyone knew it was for the stone. When Zale was assigning who to send...Blossom stepped forward. She truly didn't have any interest in the missing evil stone. She was apprehensive about her comrade, Agnes."No, I will go," Evenor said, stepping forward with his reasons. "You went last time, I will go this time." He said without looking at Megara. His persistent gaze was fixed on Zale. Megara wouldn't have stood in front of him but after knowing that Evandros was also joining in the voyage, she didn't want Evenor to go. Even back then these two did not have a good relationship."No...I will proceed." Megara said, stepping forward as well. Master
An uproar arose in the crowd by the time they reached the Shu Clan. A heavy black fog surrounded the Lineage, making it extremely hard to see beyond. On Master Azure's precautions, everyone covered their faces with a napkin and dismounted their steeds.Leaving their horses behind they moved forward and soon their figures were indulged in the black fog. The man from the Shu Clan gradually navigated everyone toward the foyer. The incense of a corpse burning overran their nostrils.Megara couldn't understand why burning the corpse was necessary, because according to her, burying them was more appropriate. The people who died in the plague are burned down into ashes and those ashes are swaying away with the wind, entering one nostril. She raised her gaze and looked at the man from the Shu Clan. He was not far away from her. "Say, brother, who was the one who suggested burning the corpse?" Megara asked in a loud voice, gaining everyone's attention. The man slightly tilted his head back to
Everyone flinched upon his unexpected entrance. The man that barged into the room had a presence so demonic, they wondered how strong he was to manage that immense power of his. Evan's eyes went on the five disciples and slightly widened. His gaze traveled to Megara and Neel who seemed fine before moving back onto the disciples. His gaze narrowed on them, making all of them flinch.Megara sensed him and slowly turned towards the door."You..." A rough whisper, no, it was almost a growl that left his lips when he slowly took a step towards them. "They...don't have any ill intention." Megara immediately blurted out calmly before he could lash out at them. Seriously, what were they even thinking before coming here? To be determined was good but Evandros could snap their neck in an instant if he wanted to.Or maybe they were bound to give him a hard time if their powers were combined."If they don't have any ill intention then what brings them to my mansion?" He asked, walking up to them
"Let.go.of.him." Megara almost growled. They weren't aware of him being mute that was why they had their hand on his mouth. The metals around her shook, if she was in her full power the metals might have pierced all of them by now. Neel's little muffling sound continued and the room had a strange eerie silence to it until she felt a familiar aura.A very familiar sense of presence around her. Her ears perked up even more and she contemplated whether to take that name or not but before her lips could part and that name could spill out of her lips, she heard it."Master." A female voice invaded her ears. Her eyes widened upon hearing that and while she was just processing little footsteps approached her and hugged her legs. She immediately ran her hand through his hair and took a breath of relief. "Are you okay?" Megara asked in a daze.Once she felt Neel bobbing his head only then did she begin to process whatever was happening around her. These people...could they be?Before she knew
*a week later*After Lenora was introduced to the clan as the first lady, she was still bound inside his personal chamber. This caused chaos in the personal chambers. Everyone questioned why she was introduced to the clan instead of Megara who they thought was the real mother of Neel.Evandros kept the leash tight enough to lower the chaos. Lenora didn't object and went along with whatever Evan had to order. His black magic prevented anyone unwanted from entering his personal chambers. He doubted Ezekiel and couldn't help but take extra precautions.Megara sat on the edge of the fountain, the sound of water and Neel's little footsteps combined together created a peaceful environment for her. A little hum left her lips. This little human with life was the only one who kept her moving with this blindness. She didn't know what she would do without him."You seem to be enjoying yourself." Megara said with a soft smile on her face, Neel's quick steps on the ground was telling her how happy
A delicious food tray was placed in front of them on the table as they sat on the cushions. The working maidens from his personal chamber eyed the couple sitting on the cushions. The woman with silver stripes stared at the table almost blankly while Evandros on the other hand kept glancing at her.Once the delicious food was settled on the table, the maidens bowed and left the room, gently closing the door behind them since Neel was sleeping on the bed."Shall I wake him up for lunch?" Megara asked and he finally snapped out of his trance of staring at her. He looked at Neel sleeping on the bed. First, the little one looked so comfortable to disturb and second because Evan wanted some alone time with her."No, he looks deep in sleep and quite comfortable. He'll eat once he wakes up." Evan said and before Megara could say something he immediately grabbed a plate and began telling her the dishes names that were served and not so surprisingly all of them were her favorite. She took a lit
"So where is the mother?" Ezekiel asked out of nowhere but Evandros came prepared. "I heard you threw your favorite concubine out. Does that mean he is not from her?" Ezekiel asked further."He is not from her but one of my favorite ones," Evan answered, not disclosing the matter of kicking her out. "So are you gonna marry her?" One of the high-ups asked and the hall fell into an eerie silence. No, he wouldn't marry her. He won't marry unless the bride is his soulmate."No, I won't," Evandros answered with authority."But isn't she the first lady already after birthing your son? Even if you don't want to marry her, she naturally takes that position." Another higher-up stated some facts that couldn't be denied. "That's true but I refuse to marry." He said and somehow everyone deep down knew why he refused to marry.According to them he still hadn't moved on from his dead mate, he never would."That's not very convincing. In our culture, we usually marry our soulmates and if we don't ha
"I was so shocked after hearing the news." Man one said, surprise still plastered on his face as he spoke. "Yeah, me too. It came out of nowhere." Man two added."But whatever it is, I'm glad that our clan finally has a new heir now." Man one said, looking towards the grand terrace of the dark mansion. After so many decades, Commoners were once again allowed to enter the territory of the mansion. They all stood on the huge ground in front of the mansion. Many were standing outside the mansion's territory as there was no space inside for them to stand. Everyone was staring up at the terrace in anticipation. The guards guarding the terrace from all the corners when a tall silhouette enters under the sun's glory. It was Ezekiel Linya back in his real form showing up in front of his people after decades.Everyone bowed, not heartedly but they had no choice but to bow. Under his command, the clan sure did grow but it also came to become one of the most dangerous clans existing on the la
His smile turned into a smirk when he realized that she was wet."Agh," Megara was completely taken aback by his actions. One hand between her legs and one in her mouth was overwhelming for her. She knew she wouldn't be able to go into this any further. Her heart was beating so fast, she could hear it beating in her ears. Tears pricked the edge of her eyes and before she knew she was lying back on the table with her legs still dangling down from the table. She grabbed his wrist and pulled his fingers out of her mouth, slightly coughing. He let her pull his hand out of her mouth. He understood it was too much for her, considering it was her first time, he couldn't be rough with her so he continued to rub her between her legs watching her whimper and squirm. His Megara was right before him, whimpering and trembling as he touched her passionately down there. He thought he would never witness such a sight but all he needed was a little courage to grab her and here it was. His dream...his
"I'm going to take you...now."Megara was taken aback by his words. She doesn't know what got into him but she definitely knew that he was at his breaking point. "N-Neel is-" Before she could complete telling him her concern, he spun her around with his hands still wrapped around her waist and gently made her sit on the edge of the table."Just relax and let me." He whispered against her ear and she felt his warm yet strong presence moving away from her. The sound of curtains moving fell on her ears. He was pulling the curtains in the middle of the room that hid the bed from the couch area. Since it was one of his harem rooms, it was made just like this. She heard his footsteps approaching and she felt herself going tense. Absurdly, she never thought about such things let alone practicing them but to think here she was sitting all tense in anticipation was a punch to her determination to not give in to him.He put his hands on either side of her lap on the table and bent down to her f
"Mmm," Megara was left utterly shocked when he kissed her. The sound of the door closing and locking had her eyes snapped open again. Her hands went to his chest, she wanted to push him but something within her restrained her hands so she just stood there, letting him devour her mouth like a deprived lover. His one hand was tangled in her hair and the other around her waist. He pulled back, a string of saliva attached between their lips as they breathed heavily. He didn't even let her breathe properly and began to plant open-mouthed kisses on her neck taking her breath away. "Ah,""You taste just as I remember." He whispered between the kisses, his hot breath and wet kisses against her neck made her legs go weak. He even remembered her taste."Mmm, fucking delicious." He groaned, licking her neck up to her jaw making her legs shake as a shudder ran down her spine. A sinful moan from her lips ignited his already unleashed beast. Her breath hitched as he spun her around and pinned her a
