It was Evandros Linya's room.
She took a sharp breath in and slightly turned her head to look at the guard behind her. She decided to use her magic on him but by the time she turned to look at him, he wasn't standing alone. There was a maid beside him and both of them were looking at her.
She was standing at a dead end.
If these people didn't go straight and took the path next to her they will immediately find out about the knocked-out maid on foot. She swallowed but her throat was dry. She can feel her palm sweating.
With no option, she slowly opened the door and walked inside. She kept her head low and swung her ponytail in front of her face, trying to hide her features as much as she can. She slowly raised her green orbs and was stunned beyond her wits by the obscene scene before her.
She snapped her gaze down at the ground and slowly walked towards the table which was placed in front of the huge window. Even the curtains weren't down. The table was surrounded by pricey and fancy candles which were enlightening the chamber.
"Pl-Please... so-mffhh.”
She heard a woman pleading on the bed as the man atop her was ruthlessly f*cking her to the point even the bed was shaking. Megara's heart was thudding in her chest...it would have been normal if it was one woman but...there were at least three women on the bed. One was knocked out, one was currently being tormented and the other was scooted into the corner waiting for her turn.
Megara licked her chapped lips and put the tray on the table. She never thought she would encounter such a shameless thing ever in her life. She was pure and did not know much about debauchery. She was never inquisitive about such things and found it extremely repulsive and shameless.
No wonder why the maid was petrified to come here.
But this woman...don't they have soulmates? What about him? Doesn't he have a soulmate? To do such a thing in a world where only one is loyal to his soulmate. If you sleep with someone else other than your soulmate, not only you but your soulmate will also feel immense distress.
She assumed none of them had a soulmate.
Does that mean Evandros Linya is born without a match too?
She slightly shook her head and immediately turned around to leave but before she left she heard Evandros grunting and cursing. He looked like an infuriated beast. He wasn't gentle at all, it was as if he was planning to kill the woman beneath him.
She didn't glance at them, the first accidental glance was enough to disgust her and shock her out of her wits. The room was filled with the smell of debauchery and the sound of flesh slapping against each other made her head dizzy so she quickly walked out of the room which was filled with the scent of sins.
She closed the door behind her and took a deep breath of relief. He didn't see her and the two people who were standing outside the door were gone too. She looked at the senseless maid lying on the cold ground and walked up to her. She grasped the woman lying on the ground and made her lean against the wall as she stood up straight and turned her head to look at the door.
Her eyes saddening and there was an anonymous sentiment within those green orbs as she eyed the gate. There was a history that only she knew. She licked her chapped lips and started to walk towards her destination without a second thought.
She was on an important mission.
There is no time to ponder something which is long gone.
She was soon standing in front of another black door in which one of the stones was kept. There was not a single soul around. Helice said there were guards guarding the stone and even a barrier. So everyone is inside the room. She took a deep breath and pushed open the door with her hands.
The clothes she was wearing were totally opposite to her personality. The way she walked, the way she looked, and the power she held were not to be taken for a 'weak woman'.
The moment she entered the room, the guards that were standing on alert, immediately drew their weapons out, and she can see different magic dancing on the guard's hands. She faintly smirked and looked around the room, ignoring the man rushing towards her.
Her eyes lingered on the green stone kept in the middle of the room, there was a visible barrier around it. Once the men were close enough to her she parted her lips.
"Stop."
And the room fell into silence.
She had the magic of pausing, she can use it at least six times a day. The magic works for only five minutes after that the person or thing can move freely like before. Since this kind of magic isn't a very great attacking weapon. this was the reason she learned the chain technique.
Once the room fall in stillness and everything halted, she slowly walked towards the barrier. The eyes of the man following her, they were in their complete senses but were unable to move.
She examined the barrier, her heart was thudding in her chest. She turned around and looked around at all the men. She decided to tightly chain them up in case it takes a lot of time to break this barrier. Once she was done chaining them up, she turned around and put her hands on the barrier, licking her dry lips as she started to mutter a 'barrier-breaking' spell with her eyes closed.
In no time, sweat started to roll down her forehead and her back was completely soaked. This barrier was wrapped in forbidden and dark spells and it was taking a lot of her stamina.
She did not step back and concentrated as much as she can. Her eyes snapped open as she heard the sound of chains behind her. She snapped her head back and saw some of the guards had already somehow managed to get out of her chain.
In case she was forgetting, the more powerful the opponent the earlier he will break free from her magic and some of them were already making their way out of the chains.
This means these guards were not just ordinary guards, they were high-level forces. She was already close enough to break the barrier, and with no other option in mind, she opened her lips again.
"Don't move."
She said and everything fall into stillness again. The guards were literally throwing daggers at her with their eyes. She turned her head back and concentrated on breaking the barrier.
By the time a crack appeared on it, she was already out of stamina. Such a tricky man Evandros is. With this stamina-sucking barrier, one was literally serving himself on the tray for the evil man to butcher him alive.
This barrier is cast by Evandros.
Once it breaks, he will be standing in front of her in no moment and now she cannot use her pausing magic as this tricky barrier sucked all of her strength.
"Come on."
She whispered under her breath and shortly the barrier cracked into pieces, as a black mist evaporated out of the window. She gasped and rushed towards the stone. Her heart was thudding in her chest and her ears were buzzing. Since she wasn't wearing her original clothes and this maid robe had no pocket she shoved the stone into her clothes between her breasts as the maid clothes were pretty tight on her, it won't loosen and fall out.
She turned around and saw guards rushing inside the room. They were shocked to see their comrades standing like statues as one of them pointed at Megara. His eyes held burning flames in them and they were slightly watery for some reason.
"Seize her." He exclaimed and the guards who just rushed in started to run toward her to seize her. She parted her lips to pause them but instead of words came out a mouthful of blood.
Her eyes slightly enlarged and without thinking much she rushed towards the window and looked down. The guards were rushing here and there, they were everywhere. She swallowed down the remaining blood in her mouth. Her throat was burning and she decided to take off to the rooftop of the mansion.
They got to know about this way earlier than her anticipations as if they are always on alert.
Without thinking much she jumped out of the window, chains that were wrapped around her wrists as bracelets in case she goes out of stamina and is no longer able to use a spell or magic, these chains around her wrists will help her. She was falling and the white maid robe she was wearing was fluttering in the air. Some guards standing down pointed out at her but before she could actually land on the ground and die, the small chain bracelet around her wrists suddenly increased in side and its ends were especially sharp.
With her remaining strength, she swung the chain in her hands and threw it up at the rooftop, the sharp end of the chain dug into the cement wall as per her guide. She could at least control the chain with her remaining strength.
Her body received a strong pause, almost breaking her back and neck. She slowly turned around and looked down at some guards who were ready to throw weapons, fire, and some other attack at her.
She swore under her breath and kept dangling there for ten good seconds. She needs to leap up right now but she has no strength. She looked down and tried to use her pausing power since she was not far away from the guards. But when she tried another mouth full of blood gushed out of her mouth. Her throat was on fire, she took out her handkerchief from the thin belt around her waist and whipped the blood away from her mouth when all of a sudden she felt the chain shaking from above.
Her eyes widened and she snapped her head up only to discover someone grabbing on the sharp end of her chain. It was no longer in the cement wall but in someone's hand. If he let go of the chain, she will die.
But he didn't. Instead of letting go of the chain, he started to pull it up with his hands at a slow pace. She was stunned by his strength. He was pulling her up as if she was a bucket. The pace was slow as if making sure her blood is drained in dread.
She went pale when all of a sudden he severely pulled the chain, and the next thing she knew she was flying in the air and then landing on the rooftop with such force, she could hear a cracking sound coming from her left arm, it was the first thing that hit the harsh ground, with his immense force and the cold ground she ended up damaging her arm.
She cussed under her breath. He swung her around and threw her on the ground as if she was not a living human being. Her eyes became watery due to the pain but she did not shed a tear.
"You dare step into my mansion and try to steal my stone."
A deep and hoarse voice drops into her ears.
Her green orbs dilated once she realized it was no guard but Evandros Linya himself. Of course, nobody will possess such strength as his, or neither they will take such action to swing her around and throw her onto the dusty ground like garbage.
Of course, only one person can do it.
She gritted her teeth together and slowly stood up. Her whole body was throbbing and her throat was on fire. They didn't even properly meet and he broke her arm already.
Her back was facing him as she stood up.
She slowly raised both of her arms, ignoring the unbearable pain in her left arm as she quickly and tightly wrapped the handkerchief around her face to conceal her features from him.
Either she is dying here or he will torture her to death.
Only if she didn't lose so much of her stamina while breaking the barrier.
She slowly turned around and looked at the man standing in front of her. He was far from her and she could barely make out his expression as his long black hair was covering half of his face due to the rustling wind. He was wearing a loose black robe and his firm pale chest was slightly exposed.
"You have guts to take what's mine...not only that, you snatched what's mine while standing on my possessions."
"Cool, isn't it?" She asked, her tone sarcastic. She knew she was dying but still it was a pretty cool thing she did right now. This was really out of her character. "Ha...You think suicide is cool?" He questioned her back. His tone was stern and hoarse. He wasn't playing around.
He did shut her up.
She slowly stepped back but as soon as she did in a blink of an eye he was standing right in front of her. Her pupils dilated and before she could react she felt his fist digging into her stomach the next thing she knew she was pinned onto the wall with his great punch.
Blood gushed out of her mouth as she fall down on her knees her hands on the ground as she tried to support herself up but couldn't. She whipped the blood with the back of her sleeve under her handkerchief and gritted her teeth in pain.
"What must be your urgency that you came here? You must be very helpless." He said as he slowly walked towards them, his cold eyes watching her supporting herself up. He was slightly amused by her. He threw her around two times and she was still standing in front of him.
She must be 'not just anyone'.
He immediately understood she was either from a sect or a clan.
She supported herself up and looked at the egoistic man walking up to her. His word shows how arrogant and evil he was. He was asking her if she was helpless to come here. It slightly angered her and in a second those two were exchanging some moves.
He was clearly powerful and due to her broken-up left arm she could barely defend herself. His martial arts were on the next level and he was nowhere going easy on her.
He didn't care if she was injured or if she was a woman. Why would he? Nobody would.
His cold fingertips touched her neck slightly as her throat was his target or taking off her mask but she quickly prevented her neck and successfully landed a kick on his stomach. He slightly stumbled back and looked up at her. She could not see his expression clearly but she could feel her scalp going numb for some reason.
All of a sudden chain thrust out from beneath the rooftop and surrounded him. They were wrapped in a black flame, the same thing that was around the barrier. It was his dark spell...the spell he used to butcher clans and sects.
She kept standing there, watching the chain as they were coming her way at the speed of lightning but before it can touch her, out of nowhere a water barrier was in front of her. It was extremely weak against the chains but still slowed its speed.
"Master."
Megara's eyes widened and she snapped her head back only to find her four students peeking out of the portal. Panic wrote on all of their faces as they eyed Evandros through the water barrier. Ida was standing in between with her hands joined together. She was shaking.
It was her water barrier.
"MASTER COME."
All of them shouted and since the portal was just behind her, she didn't think much and rushed inside the portal. Darcy grabbed her right arm and pulled her inside. Just as she stepped inside the portal, Ida removed her weak water barrier and his chains drew back, flying in the air.
Just as the portal was about to close down near Megara's face she turned to look back at Evandros and her breath hitched when she saw him right in front of her. His dark eyes looked down into her green orbs.
Green orbs...
Megara's eyes widened and the portal was closed. He saw her green eyes...he would know she is from the scarlet blossom clan.
But if he wanted he could have easily drawn all five of them out of the portal with his forbidden magic but he didn't.
Her orbs throbbed as she think about it.
Maybe he needed a reason to trample the scarlet blossom clan.
That's why he let her go.
"Master? Are you alright?" Darcy bent down beside Megara who was seating on the sword. They had no option but to invoke their swords and get out of the clan as soon as possible. Once they were out of the clan then only did they breathe out.Megara who was sitting on Darcy's sword up in the air was somewhere in a trance, worrying her disciples riding the swords around her. Her left arm was pulsing in misery but she endured it like she always did. "Yeah, we must step down in the Yarin village and immediately depart for the sect," Megara said and looked around at her disciples. Her expressions were stern like steel and her eyes were cold as usual. The expressions on her disciple's face were somewhat looked distressed. They looked defeated. Yarin village was located between the Linya Clan and Liberation front sect. They left their horses in the inn they paid for and immediately sat off for the Linya Clan. Now they were heading back to the village.Megara lowered her gaze and looked dow
Nowhere.Such things as suddenly having a mark out of nowhere in your twenties were written nowhere. In no books, in no vision, nowhere. The books were scattered everywhere on the floor of Blossom's room but the answer she was looking for was nowhere. She stood up from the floor and started to pace around the room. She was anxious. She doesn't remember who she touched back then. It's impossible to suddenly have a mark. If you had a soulmate fate will naturally bond both of you within time.If she has a soulmate then she can't get with Evenor. She rubbed her temples in sheer confusion and frustration. She closed her eyes and tried to remember past occurrences. She didn't touch any man other than her disciples who were not eighteen yet....the only one she had slight skin-to-skin contact with was...Evandro's Linya. She licked her chapped lips and shook her head.Although every proof was pointing towards him she refused to believe it and kept shaking her head in denial. "Unthinkable...
The day to depart for the wedding came like lightning.Steeds and carriages were in front of the mountain's entrance. Some mounted on their horses, mostly men, and some settled down in their carriages, mostly women including the headmaster's daughter-in-law.Megara stood beside her old uncle, both of them holding onto their horse reins waiting for everyone to settle down so they can start their voyage.Out of nowhere, she felt someone gazing at her so she wandered her eyes around, her heartbeat skipped when her eyes met Evenor's. He sat on his horse ever so elegantly, looking like a true warrior. As gentle as his features were, his eyes were cold. He stared at her with a stern expression not tearing his gaze away even when he was caught by her.She felt a sudden pain in her chest. She gripped the reins tighter and lowered her eyes, turning her face away from him. She knew why he was giving her such looks and she wouldn't blame him. She has been ignoring him ever since she has been ma
"Where have you been?" Evenor stood in the foyer of the inn along with the others. As soon as she strode inside she was met by them. "I was just strolling in the market." She said and looked around at the others behind him. Her gaze went toward the females standing behind Evenor and some beside their soulmates. All of them were dressed nicely and looked beautiful. They looked delicate and fragile, the incident which just occurred a few minutes ago has her thinking about stuff she never thought about. She could not help but glance down at herself. She was rather dressed like the men here. She looked up at Evenor and found him staring at her with a frown. "Ah-uh, are you fellows proceeding somewhere?" She asked and Evenor passed her a gentle smile. "Yes, We are heading to the main hall of the sect. Since the wedding is arriving soon almost all the guests are here. Marco has arranged a gathering up there before the wedding." Evenor said and Megara slightly withered. She didn't look q
"A soulless man like me...suddenly had a soulmate mark."The room which was in eerie silence not long ago was suddenly filled with whispers. Suddenly having a soulmate at his age was not normal. Some people thought either he was lying or is exposing this after a long time. Whatever it was, most of them felt sorry for their soulmate. Everyone congratulated him despite his words which didn't make any sense.A handful even hesitantly asked who she was.Hearing this question from certain someone, Blossom could not help but scowl for a second. Some people know how to lick shoes. She pressed the cup on her lips and gulped down the liquor one after another cup. Her alcohol forbearance was very high so she wasn't scared of getting barfly. She did not raise her gaze and kept her focus on the table in front of her but her ears could not help and perk up with each whisper near her."What? Suddenly having a soulmate? What kind of nonsense is he spouting?" Evenor spoke out while taking a sip of
"Chain technique and green eyes?" He asked, almost towering over her. She abruptly stepped back, her right hand unconsciously grabbing the hilt of her sword. "Yes, is there something wrong with it?" She asked, although she appeared calm on the front, her inside was in chaos, her heart beating faster, and her mind predicting each of his upcoming attacks. But this man was truly unpredictable and kept confusing her with his words and actions. She failed to understand even a bit of him, just like back then...His eyes went down to her hand which was grabbing the hilt of her sword. The corner of his mouth twitched and he slowly raised his eyes back to look into her green orbs. They were still the same green orbs from back then but there was no light in them. He can't help but sneer within."You...when did you get out of prison?" He asked out of nowhere. Her mouth slightly parted and her pupils dilated upon hearing his question. No useless words were conveyed, he just hit right on the so
TWO DAYS LATER* THE WEDDING DAY "And then what? He died with remorse." "Huh? Did he perish? What about the vindication?""Yeah, it's just starting...later he was reincarnated." "Reincarnated? Really? Is reincarnation real? Do you believe in such things?"Are you stupid? Anything is feasible with black enchantment." Megara sighed and stared at the two youthful girls sitting in front of her. They were sitting in the inn's restaurant having tea and pastries."Reincarnation is possible with black magic but it's highly risky. You have to reincarnate the person in someone's body or you can even use your body for such activities but...such a thing never happens." Megara said calmly and took a sip of her tea. Her eyes darted toward the girl sitting in front of her."But the story I'm telling is authentic." The girl said and took a bite of her pastry before fully turning towards Blossom."He did reincarnate and is alive, he must be somewhere in this world." The girl said and Megara nodde
"I want to go." Megara said while reclining against the wall. All the masters of the Liberation Front sect and Zale were standing in the restaurant of the inn. Each one has his different views and perspectives about the plague and the evil stone. Each Sect and Clan wanted one of their trusted men to go to Shu Clan for support but deep down everyone knew it was for the stone. When Zale was assigning who to send...Blossom stepped forward. She truly didn't have any interest in the missing evil stone. She was apprehensive about her comrade, Agnes."No, I will go," Evenor said, stepping forward with his reasons. "You went last time, I will go this time." He said without looking at Megara. His persistent gaze was fixed on Zale. Megara wouldn't have stood in front of him but after knowing that Evandros was also joining in the voyage, she didn't want Evenor to go. Even back then these two did not have a good relationship."No...I will proceed." Megara said, stepping forward as well. Master
Everyone flinched upon his unexpected entrance. The man that barged into the room had a presence so demonic, they wondered how strong he was to manage that immense power of his. Evan's eyes went on the five disciples and slightly widened. His gaze traveled to Megara and Neel who seemed fine before moving back onto the disciples. His gaze narrowed on them, making all of them flinch.Megara sensed him and slowly turned towards the door."You..." A rough whisper, no, it was almost a growl that left his lips when he slowly took a step towards them. "They...don't have any ill intention." Megara immediately blurted out calmly before he could lash out at them. Seriously, what were they even thinking before coming here? To be determined was good but Evandros could snap their neck in an instant if he wanted to.Or maybe they were bound to give him a hard time if their powers were combined."If they don't have any ill intention then what brings them to my mansion?" He asked, walking up to them
"Let.go.of.him." Megara almost growled. They weren't aware of him being mute that was why they had their hand on his mouth. The metals around her shook, if she was in her full power the metals might have pierced all of them by now. Neel's little muffling sound continued and the room had a strange eerie silence to it until she felt a familiar aura.A very familiar sense of presence around her. Her ears perked up even more and she contemplated whether to take that name or not but before her lips could part and that name could spill out of her lips, she heard it."Master." A female voice invaded her ears. Her eyes widened upon hearing that and while she was just processing little footsteps approached her and hugged her legs. She immediately ran her hand through his hair and took a breath of relief. "Are you okay?" Megara asked in a daze.Once she felt Neel bobbing his head only then did she begin to process whatever was happening around her. These people...could they be?Before she knew
*a week later*After Lenora was introduced to the clan as the first lady, she was still bound inside his personal chamber. This caused chaos in the personal chambers. Everyone questioned why she was introduced to the clan instead of Megara who they thought was the real mother of Neel.Evandros kept the leash tight enough to lower the chaos. Lenora didn't object and went along with whatever Evan had to order. His black magic prevented anyone unwanted from entering his personal chambers. He doubted Ezekiel and couldn't help but take extra precautions.Megara sat on the edge of the fountain, the sound of water and Neel's little footsteps combined together created a peaceful environment for her. A little hum left her lips. This little human with life was the only one who kept her moving with this blindness. She didn't know what she would do without him."You seem to be enjoying yourself." Megara said with a soft smile on her face, Neel's quick steps on the ground was telling her how happy
A delicious food tray was placed in front of them on the table as they sat on the cushions. The working maidens from his personal chamber eyed the couple sitting on the cushions. The woman with silver stripes stared at the table almost blankly while Evandros on the other hand kept glancing at her.Once the delicious food was settled on the table, the maidens bowed and left the room, gently closing the door behind them since Neel was sleeping on the bed."Shall I wake him up for lunch?" Megara asked and he finally snapped out of his trance of staring at her. He looked at Neel sleeping on the bed. First, the little one looked so comfortable to disturb and second because Evan wanted some alone time with her."No, he looks deep in sleep and quite comfortable. He'll eat once he wakes up." Evan said and before Megara could say something he immediately grabbed a plate and began telling her the dishes names that were served and not so surprisingly all of them were her favorite. She took a lit
"So where is the mother?" Ezekiel asked out of nowhere but Evandros came prepared. "I heard you threw your favorite concubine out. Does that mean he is not from her?" Ezekiel asked further."He is not from her but one of my favorite ones," Evan answered, not disclosing the matter of kicking her out. "So are you gonna marry her?" One of the high-ups asked and the hall fell into an eerie silence. No, he wouldn't marry her. He won't marry unless the bride is his soulmate."No, I won't," Evandros answered with authority."But isn't she the first lady already after birthing your son? Even if you don't want to marry her, she naturally takes that position." Another higher-up stated some facts that couldn't be denied. "That's true but I refuse to marry." He said and somehow everyone deep down knew why he refused to marry.According to them he still hadn't moved on from his dead mate, he never would."That's not very convincing. In our culture, we usually marry our soulmates and if we don't ha
"I was so shocked after hearing the news." Man one said, surprise still plastered on his face as he spoke. "Yeah, me too. It came out of nowhere." Man two added."But whatever it is, I'm glad that our clan finally has a new heir now." Man one said, looking towards the grand terrace of the dark mansion. After so many decades, Commoners were once again allowed to enter the territory of the mansion. They all stood on the huge ground in front of the mansion. Many were standing outside the mansion's territory as there was no space inside for them to stand. Everyone was staring up at the terrace in anticipation. The guards guarding the terrace from all the corners when a tall silhouette enters under the sun's glory. It was Ezekiel Linya back in his real form showing up in front of his people after decades.Everyone bowed, not heartedly but they had no choice but to bow. Under his command, the clan sure did grow but it also came to become one of the most dangerous clans existing on the la
His smile turned into a smirk when he realized that she was wet."Agh," Megara was completely taken aback by his actions. One hand between her legs and one in her mouth was overwhelming for her. She knew she wouldn't be able to go into this any further. Her heart was beating so fast, she could hear it beating in her ears. Tears pricked the edge of her eyes and before she knew she was lying back on the table with her legs still dangling down from the table. She grabbed his wrist and pulled his fingers out of her mouth, slightly coughing. He let her pull his hand out of her mouth. He understood it was too much for her, considering it was her first time, he couldn't be rough with her so he continued to rub her between her legs watching her whimper and squirm. His Megara was right before him, whimpering and trembling as he touched her passionately down there. He thought he would never witness such a sight but all he needed was a little courage to grab her and here it was. His dream...his
"I'm going to take you...now."Megara was taken aback by his words. She doesn't know what got into him but she definitely knew that he was at his breaking point. "N-Neel is-" Before she could complete telling him her concern, he spun her around with his hands still wrapped around her waist and gently made her sit on the edge of the table."Just relax and let me." He whispered against her ear and she felt his warm yet strong presence moving away from her. The sound of curtains moving fell on her ears. He was pulling the curtains in the middle of the room that hid the bed from the couch area. Since it was one of his harem rooms, it was made just like this. She heard his footsteps approaching and she felt herself going tense. Absurdly, she never thought about such things let alone practicing them but to think here she was sitting all tense in anticipation was a punch to her determination to not give in to him.He put his hands on either side of her lap on the table and bent down to her f
"Mmm," Megara was left utterly shocked when he kissed her. The sound of the door closing and locking had her eyes snapped open again. Her hands went to his chest, she wanted to push him but something within her restrained her hands so she just stood there, letting him devour her mouth like a deprived lover. His one hand was tangled in her hair and the other around her waist. He pulled back, a string of saliva attached between their lips as they breathed heavily. He didn't even let her breathe properly and began to plant open-mouthed kisses on her neck taking her breath away. "Ah,""You taste just as I remember." He whispered between the kisses, his hot breath and wet kisses against her neck made her legs go weak. He even remembered her taste."Mmm, fucking delicious." He groaned, licking her neck up to her jaw making her legs shake as a shudder ran down her spine. A sinful moan from her lips ignited his already unleashed beast. Her breath hitched as he spun her around and pinned her a
