Chapter 107: The Spotlight

Nyx's POV

"I know just the right thing to do. Narin, is the offer about taking care of all of our enemies like this one still valid?" I asked with a smug grin, staring straight into Penelope's eyes.

She cowered at my words but feigned she was bold with a smirk plastered on her face. Her chin was held high and her eyes were also staring directly into mine.

I could see the fear in them but her body composure said otherwise.

"I am not afraid of you" she stated with her hands on her waist, I almost laughed at how childlike her stance looked.

"No one asked you to," I told her with an evil smirk and walked closer to her. She took a small step backward and my brows rose.

"I just want to ask you questions, so stop fidgeting and hear me out. They are basic questions and so you shouldn't have a hard time answering" I smiled sweetly and folded my hands across my chest.

She eyed me from up to down, "What do you want from me?"

I poked her face like a bully would do to its prey, "Answers"
