"You want her to what?!" The King said, yelling but his old age was a hindrance to him. He coughed loudly while the servants helped him with water before dismissing them.

The other princes were as shocked as their father.

"I was expecting this though." The second prince said staring at the blind man with a disgusting look as he rubbed his jaw.

The crown prince was short of words. "What will you expect this cursed dark-hearted man to say?" He directed the question to his father.

Damon was already used to them raining insults on him. He just listened and observed with his senses.

His blindness did not affect him.

"He hasn't seen the kind of beauty that young maiden possesses." The king said in between his teeth.

The crown prince downgraded her because of her low status but true she was a refined beauty. The second prince had no interest in her since he can bed any woman of his choice.

As for Damon, although he hasn't seen the kind of beauty the so-called maiden portrays. His senses never fail him because of his inner spirit.

A normal blind man won't be able to work alone without any support.

"That girl is indeed a beautiful lass...What's that her name again?" The crown prince asked running his fingers across his hair.

"Diana!" The king scoffed.

The name played in Damon's head.

Diana!

He doesn't care about her and doesn't want to get tied into a relationship.

"I'm talking about saving this young lass from dying. As a king, I can't be biased." The old king crossed his legs elegantly before continuing to speak. "I like the kind of personality that girl holds so I don't want her to die like that."

"Why would her father agree to let her marry this cursed man?"

"Greed! I bet that girl has a man in mind. What a stupid law?"

"I wasn't the one who asked her to marry me and I didn't bring up that suggestion either," Damon spoke with so much confidence as they all knew he was referring to their father.

The old king gritted his teeth furiously.

"You bastard, what do you know?"

"A bastard? But I have you as a father, so what makes you?" Damon smirked before leaving.

"An innocent person's life is at stake!"

"Why won't she get married to me instead!?"

Meanwhile, at midnight, inside a dark unkempt room, a grey-haired man climbed up to the peak of a tower.

When the full moon arouse he howled.

Hair sprouts all over his body, what was once his normal human hands get mangled, and his skin peeled away like a banana. They are replaced with the large, hairy, dangerously clawed hands of a beast. Once the new body parts start popping out, a slimy, dog saliva-like substance oozes out along with blood from his snapping joints.

The yellow, glowing orbs of a predator radiate from his eye sockets, and the man's pupils dilate like a wolf's. You

His eyes are now stripped of all humanity and replaced with the eyes of a hunter, usually including excellent night vision.

His bones snapped into position and other things that made him non-human.

He set out to hunt down women.

His name was Chaos and he brought Chaos to the world.

No in a beast form, covered with fur, he got to the small town where a maiden lived. Peaking through her opened window, he crawled in.

The beauty of the maiden was eradicated in her full glory. The beast was stunned. His mission was to kill but he couldn't bring himself to kill her.

"Isn't she wonderful?" The beast heard a feminine voice say.

He ignored the voice and continued examining the young lass features.

"If you learn to love her, your cause might be lifted."

"Curse...I would like to remain in it than to fall in love with this fragile being." He scoffed before leaving.

The window got a slight crack.

After the hunting, he was satisfied. He returned to the dark unkept room filled with cobwebs. The room hasn't been tidied up for ages.

His body got back to normal. A naked being. He got dressed and lay on his bed. It was already dawn.

This night creature hasn't slept since he was born. His eyes have never been closed to slumber.

"Your hate will only get the better of you."

"I can't do anything about it. I'm a cursed blind soul."

"You aren't what people describe you to be. Look deep inside yourself. You should be redeemed."

"Redeemed?" He scoffed. "There's no redemption for me, for my heart is as black as coal. I'm a wolf in sheep's clothing."

"She is your only means of redemption."

"That fragile being! I'll be a curse to her existence. She deserves more."

"I'll give you some more time to figure this out."

"I'm death itself. Chaos, I don't belong to this world and I don't want to drag another person to hell with me. I'm living from my past mistakes."

"Your end is near!" The voice faded away.

The morning wasn't good for the people as most of them woke up mourning for their loved ones.

Five females were found dead. The claws of a beast were boldly attached to their neck.

"Your Majesty, five females were found dead this morning!" One of the council members announced.

The old king looked at his three sons worriedly. He didn't know how to rule his Kingdom so that the killing of females will stop.

He was old and ready to join his ancestors but with the way the death of females is going rampant, he might even join his ancestors within the blink of an eye.

"And who's the murderer?'

"The windows of each female were shattered. The murderer had sharp claws and I must say. This isn't a human doing!"

The king heaved a sigh of frustration. He volunteered to go see the bodies of the females alongside his sons.

Damon stayed behind, he wasn't of any use and couldn't see the dead bodies. He sat elegantly on his chair as his lips twitched and formed a smirk.

The daughter of the new duke wasn't spared!
