ALLISON.
I stumbled through the crowd, desperate to escape the overwhelming wave of heat that had taken over my senses. I feel so hot… so restless. The more the moon boasted its enigmatic glow in the sky, the more I felt feral. My primal instincts were slowly taking over my senses and I’m not sure if I wanted to prevent it… or embrace it.
Shit. I think like I’m gonna lose my mind any moment from now! I’ve had several heat cycles in the past but nothing was as intense as this!
Every step felt like wading through a thick, intoxicating fog of my own making. The werewolves around me had become predators, drawn by the sweet scent of my pheromones, and I was their prey.
“Hey, missy. You smell so good. Wanna spend the night with me?” a random werewolf went to me, his breath stinking of alcohol.
“Get away from me,” I replied coldly before walking past him without looking back.
I tried to push through the busy crowd, but my efforts were in vain. More werewolves tried to talk to me, all of them enticed by my pheromones. Every single werewolf seemed to be closing in on me, until suddenly, they all seemed to halt. Confused and panicked, I turned to see why.
Then, the answer to my questions stood proudly behind me; the five men from earlier, the man who offered to buy me a drink, the bartender, the nerd, and the two men I was talking to earlier… their eyes now glowing fiercely with molten gold.
Great! Now I have five alphas on my tail.
As unexpected as it was. The presence of these Alphas was so potent that it had driven the others away. Somehow, I’m thankful that they got rid of the other men who were chasing me like rabid dogs!
The dashing brunette flashed a boyish grin, casually leaning against a tree. “You’ve caused quite a stir tonight, haven’t you?”
“I’m not gonna lie, that wasn’t part of my bucket list,” I replied, trying to sound calm despite the raging feeling within my chest.
The platinum-blonde man grinned, his eyes twinkling with mischief. “Is that why you’re running away? Planning to sneak off without saying goodbye?”
“It’s hard not to when it feels like my whole body is burning up right now.”
The man with glasses leaned closer, his gaze intense. “The Howling Moon will only make your heat cycle more intense.” He paused and hooked a finger under my chin, guiding my gaze to him. “The longer this night goes, the worse your heat cycle’s going to be. We both know that there’s only one way to ease whatever you’re feeling…” he added and gave me a knowing wink.
One light touch from his finger and my whole body was on fire. I wanted more. Every part of me craved more than just a touch. I swallowed hard as I look at the five drop-dead gorgeous men around me. Their eyes scream of desire and undiluted passion as they gawk at me.
I loved the way they looked at me, the way they were making me feel like a woman. And damn, right now I’m a woman in need.
My mind raced, feeling torn. I’ve been a virgin all my life. I thought I would try and save myself until I found my mate. And yet here I am… practically trembling in anticipation because of the undeniable pull of these five incredible Alphas who are equally craving for me… hungry for me.
I want them. Oh, goddess, I’d do anything just to get a taste…
“Alright, milady. You’ve got us all here. Who’s gonna be your go-to to help with the heat tonight?” Blondie asked.
My last remaining thread of sanity snapped. The only thing I could think of was the taste of their lips and how their warm bodies would feel against mine.
My voice wavered, barely above a whisper. “Why should I choose just one when I can have all of you?”
Their eyes lit up with a mix of surprise and desire, their golden eyes grew even more intense. They moved in closer, their scents overwhelming as they pressed against me. Their scents were intoxicating. I wanted to bathe in it. The warmth of their bodies, their lips trailing hot, wet kisses along my neck, back, and cheeks, drove me to the brink.
“Ahh…” a womanly whimper escaped my lips as I felt their palms groping my breasts and snaking around my waist. One of them slid behind me and ground his steely arousal against my ass, turning me on even more.
“You know exactly what you want, so we’ll make sure you’ll have the best experience tonight.”
The last thing I remembered was the dizzying mix of pleasure and heat before everything went black.
When I woke up the next morning, I was shocked to find myself in an unfamiliar room, naked and incredibly sore all over while being sandwiched by two other naked men!
“Oh my goddess…” I mumbled in sheer horror.
On the floor were three other men, all naked as well. All of them were sleeping soundly while I was already panicking. My head hurt like hell and every inch of my body was aching!
What the hell happened last night?
I tried to close my thighs which immediately made me wince. Shit. I’m sore down there!
Panic boils in my chest as I recall some fragments of what happened last night. Did I just hook up with five Alphas?!
Looking at all the naked men around me certainly answered my question. I couldn’t remember everything about last night but one thing’s for sure, I need to get out of here before they all wake up!
I have never sneaked out of a room as fast as I did today. One of the staff from the inn gave me a knowing look as I frantically ran out of there as my life depended on it. What did I just get myself into?!
When I came back home, I knew I fucked up, to say the least. I was standing in front of the mirror, gazing at my reflection, and realizing that I looked like someone who just got laid! My hair was messy, my lips were swollen and somehow, my jaw hurt. Pinkish kiss marks dotted my neck down to my collarbones and I also noticed several bite marks on my shoulder, arms, and thighs! But most importantly… I could feel something sticky leaking down my legs. When I looked down to check, I realized what it was. It’s cum.

Two weeks later, Quinn summoned her council for an important meeting. I’m not sure what it was but I had a feeling that it was something serious. She’s not really the type to call a sudden meeting just because she’s bored.
“What’s this all about, Alpha? Why did you call us all here?” Nick asked curiously. He’s one of the sentinels of the pack and also Emily’s mate.
“I just received a report from the scouts that a certain community of humans was pillaged the other day. Lots of people died and there isn’t a single survivor.”
That sounds horrible. Who would do something like that?
“And what does it have to do with us?” Latisha demanded, raising her eyebrow. She’s one of the hunters of the pack and she always has a strong opinion about things.
Quinn heaved a sigh as she leaned on her seat. “Because there’s an ongoing speculation that the perpetrators who attacked those poor people… were actually werewolves.”
“What?!” I gasped.
It was an unwritten cardinal rule among lycans and even some other Outworlders to not attack innocent humans. We may be powerful, but we’re not monsters. Besides, we’ve been trying to conceal our existence for the past centuries, even managed to blend into human society. Attacking humans would only draw suspicions to our kind and worse… it may result in more spilling of blood on our side.
“Who would do something like this? Every werewolf pack has been living peacefully for the past decade!” Emily questioned, evidently repulsed.
“I’m afraid that the peace isn’t going to last long now. This incident has caused a lot of tension to other nearby packs in the area as well. Whoever did this wasn’t playing around. This is a disaster waiting to happen,” Quinn said grimly.
“Maybe we’re getting ahead of ourselves here? The rogues could be behind this! They always like to cause trouble around. This is exactly something that they would do, don’t you think?” Latisha argued.
“She has a point. I say we just round up all the rogues around the area and make them pay,” Gasper suggested. He’s also one of the hunters of the pack.
“It was a swift and deliberate attack. The victims didn’t even have time to process what was happening. They were attacked one by one until every last one of them died. But the weird thing is, when the human authorities arrived and conducted an investigation, they realized that there were very few corpses compared to the total number of people in the community…”
“Which means?” Nick probed.
“Which means that people have gone missing, Nick.”
“Or maybe they have escaped?” I offered.
“That’s the best case scenario but by the looks of it, these people have completely disappeared into thin air the night of the attack. It was as if they were abducted by the very perpetrators who have done this,” Quinn explained. “Rogues wouldn’t bother abducting their victims because they’re only after the resources. They’re basically land pirates. Whoever was behind this attack has a plan… and that is the scariest part because it only means that another horrible thing is bound to happen again.”
“Goddess!” Emily exclaimed.
“If they attacked those innocent humans, then there’s a big possibility that they will start attacking other nearby packs as well,” I muttered upon realization.
“That’s right, Alli. There’s a looming danger out there, folks. This is exactly how it started years ago. I’m afraid there’s going to be another war and I’m by all means, we should be prepared for it,” Quinn said firmly.
Her words took me back to the terrible things that we have experienced a decade ago. A horrible war broke out in the Outworld and many Lycans paid the price. It was during the reign of Quinn’s father, the former Alpha, and his Beta, my father. Goddess forbid if something like that would happen again.
“What’s your plan now, Alpha?” Nick inquired.
“We need to form an alliance with other powerful packs. That’s the reason why I called you all here. Today, we’re going to welcome the Alpha of the Moon Stone Pack to discuss possible cooperation,” she explained.
“Moonstone Pack? Don’t they have a reputation for having an overbearing Alpha?” Emily asked.
“I heard he’s hot tho,” Latisha giggled.
“Their Alpha is strong and so is their pack. We need their cooperation to strengthen our force,” Quinn explained.
“Alpha Quinn, the visitors from the Moonstone pack have arrived,” Lander, one of the scouts, announced.
“Perfect. Just in time.” Quinn stood up and we all followed her as we welcome the delegations from the Moonstone pack.
The huge mahogany doors swung open, and we all turned to face the visitors. My heart skipped a beat when I saw the two tall figures step into the room.
The first man, with a commanding presence and a gaze that seemed to pierce through the room, made my breath hitch. There was no mistaking it—this was one of the five alphas from the festival! The same chiseled jaw, the same neck-length brunette hair, and the same intense green eyes… shit!
“Alpha Liam Miller and his Beta, Elliott Patricks,” Quinn introduced.
As Liam’s eyes swept over the room, they landed on me. I could see a flicker of recognition in his eyes. His lips curved into a knowing smile, and I felt a shiver run down my spine.
Oh, no.
ALLISON.This can’t be happening! No, I must be dreaming. For the past two weeks, I have been trying to erase any traces of memory that I had from that night. It was supposed to be a bleep in my mind; something that I shouldn’t even talk about anymore. The Howling Night was a blur and I wanted to keep it that way. That night was as good as a fever dream to me. I was like an animal who let my inner instincts get the best of me. It was bold. It was primal… in the most humiliating way.“I thought we were late for the meeting. Glad to see that we’re just on time,” Liam said, his eyes still fixed on as he strode inside the meeting room.Oh my god.I could feel the tension thickening in the room as Quinn cleared his throat. “Everyone, this is Liam Miller. He’s here to discuss the potential alliance between our packs.”“Oh my, he looks like a total snack in person,” Latisha whispered giddily, her cheeks flushing red.My heart raced as he stepped forward, the air around him crackling with con
ALLISON.The room fell silent, the weight of his words hanging heavily in the air. I could feel my heart racing, caught between disbelief and a strange thrill. Why is my heart beating like this? Is it because of the way he looked at me? The brief brush of his fingertips against my skin? Or maybe those molten golden eyes, sparking the memories of the Howling Night?I swallowed hard as fragments of that night crashed into my mind, vivid and overwhelming…I remembered the way we’d collided in a haze of laughter and adrenaline, my body pressing against his as he pulled me closer. His lips had been warm and demanding, moving over mine with an urgency that sent shivers down my spine. His tongue whipping inside my mouth while his fingers stroke my nipples, pinching it until I moan.“Ahh!” I remember moaning when I couldn’t handle the pleasure he brings.“Damn. Your body is trembling with my touch, darling. Did I make you that horny?” his hot breath caressed my neck, chuckling as his lips fin
ALLISON.I couldn’t breathe as I watched the man bathing in the lake, his gorgeous pare of amber orbs looking at me as if I’m the only one he could see right now. His platinum hair danced in the wind, catching the sunlight like spun silver. The man looked absolutely dashing as the water dripped from his sculpted body, glistening against the golden ray of the setting sun. He looked as angelic as the last time I saw him. Holy shit. I can’t be mistaken; this was one of the guys that I slept with during the Howling Night! Is this the goddess’ way of messing with me?“I can’t believe my luck,” the man said, amusement evident in his voice. “I didn’t expect to see you here!”The man stared at me in total disbelief as if I was a walking—floating miracle in the lake! He started to approach and I gasped as lake’s surface, the only thing that was covering his body, slowly slipped out of his waist, revealing his naked glory.“Oh goddess! Can you put your freaking clothes on?!” I said, panicking.
ALLISON.The rustling grew louder, and I could barely breathe, my senses on high alert. I glanced up at Daniel, whose expression was focused, his forehead creased in deep concentration.“Stay still,” he instructed softly, his eyes never leaving the source of the noise.Cold sweats boiled on my forehead as the tension thickened in the air. Whatever was approaching, it was close—and we had no idea what it was.The rustling in the bushes grew more frantic, and just when I braced myself for something terrifying to leap out, a small white rabbit dashed out. It paused momentarily, looking back at me with curious eyes before hopping away, leaving me both stunned and a little sheepish.A rabbit?I couldn’t help but chuckle, the fear I was feeling melting away. “Goodness, it was just a rabbit, after all!” I exclaimed and pulled away from Daniel’s grasp. I felt silly for getting scared over a cute animal that almost resembled my childhood stuffed toy.I chuckled and stood up to approach the cut
ALLISON.My eyes flickered in crimson red as my sharp claws protrude from my fingers, ready to attack the unfamiliar man. But Daniel quickly grabbed my hand, stopping me. I turned to him in surprise and he gave me a calm smile.“It’s okay, Allison. I know him,” he said.“You know him?”“That’s Sam, my Beta,” Daniel explained before releasing my hand.Oh. I turned to the man again. He looked around the same age as Daniel and his aura exuded of authority and strength. Yup. That’s definitely a Beta. I let out a sigh of relief and revert back to my human form, my claws retracting and my eyes fading back to its hazel shade.“Sam!” Daniel enthusiastically called his Beta.Sam approached Daniel; his steps urgent. “Alpha, we have to get back to the pack. We need to discuss the result of the investigation,” he announced. Sam’s eyes briefly brushed over me before swiftly turning back to his Alpha.“Right. I’ll be there in a minute,” Daniel said.“No, we need you to return to the pack. Right now
ALLISON.“Cursed? Quinn, what are you talking about?” I asked in confusion.Quinn struggled to reply, her eyes fluttering as if every part of her body was ready to shut down. She opened her mouth, but no sound came out. Panic surged through me as I watched my cousin—my Alpha—reduced to this fragile state. I’ve never seen her this weak in my life, not even when we were kids! Quinn was a warrior, a fierce leader, a champion in every sense. Seeing her like this made my heart ache; it felt surreal, as if I had fallen into a nightmare from which I couldn’t wake up.“Please, Quinn… wake up. Don’t die on me like this. Quinn!” I begged as tears threatened to fall from my eyes.Just then, the bathroom door swung open, and Anna, one of the maids, rushed in, her widened in horror when she saw Quinn’s condition. “Alpha!” she exclaimed, dropping to her knees beside Quinn.Without hesitation, Anna helped Quinn to her feet, guiding her back to the bed. I watched in a daze as Anna expertly cleaned up
ALLISON.10 years ago…The night erupted in chaos as the Flower Moon Pack was plunged into a nightmarish hell. Shadows flitted across the grounds, illuminated by flickering flames, while growls and shouts echoed ominously in the air. My skin crawled in fear. Are we going to die?Quinn was tightly holding my hand as we stealthily move along the burning houses, trying to find our brothers. Sullivan burst through the fray, his face etched with urgency as he found us amidst the chaos. “Allison! Quinn!” he called.“Sullivan! What’s happening?” I asked, my heart racing.“Get back! We’re under attack! You both need to hide. Now!” he ordered. “But how about you? Your arm is bleeding!” I exclaimed din panic. Sullivan was a strong man, he was even dubbed as the “untouchable warrior”. The fact that he has an injured arm right now meant that the enemies were far more dangerous than we thought.“Don’t think about me, Alli. You have to take Quinn and hide. More enemies are bound to come. You two n
ALLISON.When I was younger, I recalled my father asking me to what lengths I was willing to go to save the people that I love. I thought it was a very obvious question with a very obvious answer. I remember saying…“I would die for the people I love,” I boldly declared, equaling the challenge in my father’s gaze. I was merely seven years old at that time, a pup, and the youngest of the Young family. My older brother, Sullivan, chuckled at my answer, his gaze locked on the river as he patiently waited for a fish to take the bait. Dad took us fishing that day, but I found myself more captivated by the colorful rocks scattered along the river and the fragrant blanket of grass spread out across the clearing.“Die for love? Yeah, right. You’d probably just run off and chase butterflies instead,” Sullivan teased.“Shut up, Sully!” I laughed, skipping over to him. The grass felt cool beneath my bare feet, and the sun warmed my back. I twirled in a circle, my hair flying out behind me like a
RIVER.The third stop was the supermarket. The endless aisles felt like a maze designed to frustrate the shit out of me. I wasn’t used to doing groceries. We roamed around the huge supermarket but we couldn’t find the aisle with baby products in it. At some point, we’ve come to the women’s section where we found some sanitary napkins. This was more frustrating than I thought.“I think we’re lost,” Wesley said while looking around the nearby aisles with canned goods.“Let’s try the aisle on the left,” Liam suggested, leading us straight into the pasta section.“You might be a genius, Miller.” I crossed my arms, staring at the rows of spaghetti and penne. “Are we looking for diapers or ingredients for a damn pesto?”“You’re one to talk. You mistook a sanitary pad for an infant diaper,” Liam shot back.Fucker.“You’re all useless. Let’s try over there,” Mason groaned.Eventually, we found the right aisle and loaded up on diapers, wipes, and baby soap. Liam and I raced to the cashier, but
RIVER.“They’re all wonderful.” Daniel nodded in approval.“Awesome! So, what clothes did catch your attention?” the lady asked.“Everything.” Wesley crossed his arms. “We’ll take them all.”Her eyes widened. “All of them?”Wesley nodded and reached for his card, only for the rest of us to do the same. Fuck.“Woah—I, uh…”The poor woman looked utterly flustered as five black cards were thrust at her.“Put your disgusting cards away. I’ll pay,” I said in a sharp voice.“How about you burn yours? Wouldn’t want it to get declined,” Mason retorted. This bastard…“We’re in Colorado, it’s my turf. I’ll pay,” Daniel insisted, waving his card towards the poor lady.“Don’t act like you’re the prince of this state, Angel. The sales lady will get my damn card,” Liam argued, frowning.“Keep it up, guys. I have ten more of this,” Wesley said boredly. These goddamn idiots, I swear…The sales lady looked torn. She chewed on her lips while glancing at each of our cards demanding to get a swipe at the
RIVER.The first few hours after the baby was born were chaotic, to say the least. Allison’s vitals stabilized, but she was still in a magic-induced coma. While Quinn, Emily, and the three idiots were down in the nursery, cooing over the baby, I chose to stay back and check on Allison. Someone had to keep watch over Allison. Wesley was busy doing another round of checkups on her.I sat by her bedside, holding her hand. It felt small, fragile in mine, very different from her usual fiery strength. I missed the sound of her voice, her feisty attitude, the usual scowl on her face. Fuck, I missed her so much. My thumb brushed over her knuckles, and I pressed a kiss to her hand. Please wake up, Allison. Please be okay. The baby needs you. I need you.Wesley’s hand clapped my shoulder, jolting me out of my thoughts. "She’ll pull through, River," he said. His voice was calm, but there was a quiet reassurance to it that somehow made me believe him. Maybe because he was doctor or maybe because
DANIEL.“You’re not holding her right,” I chided him, carefully supporting the baby’s neck with my hand since River couldn’t hold a baby to save his life.River adjusted his grip awkwardly. “Hey, I’m trying, man. Stop nagging me.”His voice was a little too loud, and the baby let out a startled cry.“Great job, Perez,” Liam growled from the corner and stepped forward. “You’ve got a talent for making babies cry. Hand her over to me before you scar her for life.”River shot Liam a glare but he was already panicking because of the baby’s incessant cries so he reluctantly handed the baby over. To everyone’s surprise, her cries stopped almost immediately as Liam cradled her with surprising ease.“Shh, don’t worry, little one, it’s okay. I’m here.” Liam murmured; his deep voice soft. The baby hiccupped once but didn’t cry again, her tiny fists clutching at the air. Liam smiled faintly, the corners of his mouth twitching as he brought one of her hands close to his lips and kissed it lightly.
DANIEL.I thought it would be a quick recovery for Allison, or maybe at least a few weeks would be enough to get her all patched up but I was wrong.Eight months had passed and Allison still hadn’t woken up. Her belly had grown with the baby, but her heartbeat remained weak. She looked peaceful, but it wasn’t enough.Quinn held her hand, her face etched with worry. “What’s the plan now?”Quinn and Emily were here today. After settling the aftermath of the vampire attack in their pack, they would visit Allison in Colorado to check on her. I would also do the same thing. I would go back to Chicago for three days to tie up some loose ends in my pack before staying here to check on Allison for four days. That has been my routine for the past eight months and the other Alphas pretty much had the same routine too.I still hated the fact that I would get to see their faces every time I visit Allison. But I didn’t have the energy to fuck with them when all I could think about was Allison’s fu
RIVER.I’ve seen this scene before. How life slowly faded in the eyes of the woman who meant so much to me.“Allison!” I called her name as I struggled to dive deep into the river, catching her in my arms before she sunk even further. Her body felt so cold, like a bucket of ice, devoid of the warmth of life. No, it shouldn’t be like this. My fingers trembled as I stroked her face pale. She should be warm, alive. Not like this.“River, we need to get her to the bank. Let’s go!” Wesley’s voice snapped me back to reality. We waded through the freezing water, my arms wrapped around Allison’s body as I pulled her with me.The icy river bit at my skin, but I didn’t care. My arms were wrapped tightly around Allison’s limp body. Wesley’s voice was distant, almost drowned out by the pounding in my ears, but I forced myself to focus.“Get her to the bank, River!” he urged as he swam through the freezing water along with Mason and the remaining survivors from our men.The cold water slowed my mo
ALLISON.“Start the fucking jet. Now!” River yelled at the pilot to take off.Wesley took my hand and stroked my knuckles. He was so tensed as he glanced at the window too, checking the vampires outside. As the jet ascended, I thought we were safe, until I heard the metallic screech of vampires tearing into the fuselage.“Fuck!” Mason exclaimed. The fight wasn’t over. The sound of metal shrieking made my blood run cold. They were tearing into the jet!"They’re on the jet!" Hudson’s shout rang through the cabin.I turned in my seat just in time to see the flash of claws ripping through the fuselage. Ten vampires clung to the outside of the plane, their glowing red eyes glaring at us through the gaping tear in the metal."Bloody parasites," River growled, his voice dripping with venom. He yanked a silver crucifix from his belt, the edges were sharp, almost like a dagger. A crucifix was one of a vampire’s fatal weakness. He twisted it in his hand like he couldn’t wait to put it to use. H
ALLISON.But just when I thought that we would be doomed tonight, the white car who has been tailing them earlier pulled over. Four more of Wesley’s men poured out. Now, there was seven of us. The odds were looking better. The vampire ringleader didn’t look impressed. He let out a humorless laugh while gazing to our lot.“Oh, come on, bringing a couple of spare men to fight us? How predictable. I guess the Morgans aren’t shit, after all,” he mocked. As he stepped closer, I could see him clearly now. He stood tall and lean, his long, bleach-blonde hair cascading over his shoulders. His face was sharp, with a chiseled jaw and a devious grin that was dripping with pure wickedness.“You’ll be shitting on your grave once I’m done with you,” Wesley growled. The ringleader shook his head. He looked almost bored.“Hand that girl over, come on. I’ll give you a treat if you act like good boys,” he taunted. That only made Wesley snap. He shifted into his wolf form and I was at awe at his appeara
“Wesley… there’s still something you’re not telling me.” I gritted my teeth and narrowed my eyes at him.He took a careful breath. “They’re coming back, Allison. Daniel spotted the masked attackers a few miles away from your pack. He had some of his men with him that time, so they were able to stop them before advancing to your pack.”That must be the reason why Wesley has been acting tensed since morning and the thing about Daniel…“Is Daniel okay? Did he got hurt? Injured?” I asked, worried.“Daniel’s fine. He got off with minimal injuries and even managed to capture some of those masked attackers.”“Then why are we running?”There was still something he wasn’t telling me. I could feel it.Wesley’s jaw tightened. Then, he blew a heavy breath and gave up.“Because it’s not just them. Daniel found out during interrogation that there are… other organizations involved. They’re targeting you.”“Why?” My stomach churned.Quinn has also suspected this much but until now, I still didn’t kno
