Author's Pov'

The whole place was turning into a pool of blood since everyone was getting killed in a mafia war. Suddenly, a big blast of sound echoed over the whole place, making everyone flinch and stiffen in their place.

"fuck someone is trying to mess up with the bomb on the rooftop."

A devilishly handsome man with deep blue eyes like the ocean. A muscularly built body of 6'5 in height said while shooting his last enemy, who was now lying on his back with a loud thud. The man was about to leave the bloody place to clear his leftover enemies who were on the rooftop, but someone stopped him.

"Vincenzo, I'll check the rooftop. We need you here since more rivals will be here at any moment."

Jackson said with his one hand holding a gun while the other had a dagger. He was one of Vincent's close friends.Jackson and Vincenzo had started their training at a young age, as they were both mafia heirs. Well, not both, but yes, Vincenzo is a mafia heir and Jackson's father was Vincenzo's father's right-hand man, so in the process of following this tradition in the mafia world, Jackson had to take this path in order to follow this tradition. He went through this tough training and didn't have any problem with it as Vincenzo was his childhood best friend.Vincenzo nodded his head in approval and Jackson left for his hunting.

Vincenzo turned his head but saw a man who was about to stab him with a dagger in his hand.Vincenzo was fast enough to grasp his wrist and with that, he stabbed him in the stomach using that man's own dagger, who was now coughing blood through his mouth with eyes rolling Vincenzo again stabbed him using that boodly dagger in his chest making him dead on the spot. The man fell on the ground.Vincenzo looked at his other partner after killing that man and his eyes widened when he saw someone pointing the gun at his partner who was fighting while using his skilled hand. The man was ready to pull the trigger.

"Lorenzo! Watch out!"

Vincenzo quickly ran towards him and shot his rival, enemy, but was late as that man had already pulled the trigger and shot Vincenzo instead of Lorenzo, while Lorenzo turned towards him after stabbing the other one, but his eyes widened when he saw the scene infront of him.Vincenzo was about to fall on the ground but Lorenzo hurriedly held him by wrapping his hands around his stomach to stop it from bleeding where he got shot with the bullet.Blood was dripping through his stomach constantly while he was graining in agony.

"Vincenzo, we have to take you to the hospital as soon as possible."

Vincenzo shook his head in denial and pushed Lorenzo while trying to stand on his feet by himself.Mafia training is damned hard, and not to mention his stubbornness. If he wants something, then he'll go to any depth if it means to make that thing his, whether its legal or illegal doesn't matter his principal comes before and his one and only principal is to have anything he desired, he wants.

"I'm fine.No need to--"

He fell on the ground before he could complete his sentence.

'Elena's Pov'

"Lia, come on now, open your mouth and eat this like a good girl.In order to get well soon you have to eat healthy food."

I said, in order to feed the little girl who was sitting on the hospital bed.Lia shook her head in denial.

"No, I won't.I don't like these veggies. I have been eating it for one month.I wanna eat pizza. It's been long since I ate them."

Her mother looked at me with a worried expression.I gave a slight nod of assurance to her.

"Lia, see you're 9 yrs old now.You shouldn't trouble your mother like this. You know she loves you, right? And I promised that you'd be fully healthy like before, then a pizza treat would be from me. How about that?"

"Really, Miss doctor? OK, then if you keep your promise, then I'm willing to eat this."

She said in her cute ascent which melted my heart.

"You know I always keep my promise, so you don't need to worry about that, but you need to eat your food and medicines properly without any tantrums. OK?"

"Ok!"

We fist bumped our hands. Then she started to eat her meal and I ruffled her hair.I turned to her mother and gave her a smile, which she returned.

"Thanks, Doctor Elena.I'm really grateful to you."

"It's nothing, miss Sarah. It's my job to take care of people and to treat them and talking about Lia. She's my favourite.I'll come back tomorrow to check on her.I'll take my leave now."

I said and walked out of the ward as I was walking through the corridor while looking at my schedule.I thought about checking on my other patients as I was about to open the door knob of one of the patient's wardrooms, I heard some noises coming from the reception corner. Then I saw some nurses who were running towards the reception place.I felt something weird which I don't know what to name it and I don't have any time for that without wasting any time, I went towards the rceptionalist.

As soon as I arrived there my eyes widened when I saw the security guards were layingon the ground with their bloody bodies.I saw a muscular well built man who was standing in front of the receptionalist while yelling at her.The whole place was surrounded by their guards.

"S-sir,please calm down.First we need to confirm the info--"

The receptionist couldn't even complete her sentence as he banged the table hard with a gun in his hand.

"DO I LOOK LIKE I FUCKING CARE ABOUT YOUR SHITTY RULES?"

He yelled at her again and by now she was trembling in fear.I quickly went towards them.

"What's happening here? What's the matter?"

I asked Elva. By now she was a crying mess. I felt really bad for her, but I need to know what exactly happened there before I took any action towards it.She looked at me with her pleading eyes and answered in her trembling form.

"Dr. Elena, Mr.Lorenzo w-wants t-to admit h-his friend h-ere."

I frowned my eyebrows together and looked at him and looked at him.I knew this name since I had heard it many times on TV. He's one of the most powerful business men in the business world. Apart from this, he's involved in the Mafia world.

"S-since the hospital is owned by the government, we can't admit gangsters--"

Before she could complete her sentence, he pointed the gun towards her, ready to pull the trigger.

"You wanna die right, then let's fulfill your wish, shall we?"

"Sir, please calm down. This is a hospital and many patients are here."

He turned towards me and observed me from head to toe.I ignored his stares and turned towards the receptionist and ordered her.

"Elva, admit his friend and note down the information."

"B-but Dr.Elena, this could be against our hospital rules."

"No it's not.Everyone comes here as our patient, so it's our duty to serve and treat people. It doesn't matter if they're criminals or not.So do as I said." She nodded her head in anticipation.I turned around and looked at him but found him already staring at me with his amused gaze.

"Mr.Lorenzo, please put the gun down.Your friend will be fine."

A small smirk appeared on his lips.

"Thanks doc."

I nodded my head with gratitude and was about to leave, but Elva called me.

"Dr.Elena, we don't have any doctor available right now, but you."

I let out a sigh, trust me, I'm really tired.

"That's OK, I'll do it then."

"OK Doctor and thanks, miss Elena, for saving my life and the hospital by handling the situation.I thought I was about to die if you didn't come at the right time." She whispered to me and tried to smile.I gave her an assuring smile and patted her shoulder before leaving the place.

I went out of the ICU and looked around to find the patient's friend. Then I noticed him sitting in the waiting section with another guy.

"Excuse me."

I said to grab their attention. They both looked at me and stood on their feet literally hovering over me with their big, framed muscular bodies.

"The operation is successful. You can visit your friend now."

Lorenzo didn't say anything, instead he kept on staring at me with some unknown gaze. The other guy spoke, grabbing my attention.

"Hello doc.I'm Jackson King. Thanks for helping my friend. We are grateful for your kindness.Well, I have already paid the hospital bills. If anything more is needed, then just tell me."

"Yes I will"

I gave him a polite smile and left the place since that guy named Lorenzo was staring at me the whole time, making me nervous.

  • Taming Mr.Mafia King   Confrontation!

"T-Thomas?"I murmured after taking a look into his appearance. I almost didn't recognize him. He looked like a total beggar. His body was dehydrated while he lost all his muscles like they never existed before. His hair was a mess. His clothes were half ripped and way too huge for him.But the important question was, how did he end up like this? Just how?"So now, you remember?"He scoffed."Because of you, Vincenzo killed my father. You are responsible for his death and for my situation."My eyes went to Ronald, who was watching everything silently. It was way too obvious that he knew what exactly was going on, but keeping his face neutral he stared forward nonchalantly."You know everything, isn't it Ronald?"I asked him straight while his eyes went to my face carefully before he spoke."About what?"He asked back like he didn't know what I was talking about."Don't play dumb with me. I know your boss is behind all of this.""Then perhaps you should be asking this boss, not me."I s

  • Taming Mr.Mafia King   Strange Behaviour!

Elena's POV'My eyes remain stuck on the screen to check the medical records of my current patient. After checking all the details, I shut down the PC and stared out of the window, releasing a sigh. It's been a month since that night when Vincenzo, not even in my wildest dream, I thought he would ask for something called cuddles. It was still shocking that a dangerous man like him would ask for something like cuddles. It wasn't on my bingo card. After that night we hadn't been intimate with each other.....another shocking thing, right? I know and, given his sex drive, it was unbelievable at first, but later it got clear with time when every time I distanced myself using an excuse, so yeah, he never initiated sex first.I thought it was for good, but as time passed, I started to grow frustrated watching his strange behavior. Every time he came out of the shower only in a towel while the water droplets streamed down his toned body, looking hot as hell, and that man had the audacity to n

  • Taming Mr.Mafia King   She's Mine!

Vincenzo's POV'The mansion was silent when I stepped inside. The marble floors gleamed beneath the dim chandelier light, but every sound I made—my shoes, the harsh drag of my breath—felt louder than it should have.I didn’t turn on the full lights. I didn’t need to. Darkness suited me better. The scent of gunpowder still clung faintly to my clothes, the night’s chaos trailing me like smoke. There were dark bloody stains along the cuff of my shirt, a mark on my jaw where something—had caught me, but I didn’t flinch. I'd long grown used to wearing the aftermath of my work.As I climbed the stairs, the weight of the world seemed to fall away with every step, leaving only one thought—the door at the end of the corridor.I pushed it open quietly. The faintest glow from the bedside lamp spilled over her form. Elena was there, curled slightly toward the window, the sheets tangled around her like silk waves. The steady rhythm of her breathing filled the room, soft and even, the only sound th

  • Taming Mr.Mafia King   Pain Wasn't Loud!

Elena's POV'I walked out of the hospital with Sarah by my side as it was almost nighttime, so we were on our way back home. The hospital lights dimmed behind us as Sarah and I stepped out into the evening air. The city had begun to fold itself into night — headlights streaking by, the scent of rain lingering from earlier showers.I exhaled softly, feeling the ache of the long shift in my shoulders, but the older woman beside me walked as if the day had barely touched her. It's more like she's used to it but hats off to the woman.“Ah.”Sarah sighed, tilting her face up to the sky.“Nothing feels better than the air after a twelve-hour shift. Smells like freedom to me.”I chuckled.“Freedom and car exhaust.”Sarah laughed, a bright, musical sound that cut through the tiredness clinging to them.“Don’t ruin my poetry, dear. You’re too young to be this cynical.”We crossed the parking lot together, the elder woman linking her arm through mine without waiting for permission — she never d

  • Taming Mr.Mafia King   Villain!

The warehouse sat deep in the forest — a place forgotten by time, where even the wind hesitated to whisper. Its walls were rusted ribs of corrugated metal, streaked with age and rain, bleeding orange under the dim light that flickered from a dying bulb. The air inside was thick, stale with the scent of oil, blood, and decay — a silence broken only by the occasional drip of water echoing against the concrete floor. In the middle of that gloom sat a man, tied to a chair that had done too many sins. The ropes bit into his wrists, cutting angry lines into his skin, and his head hung low, heavy with exhaustion.Dust danced in the pale shafts of moonlight that seeped through broken panels, brushing against his bruised face like a cruel caress. Somewhere in the distance, metal chains clinked — a sound that promised pain more than rescue. The warehouse was a graveyard of secrets, a place where screams went unheard and mercy came late, if at all. Every shadow seemed alive, watching, waiting. A

  • Taming Mr.Mafia King   Led Back To Him!

Elena stood as Vincenzo's Lamborghini Egoista sped off the street, the echo of his words still settling in the air—an aftershock that made the pavement feel smaller under her feet.A cold wind came off the avenue, scouring the last warmness of the morning. It tangled in her hair and pried at the edges of her coat, but she did not wrap it tighter or hurry away. The gust lifted the loose strands across her face and dragged at the hem of her skirt; it smelled faintly of rain and car exhaust, sharp and honest. For once, the elements seemed to match the small, stubborn calm she felt inside—an exterior wind that couldn’t reach the quiet she’d carved for herself. Her jaw worked once, almost imperceptibly, as if testing whatever pride she had left. She watched his car become a dark sliver between buildings, then turned her gaze inward, away from the disappearing tail-lights. Only then did she notice them. They weren’t showy—no emblazoned suits or swaggering postures. They were professionals:
