Oops, looks like Max is planning something. Do you think he will succeed
Liv's POV“Liv…Liv” I heared a soft whisper call my name and I halted up from the bed in confusion. I didn't understand what was going up as I stood up on my feet and my eyes peered the unusual darkness that enveloped my room“Who’s that?" I asked in a whisper, my voice shaking a bit from the cold fear that consumed me."Don't you know who I am?" the voice questioned and I stepped back in fear.“I don’t want anything to do with you” I panicked, running towards a door which was open but before I could reach it, the door slammed shut on it's own and I gasped in fear as the curtains began to blow against each other.“I'm your mother, Liv" the voice revealed. I was taken aback as tears began to form in my eyes. I couldn't believe what I just heared. I placed my hand on my chest, clenching on it tightly. For some reason my chest was aching and with every deep breath I took, it became worse. I placed my hand on the wall for support.“Mum" I muttered in a shaky voice and the tears which stun
Liv's POVIt was finally time for the party and I felt nervousness creep inside of my body. I inwardly wished time wouldn't go fast but it kept on ticking as though it was being chased, ticking the countdown to face my fears.I stared right through the mirror as the reminiscance of mum's words surged through my head and it took a massive toll on me.I sighed in defeat. I was too scared of what was going to happen and I tried to convince myself to lock my room door and stay in there untill the party is over. I was too scared and besides I wasn't that important to the packhouse so my presence of abscence wouldn't make a difference to anyone. But I had forgotten that even if no one cared about me the triplets would surely care and they were now a huge part of my life. I knew they would never give permission for me to stay in the room for a celebration like that. After much hesistation, I finally came to a conclusion that I was going to the alliance party and what was I so scared about?
Liv’s POVThe whole place was in disruptive chaos the moment Ryder went down. Bullets kept flying in the air. The smell of blood filled the air as I watched people slip to the floor with blood spilled everywhere.I still couldn't understand anything that was going on. I was in utmost shock as I stood frozen on the floor, my heart pounding in my chest. It kept beating so fast that my body began to shake vigorously.I was extremely petrified about the whole ruckus. I knew I had to run to save myself but my legs weren't willing to comply with the whole situation.People running out began to push me and I kept swinging left and right. I began to feel dizzy and pressured. Everything kept spinning around. I placed my hands on the side of my head, gritting my teeth in pain. One of the intruders spotted me and pointed a gun directly at me in the midst of the commotion. I was tamed to a spot by fear. I wasn't moving, neither was I breathingSuddenly, I felt someone push me aside. Once again, i
Liv's POVThe sound of gunshots filled my ears and I began to twirl in my sleep. Beads of sweat formed on my forehead and I shooked my head, feeling petrified. It felt as though I was being pushed down and I was about to fall down from a high cliff but I woke up.“Frank" I muttered as my eyes peered around, trying to get accustomed to the ambience. I knew for a fact I wasn't in the dark sky pack or dark moon pack. Then where was I?.I felt a sharp pain in my leg and I gazed down to see my leg had been wrapped with a bandage. That was when I recalled I had been shot before I crawled into the woods and lost consciousness.I was laid on a small bed and no one was around me. I began to feel a sense of uneasiness, I recalled some people were chasing after me. What if they finally got a hold of me? The thought that imploded my head scared me so much and escaping at that moment felt like the right thing to do.I raised my body up, trying to place my feet on the floor but the pain that attack
Liv’s POVI returned to my room. I couldn't stop thinking about Frank, no matter how hard I tried to concentrate on something else. The thoughts of him kept imploding my head. There wasn't anything to do in the new place I was brought to. Except sleeping and waking up. The only thing I did was stand near the window, leaning my body on the frame.I watched the soldiers. They were getting prepared for what was about to attack them, nothing more. Despite being left alone I knew for a fact Callum and Ryder were still around me. They kept checking up on me to know if I was fitting well into my new unfamiliar space.I gazed up at the sky, I noticed the clouds changing it's colour but the thought of Frank wouldn't leave my head. I craved to see him in front of me, perfectly okay. I wished to kiss him, to feel his lips on mine, something I never thought about doing. To feel the warmthness of his body in mine. The sound of my room door alerted me. I turned to the direction of the sound. Someon
Liv's POV“What the heck" Callum cursed out, taking his lower lip into his mouth. He grazed his lip with his teeth, tapping a finger on his nose with his eyes piercing through the wall. “How sure are you about this information?" he asked, feeling utterly confused.“It's a legit information Alpha. I got to find out the news was gotten out from the man Alpha Ryder captured” the guard aired out."You may go now. Keep an eye on him, make sure he doesn't escape” Callum instructed. The guard bowed his head, walking out of the room in hastened steps. The news the guard let out made everybody confused, including me. I could see the worrisome look potrayed on Callum's face. The way he kept pacing back and forth made me understand he was torn between the high mountain alongside the dashing waves, he didn’t seem like he knew what to do next.On the other hand Ryder was worried. There was nothing I could do to lessen their pain, I just watched them without uttering a word.“We need to seek refug
Liv's Pov… We all had no other option but to go. In order for our lives to be saved, we had to end up making decisions none of us wanted. We took the tank as we all entered inside it, Ryder nodded his head at Callum. I guessed he could see Callum was too stressed so he went in place of him to drive us to dark sky pack. They would think I was the most excited when Frank brought up the idea of accommodating us at the dark sky pack but little did it dawn on them I had second thoughts of staying back. The fear I thought I got rid of came back to me in double foes. I was so nervous as I began to break my knuckles, that was what I knew how to do best when it came to calming myself down. I inwardly hoped no one noticed me because I wasn't ready to answer any more questions. At least Frank would understand but Callum and Ryder wouldn't. I personally forbade Frank from saying anything to them when he came over the other day as he got into a serious fight with Callum. I could still recal
Liv's POVAll that didn't make sense to me. I couldn't wrap my head around it neither could I understand were Frank's revelation lead to.I released a loud sigh. I was too stunned to speak, I had to inhale some deep breaths, bracing myself up as I lifted up my gaze at Frank once more. “I'm vividly sure I heared you right when you said Alpha Arthur and Luna Jennie were mates. So why did he get married to Luna Rebeca then?” I asked in anticipation. I was really curious, I wanted to know the hidden mystery to all the traces of revenge.“Alpha Arthur didn't want to have anything to do with my mother because he believed she wouldn't bring him the power he wanted” Frank explained as he folded his lips together. I could see through his eyes he didn't really like talking about it but in order for him to spew out everything to me, he had to dig up old injuries.I closed the distance between us. I grabbed his hand, intertwining my fingers in his as I gently stroked the back of his palm.“If yo
Liv's POV Wake up, Liv! Wake up! Liv! I opened my eyes immediately and found myself lying on the floor of a room where I could barely see a thing. My wolf had been calling for hours. Although it was difficult to see in the room, I was strongly convinced that it wasn't my cell room. The floor was finished with slate unlike my cell room which was raw concrete. Moreover, if it was my cell room, I wouldn't be sleeping on the floor. I wouldn't even have rolled off to the floor because my bed was too big for that.. I tried to get up from the floor and a sharp ache hit the back of my neck. "Argh." I groaned, before carefully placing my palm on the spot and massaging it gently. And in that moment when I touched the spot where I felt the ache, a brief memory flashed through my head. I recalled being hit on that spot. And it happened in my cell room. Slowly, it all started coming back to me. Max! He had definitely sent that soldier back to my cell to knock me out. But what for? I folded
Callum's POV Max stood close to one of the glass walls of his penthouse. His back faced the door where I entered from and he didn't bother turning around to look at me. "Coming up here all alone, Callum, is a bold sign that you underestimate me so much," he said in a soft tone. "Cut the crap and tell me where you hid her," I ordered. He chuckled, throwing his head back. "Tell you where she is? Do you really want to know, Callum? Huh?" He shoved a feet backward in order to turn. "Don't dare it," I ordered. "Don't fucking move." "Huh? Don't tell me you're scared to look me in the face," he taunted. I gritted my teeth hard. "I promise you, Max, make another silly move and I will pull this fucking trigger. I swear on my life." "Bloody dare it," he taunted and finally turned around. I aimed the gun at his chest, carefully to shift it slightly from his heart. Then I pulled the trigger. What I expected to be a bang came out as a soft click sound. My orbs flew wide. When d
Callum's POVWhen I heard noises coming from the vent, I knew Ryder had arrived. But something baffled me. It had been more than thirty minutes now since the alarm went off, and yet, not a single man from Max's army had showed up.Climbing down from the vent, Ryder's brows lifted with surprise at the pile of enemy corpses heaped at a corner of the laundry room. "Quite some work you did here," he chuckled."Shut up," I mumbled, heightening my senses as the tip of my ears stood on edge.I went closer to the wall and placed my ear on it, listening carefully."They're coming," I blurted out immediately I started hearing footsteps approaching. "A lot of them. I think we're outnumbered.""That won't be a problem," Ryder said. "I came prepared."The moment he said that, I heard a heavy bang in the vent and two people murmuring and cussing at each other.Seeing a smile grow on Ryder's face, I raised a questioning brow."They're with us," he said, easing my nerves. Two soldiers came down from
Callum's POVThree trucks were ready to roll out, two loaded with arms and the last one with the tools for opening the tunnel. There were four men in each truck, except the last one which had just three of us.All the guns were muffled with silencers, and then, I instructed my men not to shift for any reason. We needed to do everything possible to avoid attracting attention to us as our group wasn't much of a force. As we drove closer to the location of the tunnel that led into the Darkmoon pack, we turned down our lights just in case some of Maxs guards were there. Luckily, there werent."Take your positions," I ordered the armed soldiers, tucking a pistol into the back of my trousers as I climbed down the truck. With a group of three soldiers who grabbed the equipment we had brought to cut the tunnel open, I went to the mouth of the tunnel. The foul stench of dead rodents hit my nose as we got to the entrance of the tunnel to inspect it. A channel that hadn't been used by our pack f
Callum's POVReturning to Dark sky pack with just a diary wasn't what I'd expected from my meeting with Samantha. Not after the risk we'd both taken to meet up in the woods of the Darkmoon. But the fact that Max kept a diary had me thinking and rethinking. If someone had told me he owned a diary, like a girl, I'd have doubted with every ounce of certainty.A sigh left me and I tucked the shitty diary into the pit of my arms.Ryder had a cup of hot coffee with him when I returned, his legs crossed as he rested them on the table while leaning back on his seat. He had never been a lover of coffee. Definitely, he was battling sleep. And yes, executing our plan had taken hell of time. But I'd rather bear that delay than a shameful defeat coming from advancing to fight Max without a proper plan."How did it go?" Ryder asked, dropping his coffee on the table."You mean the meeting with Samantha?" I purposely asked him."What else would I mean?" He queried. But I was pretty sure that if he p
Max's POVI smirked immediately I sighted Samantha’s figure emerge from the woods."Fucking bitch," I grinned. People who mistook silence for foolishness or weakness were the ones I despised the most. She froze in her tracks at the moment she saw me with my soldiers. With my senses heightened, I could hear her heartbeat throbbing fast, like a rat running out of its hole only to meet a cat waiting there for it."M-a-x," her lips quaked, ready to blurt a lie. But I didn't have the time for that.I had wasted much time already, all of which Callum had taken advantage of."It's not what you—" she tried to say, but I shushed her.Pointing at her, I ordered the soldiers who were with me, "arrest her!"A bitch like her deserved to rot in jail. Starved and punished without remorse."Please, Max. Don't do this!" She screamed as they dragged her away. She was the least of my problems. If she had some sense, she should have been able to tell from the start that I'd been following her with cauti
Callum's POVA beep on my phone. It was Samantha. My fingers became fast to touch the screen immediately I saw it was from her."Found something that could be helpful," the text said, "but you have to be careful so he doesn't notice something is off."I shot a gaze at Ryder who stood just beside me and had read the text along with me. "We need to get to her ASAP," I suggested. "We can't sleep on any slightest chance to push our plan further.""Definitely." Ryder nodded, his arms folded across his chest. "Now, what's a good location to meet up with her?""In the empty apartment of your brain—" Someone's voice intruded from the far end of the hall.My veins tense immediately I realized it was Frank. I gritted my teeth hard, fighting hard to suppress my irritation. I knew it was speak of the devil and he'd show up. But no one spoke about this bastard. Not even a single thought. He began to clap his hands as he approached. "Yeah, what a smart plan put together by two grown men at the di
Liv's POVAt the back of my head, I knew that going through someone's else's property without permission was a bad thing to do. At that moment I didn't want to think about what was wrong or right. There wasn't any time left to judge myself.I felt as though I could find something very important inside of this diary. I was curious to know, especially when I was aware of a diary being a person's first friend. It was hard for me though. For the fact that I wasn't used to taking people's stuffs without their permission but I might never get this chance again. I swiveled my head to Max's direction, he was still asleep. It looked as though he wasn't going to wake up at the soonest so I had enough time to my self. I flipped through some more pages but I was astonished at what I saw. Why was it blank? there was nothing written in it. Was this just to mislead me? did Max know about my plan before hand? No it wasn't possible and I knew for a fact I was right in thinking so.I almost slammed the
Liv's POVMy fingers slowly found the buttons of his shirt. I began to unbutton his shirt, my eyes were fixated on him. The way he stared at me was as though he had set his eyes on me for the first time.I walked behind him, removing the shirt off his body. I wrapped my arm around his neck, his back pressed against my bossoms. I began to caress his chest, I didn't fail to notice when his eyelids closed in the pleasure which consumed him.A sly smile beamed on the side of my lips. I thought it was a hard thing to do but it was so easy to pull him close to me.“I'm sorry" I leaned closer, whispering into his ears. I blew my breath on his earlobe as I dropped his shirt on the bed.“Why are you suddenly acting this way towards me?" he asked. His gaze pierced through my eyes, I stared back at him through the mirror.“What way is that? I really don't know what you're talking about” I said, acting completely ignorant. I turned my body away from him.He grabbed my wrist. I stopped right in tr
