Lucy POV
His name, his look, his entire presence, it was too perfect to ignore. Doctor Daniel exuded confidence, his tall frame looming over me as he adjusted his lab coat, without his eyes trying to get to mine. His sharp jawline and piercing blue eyes gave him an aura of quiet authority, one that both comforted and unnerved me. He stood by my bedside, flipping through his notepad, scribbling notes every now and then. The silence in the room was fully suffocating, and I found myself gripping the blanket tightly, my nails digging into the fabric. I couldn't take it anymore, the slience, the tension. The longer he stayed quiet, the more my mind race with lots of question to ask. "How's my baby, Doctor Daniel?" My voice cracked as I spoke up, and I immediately hated how desperate I sounded. His gaze shifted from the notepad to my pale looking face, and for a fleeting moment, his expression softened. But then, he straightened his posture, his professional mask sliding back into place. He didn’t give me an answer. "Doctor…" My voice was louder now, trembling with anxiety. He raised a hand, cutting me off gently but firmly. "You need to relax, Lucy. Before you think about your child, you have to prioritize your health first. Stress will only make things worse." His voice was warm, almost soothing, but it did little to calm the storm brewing inside of me already. Tears prickled at the corners of my eyes, and I fought to keep them from spilling out already. "Doctor Daniel," I pressed, my voice trembling with something laced with fear. "I'm strong enough to know what happened to my baby. Please, tell me." He sighed deeply, his shoulders dropping slightly. For a moment, I thought he would relent already, but instead, he shook his head. "I'm sorry, but I can't share that with you right now. You need rest before any other thing, Lucy." Rest? How could I rest when every fiber of my being screamed for answers was on me already? "I waited five years for this child," I choked out, my tears falling freely now, with my eyes facing up to the celling fan. "My entire pack depends on me to provide an heir. My husband... Andy only wants me to have a child so he can secure his title. Don’t you understand? This baby is the only thing keeping me away from depression…" I stopped myself, unable to finish the thought. Doctor Daniel set his notepad down and pulled a chair closer to the bed, sitting down beside me. For a moment, his professional demeanor cracked, and he looked at me with genuine concern. "Lucy," he began softly, "you’re not just a vessel for an heir or someone else’s expectations. You’re a person, and right now, that person is exhausted and overwhelmed. You need time to heal, physically and emotionally and otherwise." His words were kind, but they felt hollow. He didn’t understand me all. No one did at this point of my life. I turned my face away from him, staring at the pale walls of the hospital room. "You don't know what it's like," I said, with my voice above a whisper. He didn’t reply immediately. Instead, he stood up and walked to the window, his back to me. The silence stretched, heavy and unbearable. "I do," he finally said, his voice quieter now. "More than you even think." Before I could ask him what he meant, the door to the room creaked open. A nurse peeked in, her face pale with unease. "Doctor Daniel," she said hesitantly, "we need you in the next ward. It’s urgent." Daniel nodded, his features tightening. He turned back to me, his gaze lingering for a moment longer. "Get some rest, Lucy. I’ll be back soon." And then he was gone, leaving me alone with my thoughts. I sat in silence for a while, the weight of uncertainty crushing me. My baby. My health. My future. It was all too much. The door creaked again, and I instinctively turned my head, expecting to see Daniel. But it wasn’t him. It was Ash. Her smug expression sent a chill down my spine. She stepped into the room, closing the door behind her with a soft click. "What do you want from me now?" I spat, my voice trembling with both anger and fear. She walked closer, her high heels clicking against the tiled floor. "Just checking on you, Luna Lucy," she said sweetly, her voice dripping with mock concern. "Don’t call me that, from that mouth of yours," I snapped with anger. She smirked, leaning against the edge of the bed. "Oh, but you are the Luna... for now. Though, I can’t imagine Andy will keep you around much longer. Not with me carrying his child and all." Her words were like a dagger to my heart, but I refused to let her see me break. "Leave," I said through gritted teeth and heavy anger. She leaned in closer, her face inches from mine. "You think this child will save you? Think again, Lucy. Andy doesn’t need you anymore. And soon..." She trailed off, her smirk widening into a wicked grin. Before I could respond, she straightened up and walked to the door. Just as she reached for the handle, she paused and glanced back at me. "You should pray for that baby of yours," she said softly, her tone suddenly serious. "Because if anything happens to it... well, let’s just say accidents happen all the time in packs." And then she was gone, leaving me trembling with rage and fear. I clenched my fists, vowing to protect my child no matter the cost. But deep down, a seed of doubt had already been planted. What did she mean by accidents? And just how far was she willing to go to take everything from me? As I lay there, replaying her words in my mind, the door creaked open once more. My heart leapt, expecting to see Doctor Daniel again. Instead, it was a shadowy figure. They stepped inside, their face hidden in the dim light. "Luna Lucy," the voice whispered, cold and unfamiliar. "You’re in danger."Lucy POVThe dim light of the unfamiliar room made the shadows dance on the walls, mirroring the fear inside me. Time had become meaningless, with each passing second dragging me deeper into despair and pain. My whole pack, my home, my dignity, all of it ripped away under few days. Andy had left me for Ash, casting me aside like I was nothing to him, even though we had fight to build the pack for years. I was here, in this cold, suffocating place, stripped of my identity as Luna and burdened by the weight of my unborn child. It wasn’t just abandonment I felt; it was betrayal, it was lust, it was just hate. Lying on the thin mattress, my eyes fixated on the cracked ceiling. I barely registered the sound of footsteps approaching. Slow, deliberate, and heavy. My instincts told me to be on guard, but I was too drained to move, let alone care for myself. The door creaked open, and two figures stepped into the room. I didn’t need to look to know who they were. Daniel and Ash. Ash’
Lucy POV"Please, don't take my life away!" I begged, my voice cracking under the weight of my desperation. My body trembled uncontrollably as I clutched my stomach, shielding my unborn child with my hands. Daniel and the fierce-looking woman stood at the foot of the bed, their gazes locked on me. The woman’s sharp features were illuminated by the dim light, her fiery eyes scanning me like I was prey caught in her trap. My mind was spinning. I wanted to survive, to fight back if I had to. I wanted to live to see my child born. But beyond survival, I wanted revenge—a chance to make everyone who betrayed me pay for their cruelty. "Who wants to kill?" the woman asked, her voice cold and commanding. Her words sent a chill down my spine. She wasn’t asking out of concern—she wanted clarity, like a hunter deciding whether to pull the trigger. I blinked at her in confusion. A strange calmness surrounded her, but it was deceptive. She radiated danger, her confidence unnerving me more
Lucy POVI sat down there looking so confused."Who was this man and what was he doing here? " I asked myself Still looking at the three who stood.Daniel words were commanding.Ivy looked at me. " Pretend dead," she's already coming.I immediately lay on the bed, my thought high in the air. Different thoughts walked into my head.Soon, I felt her presence, her breathe already hitting me, making me feel irritated and a little bit down." Hope she's dead?" She asked, while I laid down there in pretence." Just as you wanted" Daniel replied.I felt a cloth covering me already, I just couldn't react or saying anything, even though the cloth was stinking." So, what next now?" Ash asked. The took was a little bit slient for a while, no words from anyone.Ivy finally spoke up, as the brave woman in the midst of the two other men. " We take her to the mog, she's dead, we don't need her body." She said." Yes, that's true. " Daniel added." Okay then, do as you want with her dead body, am no
Lucy POVI slowly sat up on the bed, rubbing my eyes to clear the haze. Ivy was already sitting beside me, a bright smile on her face. "Good morning," she said, her voice cheerful and her expression too.I yawned, feeling a bit disoriented from the other day. "Morning," I replied, my voice husky from short sleep I had. I looked around the whole room, taking in the elegant decorations and the large window that let in a flood of sunlight.Ivy handed me a dress, a beautiful white garment with intricate lace details. "Here, put this on," she said, her eyes sparkling with excitement and Joy. "We have a big day ahead of us."I took the dress, feeling a bit bewildered. "What's going on?" I asked, looking at Ivy for immediate answers. She smiled, her expression mischievous. "You'll see," she said. "Just get dressed and come downstairs. Alpha Daniel is waiting for us both."I nodded, feeling a sense of what I can't explain. What did Alpha Daniel have planned for me? And why was Ivy being s
Lucy POVAs I walked down the staircase, my mind was a whirlwind of thoughts, each one more complexed than the last one. For a moment, I forgot about the turmoil that had been brewing inside of me, the fear and uncertainty that had taken up residence in my heart. My thoughts were no longer consumed by the well-being of my unborn child, but by the enigmatic figure of Ash and her accomplice and ex mate plus father to my unborn child, Andy.Who was Ash, really? What drove her to manipulate and deceive those around her? And what was her ultimate goal? Why does she really want me out of the way? Was it merely to claim dominance over our pack, or was there something more sinister at play? The questions swirled in my mind, refusing to be silenced or calm, but still I couldn't figure out the best reply to them.I pushed aside my thoughts and focused on the present moment. Daniel was sitting in the living room, his eyes scanning through a stack of documents in his arms. He looked up as I appr
Lucy POVEvery day in this house felt like a slow descent into weakness and pain. The opulent furnishings and lavish decor seemed to mock me, reminding me of all that I had lost in my old life as a Luna of a great pack. Every glance in the mirror was a painful reminder of my old life, of the person I used to be before Ash's manipulation and deceit had torn everything apart for me.As I sat on the plush couch in my spacious room, I couldn't shake off the feeling of restlessness that had been building up inside of me. What I wanted, more than anything, was to uncover Ash's true intentions towards me and my whole pack. What was her ultimate goal and vision? What did she hope to achieve by manipulating my family and the pack? But, as much as I wanted to know all of this, I was stuck in the dark. I wasn't close enough to Ash to know her true plans, and Ivy, who seemed to know more than she was letting on, wasn't forthcoming with informational that I needed to uncover the case.Ivy sat do
Lucy POVI watched as he walked into the room, a self-satisfied smirk placed on his face. The tension that had been building between Ivy and me instantly dissipated, replaced by a sense of unease. He seemed to be reveling in the fact that he had interrupted our conversation, and I couldn't help but wonder what he wanted from we both."Why did you both keep silent?" he asked, his eyes scanning the room as he made his way to the chair opposite of our setting postion. His tone was casual, but I could sense a underlying current of curiosity and anxiety hiding under of it.Ivy was the first to speak up, her voice calm and menacing. "Nothing," she said, her gaze flicking to me before returning to him.He raised an eyebrow, clearly not believing any of her words. "Really?" he pressed, his eyes narrowing slightly between we both. "Because it seemed like you were in the middle of a very intense conversation."Ivy and I exchanged a glance, and I could sense her hesitation. She didn't want to
Lucy POV"Ah, my tummy hurts!" I screamed out in pain, my voice echoing through the darkness of the night. It was as if my world had come crashing down around me, leaving me shattered and totally helpless. The pain was excruciating, like a thousand knives stabbing at my stomach, and I couldn't help but writhe in agony and despair. It was the middle of the night, and I was supposed to be resting, preparing for the arrival of my unborn baby. But instead, I was lying in the bed, clutching my stomach, and screaming at the top of my lungs. I had never felt such intense pain before, and I didn't know how much more I could take.Suddenly, I heard the sound of footsteps rushing towards my room already. Ivy and Daniel burst through the door, their faces etched with concern and questions. "What's going on?" Ivy asked, her voice firm but worried. She rushed to my side, her hands grasping mine, trying to calm me down. But I couldn't look at her at this point of my life. I couldn't look at anythi
Lucy’s POVThe silence in the room was suffocating and intimidating. Ivy, Ethan, Daniel and I sat around the table, each of us lost in different thought. The weight of our discovery felt like a storm brewing, threatening to destroy everything we already knew.Ethan broke the silence. “Ash is working with the rogues. She’s planning something big.”Ivy leaned forward, her eyes narrowing. “How big is it?”Ethan hesitated. “Big enough to connect the pack to the human world. She wants control, not just over us but over them too.”I frowned. “That doesn’t make sense. What would rogues want with humans?”“Power,” Ethan said simply. “Humans have influence. Money. Resources. Ash wants to use that to her own advantage knowing you are with Daniel. And with Andy by her side, she has the leverage to make it happen.”Ivy slammed her hand on the wooden table. “This is totally insane! How did she even manage to ally with rogues? They hate everyone.”Ethan shrugged. “Ash is persuasive. And desperate.
Lucy POV“Ethan, I need you to help gather all the useful information you can get,” I said, leaning closer to him. My voice trembled slightly with worry, and my facial expression filled with concern.Ethan’s gaze softened, but his words were sharp. “Lucy, they’re already closer than you even know.”I frowned. “What do you mean?”“They’ve been watching over the time. Waiting for you,” he explained, his voice low and expression Stren. “Ash doesn’t make moves without a good plan, and Beta Andy? He’s her sure weapon to get to you.”A shiver ran down my spine. “What do they want?”“You,” Ethan said bluntly. “And more than that, control. They’re planning to infiltrate the human world. With Andy and the rogues at her side, Ash thinks she can destroy you and Also destroy Daniel.”I blinked, disbelief mixing with fear. “Ethan, how do you know all this?”He hesitated, glancing away. “I have my own ways.”“That’s not good enough,” I pressed. “You’re hiding something, aren’t you?”Ethan’s jaw tig
Lucy POV“ You should atleast take a while and think about all of this that have been happening!” Ivy voice was already getting on the high side, as she paced the room back and forth.I looked at her as she paced the whole room, while my heart racing with multiple thoughts already.Ivy words were making sense to me but I have more doubt within myself. Ethan wasn't that bad or was he?“ Ivy, I just don't believe those things!” I tried to oppose at her own words as he shifted her gaze to me. “ He can never even if he as once a rogue.”“ Lucy, you won't let me believe those words Daniel tells me.”Daniel? He gossip? At this point curiosity hit me adder than intended of it.“ You both gossip about me?” I asked, dragging my face to get closer to hers.“ No,” she adjusted back a little” we don't gossip about you. That'd be childish” she immediately faked that smile on her face at once.“ Ivy,” I immediately composed myself my face showing seriousness.“ What?” “ Tell me every single thing
Lucy POVI stormed into the living room, my hands clenched into fists. Daniel was leaning against the window, staring out into the large city like he had all the answers in the world. His calmness only fueled my own anger.“Why do you always think you know better?” I blurted out, my voice echoing through the room, with my anger already visible through my words. He turned to me, eyebrows raised up with a sassy look. “What are you talking about, Lucy?”“You!” I jabbed a finger at him with my face but giving a chance to crave up a smile. “You’re always acting like I’m some fragile little thing who can’t make her own decisions. Like I’m not capable of taking care of myself!”Daniel sighed, rubbing the back of his neck. “This again?”“Yes, this again!” I stepped closer, my chest heaving, as I released my words without double thoughts. “Why do you always underestimate me...huh? You treat me like I’m clueless when I’ve proven time and time again that I can handle myself.”“You’re not cluele
[ Dear readers there are two point of views in this chapter]Daniel POVI heard the muffled sounds coming from the clearing behind the house. Gripping my jacket tighter, I followed the faint grunts and shuffling noises, my curiosity becoming higher than even expected. As I got closer, the sight before me froze me in place.Lucy and Ethan were sparring under the moonlight in the human world, her movements sharp and deliberate. I clenched my fists.“What the hell is going on here?”Lucy froze mid-swing, her face paling as she turned to see me standing. Ethan stepped back, his jaw tightening already and my facial expression turning unfriendly.“Daniel, I can explain....” she started with a small voice.“Explain what?” I snapped, getting myself closer. “That you’re out here sneaking around behind my back, training for a suicide mission?”“It’s not sneaking,” Lucy said, squaring her shoulders. “I told you I was going through with this. You’re the one who refused to listen to me."“I refuse
Lucy POV“Absolutely not!” Daniel’s voice boomed through the living room, his fists clenched tightly at his sides.I stood my ground, refusing to back down. “Daniel, we already talked about this. It’s the only way.”“No, it’s not!” He glared at me. “You think sneaking into Ash’s circle is smart? It’s reckless, Lucy. You’re going to get yourself killed!”Ethan, who had been leaning casually against the wall, stepped forward. “Daniel, calm down. Lucy knows the risks.”“Don’t tell me to calm down!” Daniel snapped, pointing at Ethan. “You’re just encouraging her crazy idea!”“It’s not crazy,” Ethan said, his voice steady. “It’s bold. And bold is exactly what we need right now.”I looked between the two of them, my patience wearing thin. “Would you both stop? This isn’t about your egos—it’s about stopping Ash before she destroys everything.”Daniel scoffed. “Oh, and you think you’re the hero who can stop her? You don’t even know what she’s planning!”“That’s the point!” I shot back. “If we
Lucy POVDaniel paced back and forth in the living room, his jaw tight as Ivy and Ethan sat quietly. I stood near the window, my arms crossed. The air was thick with heavy filled tension.“We need to talk about the message,” Daniel finally said, his voice sharp. “This isn’t just a warning, it’s a threat and I don't like that.”“Yeah, no kidding,” Ivy muttered, leaning back on the couch. “Ash doesn’t do warnings and don't fulfill.”“What do we know about her plans?” Ethan asked, his eyes narrowing.Daniel shook his head. “Not enough. She’s smart, and she’s always two steps ahead.”I cleared my throat, drawing their attention. “Then we need to be three steps ahead of her plans."Daniel stopped pacing and turned to me with a very serious expression. “What do you mean?”I took a deep breath before. “We don’t wait for her to strike before we do. We go to her first before she does.”“What?” Ivy’s eyes widened. “Are you serious?”“Yes,” I said firmly. “Ash is dangerous, but she’s also predic
Lucy POVI found Daniel pacing in the living room, his jaw tight and fists clenched. He was mad again, and I was tired of it.“Daniel,” I said, standing in the doorway. " We need to talk and it urgent.”He stopped, turning to me with a glare. “About what?”“About you acting like some kind of guard dog,” I said, stepping closer with my voice firm. “What’s your problem with me spending time with Ethan?”His eyes narrowed, as his words made way. “You really don’t get it, do you?”“Get what actually?” I crossed my arms. “That you’re jealous for no reason?”“I’m not jealous and why should I even be jealous about you?!” he snapped. “I’m trying to protect you from that guy, you actually don't know who he is enough!”“Protect me from someone have known for year's?” I scoffed. “From what? Ethan’s been nothing but helpful to me like the old days.”Daniel ran a hand through his hair, looking frustrated already. “You don’t know him like I do Lucy.”“Oh, here we go again,” I said, rolling my eyes
Daniel POVI sat at the edge of the couch, my mind spinning like a whirlwind as ivy’s words kept replaying in my head like a video. “ Daniel, you like her that why the pain of Ethan in her room hurt's you.” But why did it sting so much than j even expected? Why couldn’t I shake the image of Lucy and Ethan together out of my mind?“Daniel?” Her voice pulled me back to reality, as I turned to look at her own face.I looked up to see Lucy standing in front of me already, her hands on her hips, a teasing smile on her face.“Why do you look so lost? Did I scare you or something?” she asked, raising an eyebrow, as she walked closer to myself.I shook my head, forcing a small laugh to my pale looking face. “You? Scare me? Not a chance.”Her smile widened immediately. “Good. Because you look like you’ve seen a ghost.”“Just tired,” I muttered, avoiding her gaze.Lucy tilted her head, studying me. “You’ve been acting strange lately. Did something happen to you recently?”I hesitated, but b
