Lucy POV

The dim light of the unfamiliar room made the shadows dance on the walls, mirroring the fear inside me. Time had become meaningless, with each passing second dragging me deeper into despair and pain. My whole pack, my home, my dignity, all of it ripped away under few days. Andy had left me for Ash, casting me aside like I was nothing to him, even though we had fight to build the pack for years.

I was here, in this cold, suffocating place, stripped of my identity as Luna and burdened by the weight of my unborn child. It wasn’t just abandonment I felt; it was betrayal, it was lust, it was just hate.

Lying on the thin mattress, my eyes fixated on the cracked ceiling. I barely registered the sound of footsteps approaching. Slow, deliberate, and heavy. My instincts told me to be on guard, but I was too drained to move, let alone care for myself.

The door creaked open, and two figures stepped into the room. I didn’t need to look to know who they were.

Daniel and Ash.

Ash’s heels clicked against the cold floor as she approached me, her presence suffocating and feeling so intimidating. Daniel followed, his steps more measured, almost reluctant.

"Look at her," Ash sneered, her voice dripping with venom and la Ed with Malice. "Pathetic little fool."

I turned my head slightly, meeting her gaze. Her smirk was as sharp as a blade, cutting into the fragile resolve I had left.

"What do you really want from me, Ash?" My voice was hoarse but steady.

She didn’t answer immediately. Instead, she turned to Daniel, placing a perfectly manicured hand on his chest.

"You know what I want from you," she said softly, her tone sweet yet sinister at same time.

"I want her gone. Both of them."

Daniel’s jaw tightened, his eyes flickering toward me, his look getting more firece and serious. For a moment, I thought I saw something hanging there hesitation, maybe even guilt. But it was gone as quickly as it appeared.

"You want me to kill her," he said flatly, not a question but a statement.

Ash’s smile widened, giving a quick answer.

"I knew you’d understand what I want. You’re the only one I can trust with this job."

I pushed myself up slightly, my heart pounding hard in my chest.

"You can’t be serious about this," I said, looking between the two of them.

Ash ignored me, turning her full attention to Daniel.

"She’s a threat to everything I already planned, Daniel. Andy’s attention keeps drifting back to her, and that baby in her womb..." She spat the word like it was poison in her mouth, she shifted get gaze to me and hissed.

"That baby is a problem we don’t need it also."

My hand instinctively went to my stomach, shielding my unborn child. The thought of Ash’s words becoming a reality sent a cold shiver down my spine.

"Daniel," I said, my voice shaking but firm, "you don’t have to do this. You’re a doctor. You save lives, not take them away."

He looked at me, his expression unreadable and serious.

Ash leaned closer to him, her voice dropping to a whisper, though I could still hear every word that came out from her venom hole.

"You said it yourself, Daniel. You don’t owe her anything. She’s nothing but a burden, a liability, a waste of time and stress. Andy doesn’t want her anymore. I don’t want her also. And you am sure you also don't need her occupying space in your hospital...." She paused, her fingers tracing his arm.

"You want me happy, don’t you?"

Daniel stepped back, breaking her own touch.

"This isn’t about your happiness, Ash," he said coldly. "It’s about what’s right and what's wrong."

"Exactly," Ash said quickly. "And the right thing is to get rid of her. Permanently. Away from the surface of this Earth."

I felt the walls closing up on me, my breathing becoming shallow. I couldn’t let them do this to me. For my child’s sake, I had to fight, but how could I stand against them in my current state?

Daniel’s gaze shifted to me again, and this time, I thought I saw something crack in his stoic exterior. He took a deep breath, running a hand through his hair.

"You really want this, Ash?" he asked quietly with a serious look.

"Yes," she said without any hesitation.

"I want her gone for good. I want them both gone forever."

There was a long silence, the tension in the room so thick it was suffocating. Daniel’s eyes bore into mine, and I could feel my pulse racing.

Then, he spoke finally.

"Fine," he said, his voice calm and detached.

"I’ll take care of it as you ordered."

My heart stopped at this point.

Ash’s face lit up with triumph, her wicked grin making my stomach churn. She turned to leave, clearly satisfied that her twisted plan was in motion.

"I’ll leave it to you then," she said, her tone almost cheerful and her face happy.

"Make sure you make it quick."

The door closed behind her, leaving Daniel and me alone. He stood there for a moment, his back to me, his hands clenched into fists.

"Daniel," I whispered, my voice trembling.

He turned slowly, his expression hard but conflicted.

"Don’t make this harder than it already is," he said, his voice low.

Tears streamed down my face as I clutched my stomach.

"Please, Daniel. You don’t have to do this to me."

He took a step closer, his shadow falling over me.

"Stay quiet, Lucy," he said softly, almost as if he were trying to convince himself to do it.

And then, just as he reached for me, the door burst open.

A figure stood in the doorway, their silhouette illuminated by the dim light from the hall.

"Daniel," the voice said sharply. "What the hell are you doing here by this time?"

The tension in the room froze as Daniel turned to face the intruder, his face a mix of shock and guilt.

My breath hitched as I realized this might be my only chance to survive, but who had come to my rescue at this time?

Who already knew about this and chose to help me.

She’s out of the way.”The meaning was clear, and the venom in her smirk when she caught me looking only confirmed it. She wanted me gone. But what plan? How deep did this go? And why the hell was Andy still entertaining her after everything she’d done? I bit back the urge to scream. The pain in my ribs was a sharp reminder that I was in no position to confront her now. Ash lingered in the room for a moment longer, her fingers idly scrolling on her phone, pretending as if she hadn’t just dropped a bomb in my lap. Andy glanced between us, clearly uncomfortable. “Ash, maybe you should go,” he said finally, his voice tense. “Why?” she replied, feigning innocence. “I just wanted to make sure Lucy was okay. It wasn’t just a smile; it was a challenge, daring me to do something about her blatant disrespect. “At least my question wasn’t funny,” I said coldly, taking a step forward. “Move out of my way.” Her smirk widened as though she found my frustration amusing. “Why were you poking around yesterday?” she asked, her tone casual but laced with accusation. Her words stopped me in my tracks, confusion flashing across my face. “What?” “You heard me,” she said, leaning against the doorframe. “Why were you poking into things that don’t concern you?” I stared at her, my brows furrowed. What was she talking about? “I don’t have a clue what you mean,” I said slowly, but my patience was wearing thin. “And I don’t care. Get out of my way.” Ash p
