I was busy on my laptop when Adam knocked. I mindlinked him to come in and judging from the expression on his face, he had news.

He sat on the chair opposite to mine and my eyes caught the disarranged books on the side of the desk and my mind sauntered back to Nadine being on that desk but I tried to wave off the thought and pay attention to what Adam began to say.
