108: Almost Caught

I kept tossing restlessly on my bed. Kai hadn't come for dinner and Sara was at her friend's party, having the moment of her life after she took her time in dressing up. I was happy to see her so excited at her first time going to a party.

My insides kept squirming as things had gone between Kai and me.

I knew I should already start giving thought to my return to Crescent Valley, what and how to settle down if my apartment was still in good shape.

But instead, the thought of Kai failing his city took over my mind. He had taken my wish of going back to my world over saving the entire people in Eden City.

My eyes traced the ceiling and stuck aimlessly at the dark chandelier whose glass light vases blinked with the ray of light hitting it from the bedside lamp.

If he was going to be so strong-willed in taking me back to my world, he was surely going to get into a lot of trouble.
