Loki’s POV

My brain is still wide awake, and my eyes are gauging out of insomnia and lack of sleep for the past few days.

Hell, fuck! I could barely—no, I could not sleep, knowing the woman was just a fly sheet away behind me.

The chains on my hands were incessantly moving, which showed that she was still probably outside of the tent, still awake like me. Besides, she wouldn’t do anything stupid knowing about the detrimental effects of silverbane shackles on her foot. I then tried to shut my eyes to sleep, but gradually resigned to that thought when I couldn’t stop thinking about the fucking woman behind my back.

The woman was gutsy, and I knew she could outsmart me if I wasn’t thorough enough to be vigilant. She was also fast and strong-willed enough to fight me if she had to. But then again, it restricted her from the spell and threat of silverbane that were activated to weaken her powers. Hell, she was so obstinate about being in her wet clothes despite the repercussions of catchin

Lia's POVThe way from Autumn Breeze to Moon Valley was quite long. As I looked outside the window of the car, my eyes were focused on the magnificent view of the forest. Compared to Autumn Breeze, the vegetation and trees here were denser. The magnificent view was very pleasing to my inner wolf. It must have been magical to explore this on foot. I feel jealous of the members of this pack! My eyes went to Thea, my Beta when she groaned. When I looked at her, her eyes were closed and it was as if she was uncomfortable with the long ride. I smiled. Thea was really not in the mood."Damn it, I'm tired of sitting for hours," she muttered under her breath. There was an obvious irritation plastered on her face. I had always seen her beautiful features but until now I was still amazed by how gorgeous she looked. Not because she was my best friend and constant companion, but as a woman who I appreciate. Despite that, there was an undeniable fact that she was someone that could not just be

Adrian's POV"Welcome to the formidable pack of Moon Valley, Alpha Lia." It was my Beta who welcomed the delegates of the other pack. All the while, I was still left so stunned next to him. I could not believe how crazy my heart had become because of another woman! She was not even Aria! How was that possible? "This is the Alpha of Moon Valley, Alpha Adrian," Beta Oscar introduced me to them. When her eyes went to me, I gulped so hard. Just that action and my insides were already reacting. I must have gone insane.I could not believe I would come to the point of feeling like this toward another woman. How come I was thinking of Alpha Lia as beautiful when I already had Aria, my Luna, my damn mate, literally beside me? I wanted to scold myself repeatedly for feeling this unacceptable emotion. It was already ruining my system and I did not like a bit of it.A man already mated thinking of another woman gorgeous? That did not add up at all! It was odd and I was sure even those who were

Loki's POVIt didn't take long when we finally arrived at Crescentsnow. The cold wind kissed my skin, making me shiver at some point. Truth be told I was sort of anxious the transaction might be jeopardized because we traveled by foot, however, the odds were in favor of me tonight. Sure, I was one lucky bastard because even the female shifter jived smoothly with the plan. Given that, it was too early to celebrate, nonetheless. "Where are you taking me?!" The shifter yelled, gnawing her teeth in rage now. "Now you're talking, huh? Just so you know you have no right to ask," I roared in a stern voice. The shifter tried to squirm free from my hold, eyes glinting defiantly as she grunted out, "Put me down now. Let me go, please." My soft laugh floated in the air. “You think your little outburst will keep me out from you, mi lady?” A growl ripped from her mouth, but before it could echo through the empty forest, one of my masculine arms snaked around her shoulder, holding her firmly

Loki's POVAfter a few more minutes, the time has come. "Ain't you supposed to welcome me with open arms?" Matis Monet bantered, lips pulled tight in a smug. I was sitting on a bench perched outside the packhouse, stood up, and met him. The latter was accompanied by two brawny and bulky men who I assumed were his bodyguards. "Where is she?" Matis questioned. "You will see her later. Show me the gold first." Matis sneered and shook his head vehemently. "My, my, look at this guy. You don't want to be outsmarted, do you?" "You bet. I just want to be sure that you won't scam me." Matis didn't say a word but instead gestured for his men to bring him the bag. One of them walked in and handed it to their boss. But as soon as he got it, Matis hurled the poor thing off of the ground, causing the precious metal to spread out. I squatted, picked it up, and quickly checked if the item was genuine. "These golds are freakin' real!" I exclaimed in glee. "Of course, it is, you idiot." Matis

Lia’s POV"Thank you for accommodating us," I told everyone, and after that, my eyes went to the alpha of Moon Valley. Seeing my eyes on him, he nodded his head in my direction.Deep inside, I felt how my wolf leaped in joy because of that mere interaction. It caused me to get distracted for a moment. Thankfully, someone talked to me."Are you sure your team wanted to go now? There is another day remaining from the agreed celebration," Ex-Beta Cassius asked me. He seemed apprehensive about the sudden announcement but there was really nothing that could stop us from going now.Smiling with finality, I nodded my head. "As much as we want to stay, we really need to go back to our pack. Autumn Breeze is vulnerable right now because as you can see, we have most of our skilled warriors here with us."The man nodded his head after hearing that from me. I was sure he understood my concern so well. It was actually one of my reasons why we really needed to go aside from our main goal."Right, I

Lia’s POVNot only did it shock me, but also, there was this seeding desire created by Eurydice. I knew it, we both wanted to know more about this fate cast upon us.How was that possible? That was what truly puzzled me. It was so hard to imagine and to swallow. I felt like it was too good to be true. Not in these millennia or any other lifetime. "Do you want me to continue?" the Elder asked me.Swallowing hard, I started nodding my head with conviction in my eyes.Gone was the hesitation about everything, I just want to know why Eurydice was leaping happily, saying that we were mated to a wolf who already found his fated Luna.“Werewolves like us have two spirits inside them; our spirit wolves and our own spirit. That is the reason why we can talk to our wolves like separate beings. They have their own mind and personalities. It was like having two different entities living inside one body.""Our own spirit, which holds our individuality and state of mind, was described as a human c

Loki’s POV"Don't worry, I'm here to save you," I told her, full of seriousness. But that only gained a laugh from her. From her looks, I knew she did not believe anything that I had said. She refused to acknowledge the very same person who put her in danger and I knew it was a normal reaction. The shifter scoffed and glared at me. "Don't fucking fool me! I know your kind!" she spat out madly. "I am serious. I really am here to help you so please believe me just this once. I know it is hard but I am serious about this. I... I just can't stomach what they are planning so I am doing this."Still, her eyes were wary of me. It was hard to believe and I get what she was feeling and yet, there was not much time."How am I supposed to believe you?! Do you think I'm a fool?" Her voice was like pointy daggers piercing through my conscience one by one. It made me sigh as I stepped closer. There was an immediate fear in her just of that simple action from me, making me really regretful."We ha

Cassie's POV The night was darker than normal nights. There was no presence of light because of the heavy clouds that were covering the moon and the stars. Seeing this, it would be the perfect time to sneak out. I was already so eager to get out but I still needed to do a couple of things for I knew I had to be careful. I had to make sure no one would see me leave the quarter of Adrian. Earlier that night, the eagerness reigned all over me. I was sighing deeply, as I poured a drop of the sleeping potion on the cups that I would be giving to the omegas around, including Adrian. The sleeping potion I got from Simon would let the drinker fall into a deep slumber. Hence, I could sneak out without anyone knowing.Holding the tray of juice that I made myself, I gave the still-awake omegas each of the cups with a fake smile plastered on my face."Thank you, Luna!" they exclaimed in glee and I only nodded while smiling as I watched them empty their cups.Sometimes, it was really hard to pr

Aria’s POV Three years later… “Blow the candles, mommy!” I smiled at my seven-year-old seeing her grin from ear to ear while holding my birthday cake. I pinched her rosy cheeks before taking a deep breath and puffing the candles. Cheers from the background roared. We were inside Alpha Axel and Luna Sheila’s house where I decided to celebrate my 23rd birthday. Aside from them and their equally cute daughter Krissy who was now playing with my daughter, I invited my close friends and family from Moon Valley to celebrate with us. There’s my mom who was busy handing the food to everyone. Meanwhile, Ash and his wife were having their sweet moments on the couch. He touched Thea’s growing bump. Like him, we couldn't wait to see the new addition to our family. Beside them was Beta Nick, who just found her mate, Klea, recently. Ahh…This is life. And yet, something still feels missing. “Have you heard from him?” It was the voice of Luna Sheila that brought me back from spacing out. “N

Aria's POVAs the light drains away, I found myself in the same spot over and over. The sky was like a canvas bearing a mixture of orange, red, and pink on its surface. I held to the bouquet of some white roses tighter. I couldn’t wait to give this to him. Finally, I reached the place. Slowly, I put down a bouquet of flowers on top of the elevated land. A cross was sitting on top of it. I remembered the words of Luna Sheila during the time I was still grieving his death. She said, “The pain of losing someone doesn’t go away. It would give you the same intensity regardless of the years that passed. You will just learn to cope with it.”Yes, I was coping. Under this grave was the memory of the person I lost in a blink of an eye. Tears started streaming down my face as I remembered him. I have always remembered him. Always and forever. A lone tear escaped my eyes. It’s been a year since I lost him. But until now, the pain was still in my heart. My face plastered a bitter smile. “Don’t

Nixon’s POV“Nixon…Nixon…Wake up…”The beautiful voice woke me up. When I opened my eyes, I was welcomed by a lush green valley. The scent of the fresh dew brought by the spring season was mixed with the cold, comforting breeze. I slowly lifted my eyelids and was welcomed by the blue sky doming above me. The sun was nowhere to be found but the whole place was bright and sunny. I got up slowly and scanned the place with my still narrowed eyes. Before I could ask myself where I was, the lovely voice that woke me up from slumber rang in my ears once again.“You are awake, my love. Welcome Elysian Fields,” she stated while plastering the most radiant smile I had seen in my life. The woman had wavy blonde hair and eyes as silvery yellow as the moon. Moreso, she was incredibly beautiful. The maiden was wearing a white knee-length tunic. Her shoulder was armed with a golden bow and arrow. And although her face can surely bewitch every male creature in the land, surprisingly, you will neve

Aria's POVAlpha Axel, and I along with Darkwood warriors, came on time to the Stone Valley where Stonewood Pack was situated. We came here with nothing but courage and faith. For some, this mission was a suicide. To come here with a small army was no match to the force Blade showed us the other night. We would not sugarcoat this reality. We would not be comforted by a lie that we would be able to win this battle by ourselves. We won’t but we would be sure to give them a hell of a fight. For Nixon’s sake. I came here to show Blade my true colors. He will now see that he shouldn't be underestimating someone like me, especially when I am a rare diamond in the rough. I am the only shifter of this land. I was far from the weak shifter he met and almost killed the first time. My life experience taught me greater things about my strength and capabilities. No one came aside from us and that gave me a bitter taste in my mouth. I still couldn’t believe that the people of Moon Valley, whom

Aria’s POV I was panting. I heard myself begging, pleading. But I couldn't get a hold of my words. They were drowning in the abyss of darkness. Hollowed and dreadful. I knew it was my voice. I sense the familiarity within its timbre and vibration.Inaudible it may seem, but slowly, it could be heard as I guessed about the words. Then, the things around me became clear. I could hear the rustling of the wind brushing against the leaves. The vast unfamiliar road was the first thing I saw. My dress glided with the wind. My hair followed suit. With this endless void, I saw his figure. The familiar figure which I yearned for so much.Nixon.Tears began to flow from my eyes. His back faced me. He was running. Running away from me.Why? Why would he run away from me?Didn't he suffer enough to be away from me? Didn't he wait for this day to come, to finally be with me?Then, why? Why is he running away from me?Frustratingly, I followed him. I ran and ran towards him."No. No, Nixon!" I shou

  • Take Me Back: The Alpha's Regret   Chapter 132

Aria’s POV It was hard to believe what just happened. In a blink of an eye, the alpha, who was revered for defeating the infamous Death Eater, was now lying on the grounding and feasting in his humiliating defeat. In this continent, everyone knew who Adrian Patterson was. Everyone knew the story of how he triumphed over his tyrannical father. It would forever be engraved in our history. And yet, it was hard to imagine that the same, glorious man who became well-known throughout the continent was defeated just like that. What could possibly go wrong for him to lose in such an important battle like this? “Because he lost you, Aria. You broke our bond with him for the second time. His wolf weakened when you rejected him last night,” Cleo stated inside my head. I bit my lower lip upon hearing that. It made me remember the time when my mother went to the Royal Cave Bar and implored me to go back to Moon Valley to strengthen Adrian’s wolf before his battle with the Death Eater. At t

Adrian’s POV"Do you like my grand entrance?" The man said that it made me almost lose my cool.Simon Walker... How dare he betray me and show himself here? How dare he show his face to the pack he chose to fucking betray?I groaned in so much anger as I looked at him with eyes that were ready to kill. Among the council, he was one of those I trusted! But look at this mutt gathering his weaklings of companions, trying to instigate war!The veins on my neck and my temple were already bulging, and I could feel how my resentment slowly enveloped my heart. Just the sight of this traitor made me livid.“What the hell do you want?” I questioned him, furious.Simon scoffed and smirked before he spoke, “You, Alpha Adrian. I want nothing but to beat your ass and witness how you will lose everything.”My ears twitched the moment I heard that. There was also gasping that was heard around right after. It was an obvious challenge to my throne. Seeing his irking smirk, I knew he wanted to fight an

Adrian's POVThere was an obvious fiasco in the meeting hall where we were gathered at that moment. Together with the councils, Aria was also present. We were currently discussing the aftermaths of Cassie’s schemes to Moon Valley. I could not deny that I was still very uncomfortable with her presence after what happened last night. I wanted to exclude myself from seeing her but this meeting only made me do what I didn’t want. How cruel fate was on me! I was bothered that she sat here with the council as if nothing pivotal happened a few hours ago. I mean, how could she act so naturally in front of everyone when she rejected me, her mate, coldheartedly last night? Groaning silently in my seat, I frowned. However, the more I saw how she was leading and speaking her ideas, the more I realized how deserving she was for the seat of Luna. Our council was right in choosing to believe in her. I could not deny that she was doing a great job. It was as if she was born to lead, a trait that c
