The long weekend was extra special because it coincided with two holidays. The first holiday occurred on Friday, while the second occurred on Sunday.
These were President's Day and National Defense Day, respectively. As a result, this holiday, along with Easter, is one of everyone's favorites every year. Every employee is also entitled to paid time off.
Avita and Patrick have already made plans for her to leave with Lucilla while Patrick returns to his hometown.
Avita was not in the mood to accompany Patrick this time. Her last visit to those folks was unpleasant, and she didn't want to ruin her good mood because of other people.
It was natural for them to look down on her since she was an orphan, but that didn't mean she deserved their hatred or anything else they could throw at her.
Patrick was the first to depart, and Avita bid him farewell. She didn't have to be concerned about him because he was driving back.
She received a call from Lucilla after she had sent him away, informing her that she was waiting for her outside. Since Lucilla had told her not to bring anything, Avita simply brought her expensive bag, which Patrick had purchased for her on her birthday last month, and packed a few items and money inside.
Patrick didn't forget to deposit some cash into her ORANGE MONEY, a phone-based payment system that allows users to send and receive money. And it’s VISA card allows the user to swipe anywhere and withdraw money.
Avita disliked using her bank card because of how hazardous the world was out there. Furthermore, her bank account was usually empty because she always cleared it and transferred funds to her savings account when she wasn't using it.
After double-checking that everything was in order, she exited the apartment and properly shut the door and screen door before descending the stairs to the first floor.
Avita encountered several neighbors, whom she greeted without pausing.
Avita never left her spectacles at home, no matter where she went. She didn't care about her image because, as a woman with a lover, she didn't have anyone to seduce outside her relationship.
When she left the complex, she noticed an unfamiliar black RANGE ROVER parked outside; however, she didn't have to guess who owned the car because only Lucilla was brave enough to use her name on her car number plates every time.
She was continuously flaunting herself, but she had every right to do so. What else can you do when your father is a billionaire and the children are instant millionaires from birth?
She came over to the car and expertly opened the door.
Lucilla was busy playing on her phone, but she didn't dismiss this difficult-to-crack acquaintance and greeted her kindly.
Lucilla drive away from the neighborhood, being chatty once more on the way.
"Before we leave for the airport, we'll stop by Sparrow shopping mall and pick up a few items. Just pick whatever you want, it's on me, and the rest we'll buy when we get there."
As she listened to Lucilla, Avita nodded her head. She was no longer going to resist Lucilla and instead would let her do whatever she wanted. It's not every day that a female friend allows you to choose whatever you want as if she were maintaining a mistress.
When they arrived at the shopping mall, Avita followed Lucilla, who was well-versed in its operations. Avita had seen this mall on social media and on television, but she had never visited it.
And it was all due to one problem: it was prohibitively expensive, and she didn't want to worry herself over it.
"Let's start with that shop and then move on to others!" Lucilla replied as she pointed to a cell phone store only a few meters away.
"Do you want to buy another phone?" she asked, pausing and looking at the other with some confusion in her eyes, “I believe it still looks brand new!"
"Ha ha ha," Lucilla laughed, hearing this cute friend act like way, “obviously, my phone is fine, but we're going there for you. We need to snap great shots when we arrive, and I'm not going to let you use that phone!"
Avita finally comprehended who Lucilla was referring to after hearing this. "It is still in good working condition!" she defended herself, her face flushed with embarrassment.
"It is, indeed. You do not have to throw it away. Keep it, but get a new one!" Lucilla felt like she was getting better at enticing others at this point.
In the end, Avita succumbed to the temptation.
Allowing Lucilla to buy her a new phone ensured that it would be nicer than one she could buy on her own, "fine. Do whatever you want, and just accept my gratitude."
Lucilla smiled; triumph written all over her face.
To be honest, she didn't feel exploited, or that Avita was pursuing her money.
Everyone wants money, but Avita prefers to work hard for it and never bothers people she knows about it. When it came to hustling, she wasn't timid or embarrassed, and someone like her deserves Lucilla's respect.
Despite Avita’s humble origins, her parents urged her to get to know Avita well.
"All right, let's go. And you have no right to reject me. I'm going to lose my face if you do so!"
Avita nodded and followed Lucilla's smug lead.
Lucilla wasn't a new face at the mall. She was more of a regular in this establishment, the type that shop owners adore.
When she walked into the phone shop, several salesmen surrounded her, but she didn't seem bothered.
Lucilla realized that if she asked Avita's opinion, the latter would choose something very cheap, which would not sit well with her.
So, she skipped Avita's advice and dashed to the section where they were selling some of the top-selling models from the big phone companies.
"Which model of phone do you want this time, Ms. Larson?" A saleswoman in her twenties inquired politely.
Lucilla shopped around and settled on a stylish gold Samsung Galaxy ZT137 Flip phone with 132GB storage capacity, which is water resistant and is popular among women.
In terms of price, it was being sold for only OWD 18,500, which was pretty reasonable for someone like her but quite the opposite for Avita. That's why she didn't bother inviting Avita to join in.
"I'll take that one!"
Hearing this, the saleslady swiftly withdrew and went into the office, emerging later with a package containing a new and sealed phone. All Avita had to do was present her national ID to the salesperson in order for the phone to be registered in her name.Lucilla's move surprised her because she hadn't expected her to buy her such an expensive phone. She'll have to roam around with pepper spray to ward off robbers with a phone like this.Lucilla purchased the phone and escorted Avita out of the store. Avita was zoning out while holding the bag containing the phone.Lucilla didn't spend much time at the shopping mall and only went to three more stores, where she bought a few dresses and cosmetics worth thousands of Drynis. After finishing their preparations, Lucilla and Avita exited the shopping, and Lucilla drove to the airport, where the rest of the group awaited them. The girls were flying on a private plane owned by Lucilla's family for this trip, and Avita was astonished to learn
Lucilla had already prepared everything upon her arrival, so the girls didn't have to rush around helplessly while the guys assigned to Lucilla dealt with everything.Avita gazed out the window as she was driven to this unknown location. The girls traveled on their outing to Ghabina, one of Sinazolengwe's biggest and famous cities.Ghabina was highly known for its waterfalls and also has one of the world's greatest wonders. The reason for this was that Ghabina was near the edge of the continent, with the ocean on the other side. All of this knowledge, Avita learned from the girls who appeared to have visited this location before they met.Lucilla actually demonstrated what it feels like to be wealthy. The girls were going to stay at the number one hotel in Ghabina, a five-star hotel.Avita didn't want to overburden herself because she knew that staying in this hotel for only one night would give her a headache. As a result, the less she knew, the better for her thinking.Everyone had
Avita entered the complex with mixed feelings, greeting her neighbors halfheartedly as she made her way to Block B, where her apartment was located.Patrick's car hadn't come yet, which was understandable given that she had spoken with him earlier when she got to the airport and he was still on the road and on his way back. The flat had not been cleaned in a long time, so Avita began cleaning, which distracted her from what Lucilla had said to her.Avita was already in a good mood when Patrick returned home, and the two who hadn't seen each other in a few days embraced each other firmly as if they meant it.Patrick kissed the forehead of his girlfriend, whom he had meticulously pursued for several months before they began dating, and said, "I will wash up first, then we can have some pizza."Avita responded with a shy smile and a nod of her head.Patrick whistled as he walked to the restroom, and Avita couldn't help but cast a passionate glance at the man she'd been with for almost tw
".....Ummm, ok, okay, I get it. I'll get back to you as soon as I hear from my spouse... Yes, please, and thank you very much."A scarlet overflowing dress that swept the floor, diamonds gleaming on the person, and expensive taste in furniture were all enough to demonstrate how wealthy the person on the phone was.She exited the other living room, where she had been, and strolled neatly to the sitting area. After a short walk that was not boring because the walls were adorned with many pricey paintings that were hung there.Flower pots with pricey flowers and plants in various areas of the rooms made the entire house look brighter and homier.“Hey!!!!!!!!! Give me my phone right now!" cried a teenage girl wearing a short jumpsuit at the younger lad who was attempting to flee from her.The lady in red simply shook her head helplessly as she observed this familiar act that these two enjoyed performing every now and again."Catch me if you can!" exclaimed the younger lad as he continued
Have you ever had the feeling that something is going on but you can't figure out what it is?She'd felt this foreboding dread for a week and was becoming a little spooked out.Avita was in a good mood, especially after coming from Sinazolengwe, where she had a good time and made a lot of money. She not only purchased an expensive phone, but she also expanded her limited wardrobe with new clothes, jewelry, bags, and shoes. She also took a free vacation to another nation, where she did not spend a single penny.Avita also benefited from free airtime and an additional OWD 5,000 as recompense for being unable to plait people over the long weekend. Her perks for this long weekend were more than OWD 100,000, and it was the first time she had spent so much money on herself in such a short period. She had already spent thousands of Drynis on tuition, which did not count. Avita was delighted as a result of the trip, and everyone at work noticed. However, something was off from Monday to Frida
"Mommy, when is elder sister coming home?" Felix asked of his mother, who was busy cooking in the kitchen.Felicia smiled at her kid and replied, "She'll be here in a minute. She went to meet her pal.""Is elder sister's friend that poor girl?" Felix pinched his little nose and asked his mother.Felicia glanced at her son helplessly and said, "You can't label people like that, son. You must not do this to anyone, rich or poor. Use the names we have.""But that doesn't stop her from being poor!" He snorted as he remembered how poor this person was.Felicia set down the wooden spoon and approached her son, asking, "Are you looking down on the poor, son?""Umphh, so what if I am?""Does this mean you look down on Mommy as well?" Felicia asked, her tone offended.Felix was terrified when he heard this and questioned why his mother was suddenly acting this way, "Mommy, what are you saying? I will never belittle you! You are not like her! Mrs. Larson, the billionaire's wife, you are famous.
"This is where we live and where I grew up, darling. However, now that I am an adult, I live outside. I have my own personal area. I prefer more independence, so it's just my father, mother, and younger siblings here. My older brother also lives outside, but we all get together once a week for a family gathering."Lucilla didn't hold back when it came to telling Avita about her family, and the curious Avita began to listen intently. She had forgotten she had been fired the day before, and even if she dwelled on it, nothing would change."The mansion has twenty bedrooms in total, and there is................................."The more Avita listened, the worse her headache became. What would a family of seven need twenty bedrooms for? This didn't even cover the villa in the back where the maids stayed. When she compared this level of luxury to her one-bedroom apartment, she suddenly remembered what the peacock had told her.'Is being wealthy such a tremendous privilege?'As they made t
MINUTES LATER.For a while, two pairs of eyes were fixed on each other, and the mood in the room had turned tight.Badum badumHer heart was racy, and it was pounding furiously.'How come those eyes look familiar?''When I look at her up close, she reminds me of someone, but who?'Felicia couldn't help but wonder as she glanced at Avita, whom she was meeting for the second time since her hospitalization."Mommy!" exclaimed a sweet female voice. This brought her back to the present."Umm, uh, sorry about that!" Felicia apologized gently as she averted her sight from Avita, who was staring at her with interest.Lucilla, who was about to suffocate as a result of this small drama, was relieved as well, but she couldn't help but wonder what her mother was thinking at that brief moment.Avita appeared to resurrect as well, and she smiled shyly at the middle-aged lady, who appeared to be in her thirties rather than forties and added, "It's okay. You are a stunning woman."Avita couldn't stop
