Running Away

"Now, I don't think I want to deal with her in such a state," Laura muttered under her breath as she watched her approach.

Tim turned around and said, "Jason, were you expecting her?"

Jason's eyes narrowed as he replied, "No, I was not; I have no idea what she is doing here right now."

"It looks like you guys have grown all close and cozy," she said upon reaching them.

Tim had also stopped and decided to leave later, as he didn't really trust the murdurous look in her eyes.

"What are you doing here, Gift?" Jason asked, adding, "It's late, if you didn't notice."

Gift laughed hysterically as she replied, "Yes, wow, is something going on here that I'm not supposed to witness?" Gift asked.

"That's nonsense, and you know it, Gift; whatever you have to say can wait till morning," Jason replied.
