Playing Games

The door opened, and Lily walked in, her brows raised as she asked, "Whose time is up?"

Laura's mouth hung open at the sight of Lily, more from how she looked than from the fact that she had heard her last statement.

"Uhm, it's nothing," Laura stuttered, getting up quickly and moving to Lily's side, extending her hand to her.

She hugged her and then escorted her to have her sit at the desk.

"You would have told me you wanted to see me, and I would have come straight to the house; you don't so well. Is something wrong?" Laura asked.

Tina and Audrey were awfully quiet from where they stood. Laura looked back and saw the look on their faces. She raised a brow at them, but they only shook their heads.

"Audrey, get me water to drink, please," Lily stated.

"Okay, Mrs. Whites, right away," Audrey answered, and she stepped out of the office.

"Lily, what is wrong? You look like you should be at home and in bed," Laura said again.
