When he met Andre coming out of Creighton’s office building the day before, he had the chance to speak with him, and understood more about the feelings the Ashfords’ had toward the man. Andre was in a fit about Sabrina’s career and told him that once they were married, she would be quitting the whole idea of playing dress up for a living. As his wife, she would be expected to behave a certain way and his mother would teach her how to be a lady of social acceptance. He was determined to get the country girl washed out of the woman he planned on marrying by the end of the month.

The idea, not to mention the conversation, didn’t set well with Giovanni. When he came to France to see his sister, and to look into the woman claiming to be the mother of Silvano’s child, he never expected to find Sabrina.
