Chapter 10

She pushed and struggled to avoid Chris from carrying her. She didn't want this dirty man to touch her,she didn't want it. Fortune who saw this felt like she had seen enough, clearly Asia didn't want to see this man here. Before she could take a step, Zack looked at her and said " let's give them time to talk about their issues. am I allowed to take you out for breakfast?". Anyway since Asia's cousin has said so, she will do as he says. Chris had carried Asia and turned to ask "where's her room and do you have any first aid kit?" fortune pointed in the direction of Asia's room and quickly ran to get the first aid kit and gave it to Chris. looking at her friend who didn't want to see the man in front of her and even turned her back, she was taken aback. how can such a cheerful girl get so angry, she went to the bed side near her friend "Asia, if you need anything, just give me a call, your cousin and I will have breakfast outside". Fortune didn't give her friend  time to respond and went out. " Asia don't act like this,why choose to misunderstand me, couldn't you not have given me a chance to explain myself before concluding anything?" Chris asked with a heavy voice "you even hate me for no reason just because of your wrong conclusions". Asia who was filled with anger abruptly turned and looked at him fiercely " how dare you talk about misunderstandings here, I heard that woman's voice clearly!!. Asia vividly remembers what happened. They had always liked each other but non of them confessed any feelings towards the other. Three years before Asia could graduate from high school, Chris gave her the news that he would be traveling abroad for school. He told her he would come back for her and that they would make a future of their own. He also said he would always communicate with her. when he left, indeed they would communicate frequently but two weeks later, he suddenly went quiet, Asia tried to get in touch with him but there was no response. She was so depressed that she would try to get a hold of him on a daily basis but to no avail. Almost a year went by without hearing from him till one day, her phone rang, looking at the number that called, it was a foreign number, Asia thought of who would call her from abroad and guessed it was one of her relatives. when she answered and heard the familiar voice that she yearned to hear, she was flabbergasted. All her grievances poured out and she choked on her voice  "is this when you have remembered me?". Chris was at a loss"no Asia, listen to me first". "alright then, care to tell me why you suddenly went quiet?" Chris sighed on the other end and paused for some seconds, before he could give her an answer, the lady seated on the next table opposite spoke out loudly  "baby I miss you so much and I can't wait to be in your arms, only you can make me feel like a real woman" Chris happened to have been in one of the VIP rooms of which each room in the restaurant had only two tables. He had come here for lunch with his mother and chose one of the private rooms because the main hall had alot of people and his mother wasn't comfortable. when they settled, his mother happened to go out to make a few phone calls when he decided to call her. This woman seated on the other table had no manners saying such dirty words in front of others.                       Asia who was on the other side was stunned as tears rolled down her cheek subconsciously. "Chris you should have told me you found someone else instead of ignoring me like a thorn in your path". "no, no Asia listen to me, it's not what you think, actually that woman, before he could finish his statement, Asia spoke out again "we can't force love no matter how much we try, if it's not meant to be then it's not. I wish you all the best" he heard a beep beep sound realizing that the call had ended. He tried calling her again but she never answered, he sent her mail's but she never responded. Despite being ignored, Chris never stopped leaving her messages, informing her on what he was planning on doing, how his studies were going and everything but she never opened any of his messages. This time, he had to come back and explain things clearly in person. "Asia if you just keep quiet and listen to my explanation, you will understand everything, years back you did the same thing of not allowing me to explain".  " just stop it! stop! Asia trembled with anger . Seeing this stubborn girl behave crazily, Chris went to her side and blocked her mouth using his huge palm which blocked Asia's words from being heard. He didn't come all the way just to be cut off by this little girl, he was going to make sure she hears everything he had to say. " I got involved in a terrible accident, doctors where not sure I would survive, being a foreigner and having lost my phone during the accident, it was difficult for them to contact my relatives. I was in a comma for almost a year. my parents had been informed about it 6 months after the accident.
