Alpha Lawrence finding out Xander and I were mated kept me on my toes for the last two weeks. I wanted to call Jace, but my phone had a low battery, and I couldn’t find time to charge it. I didn’t want to leave it alone while charging, as someone could see it.

I was already staying in Xander’s room, but my phone was still under the bed in the guest room they assigned to me. To be honest, I had no idea if Xander had placed a camera in his room, so I hesitated to bring the phone with me.

And then, I hadn’t had enough time to be alone.

During the day, I would be in training, or he would take me around the territory—sometimes just us, sometimes with the Alpha.

So, I had no idea how Jace took the news. A part of me was still hoping the Alpha didn’t tell him because the last thing I wanted was for them to barge in here. But if Jace had known, I hope he knew that nothing would change in my plan, regardless of whether Xander was my mate or not.
