TIMELESS: MOONBOUND CHAPTER 1
THE MOON
AILEEN’S POV
“In the last three days, odd creatures have been seen wandering around the edges of the Red Bloom forest and three people have also gone missing. The government has asked every citizen to avoid the forest and if possible, the forest will be barricaded….” The television went out just before the news anchor could finish her words and everyone, by everyone, I mean the two people, other than me who was in the same place as me glared at me.
“What the hell did you do that for, Aileen?” Lyon, a fellow coworker yelled at me as I switched off the television and literally broke the remote in my hands, I was shocked, but I didn’t show it. I glanced at Lyon who shrunk under my gaze and his behind Berry who was surprised at my insane strength.
“What the heck is wrong with you these days? You’ve been cranky, odd and you just fucking broke the remote control! That’s the fifth remote control you have broken in the past two days!” Lyon mumbled from behind Berry who was still gaping at me. She wasn’t supposed to be shocked because just like Lyon said, I have destroyed five remote controls.
“Are you okay? Are you scared cause of the news? The forest is the way to your house isn’t it? Would you like to stay with me for a while, I can…”
“No need, I’m leaving by myself.” Neither of them got an answer from me as I threw the pieces of the broken remote into the trash can, took my bags and walked out of the door. The moment I opened the door, the door knob broke and with a frustrated groan, I threw the knob on the door and walked out of the café. I could hear their voices speaking about me and how grumpy I had been this week, I knew I was grumpy, but as for the reason why? I have no idea.
I stopped walking and raised my head to stare at the sky, “It’s a full moon tonight.” The moon shone with so much brilliance and purity, it called me and I longed to stay right next to it. I stretched my hands forward and tried to grasp the brilliance but everything just seemed to slip past me. I had always had a certain and deep fascination with the moon since when I was a kid.
I sighed and put my hands down to continue walking.
“She looks lonely, mommy.” Someone said from behind me and I chuckled. Lonely, yeah right. I walked faster as the mother asked the child to keep quiet, I wasn’t interested in hearing someone else’s conversation, even though I never fully intended to hear it, my ears were just sensitive.
“Huh?” A whoosh sounded right next to me and I raised my head. I had actually walked all the way to the forest. I bit my lips and turned around to leave when I heard a loud thud, it sounded like someone had fallen. I frowned, took a step back, and another, until I was a few feet away from the entrance of the forest but, a guttural growl and shrill screams echoed in the forest, I heard it.
I froze; more like my feet wasn’t able to move because I was scared. The growls went on for about a few minutes before it completely stopped, the screams stopped as well. Everything became silent, and I deemed it okay to move and I quickly moved around to run but a hands suddenly sneaked around my waist and a low voice growled in my ears, “Oi, what do we have here? A woman who delivered herself to me, I think you’ll taste nice.”
I gasped, my eyes widened and my body began to tremble. His scent… It wasn’t like the smell of other humans; it was unlike something I have never smelled before. I could not quite describe it, but it was… not good.
“Why are you trembling so much?” The man asked, and he removed his cold hands from my waist and then his cold fingers touched my chin, I shivered. He chuckled and when I raised my head to look at him, green silted eyes stared back at me. In shock and maybe fear, I pushed him away from me. Due to the force at which I used to push him, he flew back a few feet away from me and crashed into a wall, a sickening crack filled the air.
I didn’t wait, I started running. However, I made a mistake. You see, I never had a good sense of direction, and since I was panicking it was even worse. Instead of running away from the forest, I ran into the forest and went deeper into the abyss. Huge mistake, right?
I could hear the man stand up and he coughed out blood, I knew that the hit could have shattered his organs but he didn’t even stop to rest and he started to pursue me! That guy isn’t human! Well, his green snake like eyes could have convinced me that he wasn’t human and his speed as well, he was right behind me!
I panted as I ran through the forest, from the corner of my eyes, I could see the shadowy creature that followed me or rather, pursued me so relentlessly.
“Fuck, fuck!” I cursed myself for being so stupid but what could I do now? I slipped, slipped down a slope and a soundless scream escaped from my mouth as I rolled down. I gasped when a sharp pain shot through my legs, my left foot was sprained.
“No shit.” I groaned and grasped the tree beside me. Why isn’t anything going my way? Why is everything fucking giving me an issue these days? I stood up slowly, I didn’t make a sound and I dragged myself towards the east side of the forest but as I slowly moved, a rustle sounded to my left. Was it him? Has he gotten here so quickly?
No, it’s not him. The smell was different from the rotten smell that guy emitted, and apart from that, the area smelled like death. Death? Yeah, that’s the best description of the smell. The rustling continued, and I was curious, curious to know what the smell was so I looked back and on the ground, there were three highschoolers on the ground, dead.
Their bags were so far from their body and half of their body was torn and strewn about the field. Their intestines were missing and half of their limbs had been torn off from their body, and it was nowhere in sight. I gulped and looked a little bit away from the children and the first thing that greeted me was silver eyes, sliver eyes which reminded me of one thing… The moon.
I signed in relief and was about to ask the man for help but the more I looked into his silver eyes, I could feel fire coursing through my heart. My heart started thumping against my ribcage and a tingle went through my spine, my eyes began to hurt and everything I saw was bright. My icy blue eyes glowed and I placed my hands over my chest in pain.
“I… It hurts.” I whimpered and slowly fell to the ground. I could see the man walking towards me and I could also feel him take me in his cool arms. His strong arms cooled my burning skin and gradually, my eyes went dark. Even though my skin didn’t burn anymore, my heart felt painful and extremely hot. It was hot and painful, just like that day.

“No… No, no, no!” I stood up abruptly from my bed and fell to the ground. I panted heavily and looked around, surprised to find myself in my room. I wanted to stand up but my legs felt very weak, and my vision was blurry. What happened? The last thing I remembered was seeing those children on the ground, silver eyes, pain and then… silver eyes? How could there be silver…
“Ugh!” My chest caught on fire again. The feeling had returned and this time, I felt worse. A sharp pain went through my head and I buried my head in my lap to lay in a fetal position. It was so painful.

JOSHUA’S POV
“How did she disappear?” Xander queried, his eyes was fixed on the empty clearing in front of him. I shrugged; I still felt the feel of her hot skin in my own arms. She was so hot that even I was scared that something might happen to her. I knelt down to examine the field, the wolves behind me howled in response to my movements.
“Go back.” My wolves went back immediately. I scooped up a bit of the sand and sniffed it. It smelled of power, electrical power that could easily destroy a person. I glanced at Xander and the burnt patch of his skin, it wasn’t healing.
“She hit you?” Xander nodded and replied, “She got scared and threw me against the wall with her powers, it didn’t seem like she could control it but she wasn’t surprised, as if she expected her powers.”
“Hm… I see.” I hummed deeply and nodded, “Look for her.”
“Why?” Xander asked me and I shrugged, “Why? Cause she is my mate.”
It had been a week since Aileen had stopped going to work. Her coworkers, Berry and Lyon were able to locate her house and they went to visit her. “Aileen! Aileen, are you in there?” Berry knocked on Aileen’s door frantically but no one answered. The entire house was silent. It was as if nobody was in the house. “Excuse me ma’am, do you know if this tenant is around? I’ve been knocking on her door for too long. It’s been some time since we last saw her come to work so we thought of coming here…” Berry trailed off when they heard thuds coming from inside the house. Berry bowed to thank the woman even though she didn’t reply them and she continued to knock on the door. AILEEN’S POV I could hear Berry’s voice outside the door; I could hear the concern that dripped beautifully from her voice. It was nice, having someone to care about you but I could not go outside to tell her that I was okay, that I was fine. My ears perked up when she knocked once more, with every movements she made,
Beautiful and ethereal, that is what they called him, a man with silver eyes. A rare silver eyed Alpha, one with the power to control the world and protect his people, which is his prophecy. In the land of humans, everything was new to him, but he adapted. That has always been his strength, adapting to whatever situation he saw himself in. As he walked under the embrace of the moon, people who passed by stared at him. How could they not? He looked different, unique even. JOSHUA’S POV I paid no attention to the people staring at me as I walked to the mansion, the mansion where I would stay until I am done with my mission in the human world. I would still have to go to my world sometimes in order to check the paperwork and put some things in order but most of my time will be spent here. But, the appearance of my mate might change things. The evening breeze carried the scent of so many people; humans, birds, and even the smell of fuel. It all mixed into one but I could still remember h
FLASHBACK AILEEN’S POV “Are you saying that I need to eat this meat? It is raw!” I complained and glanced at the meat on the table, I wanted to retch but it looked so appetizing. “You’re drooling.” The man said to me and I immediately raised my hands to clean my mouth and sure enough, there was saliva running down my cheeks. I glared at him and stubbornly pursed my lips and looked away; I wasn’t going to eat raw food. Food that was still oozing blood is raw! The man sighed and sat down on the other chair that was close to the seat I was supposed to sit on, he crossed his long legs and stared at me; hard. It was cold and judging. The playful demeanor I had seen was completely gone and the person in front of me was a brand new person, a brand new character. “Miss, you might not know this, but there are other people out there who are like you, I am one as well. Since I was born as a werewolf, I don’t know how it feels to suddenly start eating raw meat or any of that and I know that yo
AUTHOR’S POV It was already the sixth day since Aileen began her transformation, today, she woke up from her slumber and the last part of her transformation began. Aileen opened her mouth to scream, however, she could not. Her breath had been knocked out of her. Aileen’s skin stretched and rippled, as though it were a canvas being violently stretched and painted anew. Her bones cracked and shifted beneath her flesh, producing sickening, bone chilling sounds. She gasped for breath, her lungs struggling to adapt to the changing shape of her ribcage. Her open and once human eyes burned with a cold intensity as they transformed between icy blue and silver, and matured into the predatory orbs of a fully matured werewolf. Clumps of hair fell to the ground as soon as they grew, and was replaced by a thick pelt of fur that sprouted from her skin. Each strand erupted like hot needles piercing her flesh. Aileen’s howls of pain filled the room, and droplets of sweat mixed with crimson beads o
JOSHUA’S POV “It could affect her in the future, not all the power in the seal was removed and she could have issues controlling her power in the future.” I murmured and Xander nodded. “Traces of the Seal still linger on her and like you said, it could possibly affect her in the future. However, this might be a good thing. If we are able to determine the origin of the seal while it is still on her, we will be able to remove the rest of its traces. But for now, Miss Aileen will have to live with the rest of the seal with you there to protect her when the need arises.” Ryan walked forward to cover Aileen with the blanket. When he went to her, however, he saw that she was wide awake and was staring at him with her blue eyes. In shock, Ryan stepped back but he soon composed himself very quickly, the surprise that was etched on his face had disappeared. “Miss Aileen, you’re awake.” Immediately he said that, I stood up from my chair and went to her side, her drowsy eyes turned to me and I
“Well, I believe Xander has explained some things to you when he first came to visit you? I didn’t want to come myself so I would not overwhelm you with loads of information. I didn’t expect that you would be able to transform so quickly.” Silver eyes said to me as he dragged his chair to sit so close to me and looked me directly in the eye. “You still don’t know how to control your appendages; they’re wagging like you just finished having a treat.” Silver eyes teased me and I blushed, that was foul! How could he compare me to a dog, I was a wolf! A beautiful silver wolf! I had noticed my silver tail when I was eating earlier but I just chose not to mention it. “That day, at the forest, when we first met, you suddenly disappeared. Like, you vanished without any trace; it took a long time before Xander was able to find you. If it wasn’t for the scent you left on the both of us, we would have been unable to track you.” “Okay… I understand but what does that have to do with what is hap
“Can you sense it? Think of the power that coils itself around your heart as a vine, yet this vine does not have thorns." Joshua’s voice swept around my ears like a hungry flame, it was deep and controlling. I gave a satisfied nod; I could, in fact, perceive the force that he was referring to. It pulsated and flowed around my heart like a fish swimming around a pond. It gave out an icy and peaceful vibe, as if it were something that was not meant to be touched. "Take command of it and shape it according to your whims, for your power was created specifically for you to exercise command over it. If you allow it to run uncontrolled, it could put the people around you in risk and, as a result, hurt you as well." Joshua tapped me on the shoulders with the handle of the knife that he was holding. It was a bit uncomfortable though, the cold knife he held, if it was before, I would have welcomed the coldness, but I didn’t anymore. But still, I followed what he said. ‘Tried’ to follow would
AUTHOR’S POV Two days after Joshua and the rest had the conversation, Joshua offered to take Aileen out as she had been in the mansion for a couple of days, without having seen anyone apart from them. "Are you all set?" Joshua asked as he got off the couch, moved closer to her, and offered his hand to her to hold. Aileen placed her hands in Joshua's while she eyed him, but he only smiled and proceeded to twirl one of his fingers around her palm before completely encasing her’s with his large hands. Aileen had seen that Joshua has a strange fondness for holding her hands, and she has to admit that she finds this endearing. "Where are you guys heading to?" Xander inquired, and Ryan also displayed an expression of interest, regarding the plans that they had together. Joshua grinned as he gazed up at the enormous ceilings and said with a chuckle to Aileen, "Since we've been stuck in here for a while, I'd like to take her on a tour of the city. We won't stay out for too long." Aileen's a
CHAPTER 109 {THE END} AUTHOR'S POV “Luna Aileen is still bleeding, bring in some hot water and fresh towels. Quickly!” Servants scurried about in the corridors and hallways as Aileen’s screams of pain rang throughout the entire place. Her curses were also loud enough for people to hear, if she wasn't in a critical condition, it would have been funny. Meanwhile, Joshua was pacing in front of the doors, the smell of his mate's blood was making him more agitated. Joshua had changed, his hair had grown a bit longer, his eyes lighter. He had a half crescent moon on his forehead, a symbol of the Protector. He looked a bit mature now but everyone could feel the nervousness and pain rolling off of him in waves. He winced when Aileen let out another string of curses. “If you impregnate me again, Joshua, I'll make sure to cut it off! I'll castrate you! Arghh!” “Push, Luna Aileen, I can see its head.” “Urghhh!” Aileen let out another scream and in the span of some hours, the cries of ne
Chapter 108AILEEN'S POV “Years ago, my parents were killed by the Dark Realm Lord, just before Sera the Dark Realm was destroyed. I was already a child who had knowledge of those things so I wanted revenge. I joined Sera as a spy, I and my right hand man, Osris started to look for how to get revenge since his parents were also killed and I came across a prophecy. It talked about you and your powers. I don't exactly remember how it goes but it says that anyone who controls your powers would be able to control the werewolf world. I was scared that Sera would find out and she would want to use you. I tried to kill you, as you know. I changed all the books containing your powers so she didn't find out. A lot of people listened to me instead of her. So yeah, all along, I only wanted to kill you because I didn't want you to fall into Sera's hands.” Terry explained as he took us to the runes. I didn't say a word but I didn't think I expected this. I always thought that he was the bad gu
Chapter 107 JOSHUA'S POV “Ugh…” I let out a cry of agony. My chest, along with the rest of my body, was in such excruciating pain that it seemed like I was on fire. Sera had given me something, but she did not disclose the name of the substance; however, it was poisonous. My intestines felt as if they were being gnawed on by a million ants, in addition to the sensation that I was on fire myself. In the beginning, I was cold, but as time went on, the temperature rose so much and then afterwards, I was unable to feel my arms and legs. After then, my eyes turned completely dark, and I was unable to see anything. In spite of the fact that I waited for my hearing to go out as well, the sound was still excruciatingly loud, and the beating that came from the room next to mine was a form of torment. Those three women who came with Aileen were being punished by Sera. To my great relief, Xander and Berry were not present, and neither were the townspeople. So at least, some people were
Chapter 106 AILEEN'S POV“Aileen, Sera, she... she..." Both Elysia and Lia came to a complete stop directly across from us, their eyes widened in surprise. They came to issue a warning to us about Sera, but it was too late; Sera had already become aware of our presence. "Oh, what? Does all of you here have the same goal in mind? I was taken aback when I discovered that the woman who had attempted to kill me and then spied on us was actually with Aileen, Elysia, is it? I have been pondering on many ways in which I could trick you and convince you to join my side. Sadly, I will have to put an end to your life at some point, since you're with Aileen. I hope you don't take offence to that.” Sera gave a shrug and started walking in our direction. Instantaneously, my eyes sharpened, and I moved directly in front of Joshua, shielding him. However, she only smiled at us and stopped some meters away from us. “The fact that you came to my territory and attempted to kidnap my man, assassinat
CHAPTER 105 AUTHOR'S POV Darkness lightened up as the moon rose higher and higher into the sky, and its brilliance descended upon the village below as if there were no problems at all. Owls hooted, insects chirped, and birds sang in the night sky. There was a distinct musical composition that resulted from the sounds, which people would either find irritating or agreeable to the ears. It wasn't just that, though. The villagers gradually emerged from their condition of being puppets, staring at their walls in a state of amazement and wondering what they had been doing when they were in this state. Some of them were overcome with feelings of guilt as they recalled the events that had transpired over the preceding few days. All of these were observed by the pairs of icy blue eyes that were standing in the shadows and watching them with a triumphant smirk on their faces. As they emerged from the shadows, their hair, which was a metallic silver colour, glistened in the wind. They were
CHAPTER 104AILEEN’S POVWhen I told Elysia and the others about what I had seen the following morning, I made sure to include everything that I had seen, without leaving anything out. For a little period, everyone was silent, and I could see that Elysia was attempting to persuade herself to reveal something to us. On the other hand, I did not speak up because I believed that if it was something that she couldn't readily say, then it had to be really horrible.“The fact of the matter is that the three of us were born in the same way that Sera acquired her abilities.” While Elysia began, I, along with Berry and Xander, was unable to comprehend what she was saying."Could you elaborate on your words just a little bit? I'm not entirely sure I understand what you're talking about."All right... When Sera gained her abilities, we were in the castle. You have to understand that our parents were taken captive many years before the conflict broke out. The master of the dark realm was involved
Chapter 103AUTHOR'S POV "Terry, it has been about a month since you have been looking for that woman; why are you still looking for her? It's too late; she's gone, for good!” Sera yelled, her eyes widened in rage. One more debate had been begun by them regarding Aileen and whether or not she had passed away. "Have you located her dead body?" Terry switched his attention to Sera, his eyes narrowing and his lips pressing against one other as he did so. “We did not, but I'm telling you that..." "In the event that we did not find her body, do you not believe that your presumptions are a little distant from the truth? Literally, she vanished before our own eyes! In addition, we have not been able to locate her body since that time; what further leads you to conclude that she is not alive? It is your recklessness that will ultimately lead to your demise, Sera.” Sera scoffed, “Fine! I admit that I'm a bit reckless. You, on the other hand? How could you possibly believe that I am unawar
"He's fine now, isn't he? In addition to that, we were successful in deceiving Sera into believing that the bug is still inside of him. Whew, it was a very fortunate escape." As she leaned against the wall, Elysia closed her eyes and sagged forward. She looked like she was about to fall just from standing for too long. Not only did she have dark circles and eyebags around her slanted eyes, but all of us did as well. "I am relieved that it was successful. So what comes next?" Concerned and hesitant, Xander asked with a low voice. Xander was typically so talkative, so I had never seen him exhibiting such a low profile. “We came to the conclusion that he would be the covert agent inside the manor. In light of the fact that the both of us able to interact telepathically, it would be convenient for me if he could inform us about anything that is occurring inside. Perhaps he could also give us a heads-up whenever Sera is about to organise some other scheme or something.” After removing t
CHAPTER 101AILEEN’S POVAt that moment, we were waiting for Joshua to restore his composure; for him to move his body so we could begin our plan. It has been three days since he made his initial movements, and it appears that he has regained control over his limbs and even his thoughts. Even though right now, his senses were comparable to those of a kid, he was still aware of the fact that if Sera discovered him moving, he would be in danger. By the end of the fourth day, he was already walking on his own. He was even talking to himself, asking where I was and calling my name in a quiet voice, much like a toddler would. Not only did it take everything I had to keep from crying, but it also took everything I had to keep from jumping down from where I was hiding and running to hug him and tell him all of my problems. I could hear footsteps coming towards the room, and Joshua could hear them as well. As a result, he immediately sat down in the exact position that he had been sitting in
