Ch. 25 THE INTRUDER

Alpha James’s POV

I rushed towards the entrance of the packhouse, my warriors bordering me as we looked out at the chaos happening in the courtyard. Several of my pack warriors lay wounded on the ground, groaning in pain, while the remaining guards waved their weapons, attempting to fend off an unseen attacker.

I ran my fingers through my hair, my mind racing to determine the identity of this unexpected intruder. Before I could formulate a plan, Nicholas approached, pressing an AK-47 into my hands.

"I think you will like this approach, Alpha," he said, his expression grim.

I accepted the weapon, nodding my approval. "Excellent thinking, Nick. We will meet force with force, how dare they attack my pack on the day of my coronation?"

As I adjusted the magazine, my gaze drifted to the trembling pack members behind us, some shaking like leaves. With a curt gesture, I signaled two of my warriors to take the lead, and I followed closely, intent on confronting this new threat head-on.
