Her first date

Chapter 2

"hi," Jessie said as he walked up to Annie, Jessie was a popular guy in school, handsome, tall, intelligent and he has a muscular body and about 188cm. As he came closer to the spot where Annie was standing.

"Am Jessie and you?" He asked. Annie was lost, she was busy taking a glimpse of him as she stood in front of him confused. 

"hello." he interrupted Annie came back to herself.

"hi," Annie said still staring at him as he introduced himself properly saying. "am Jessie and also your school mate I saw you the order day earlier in class I got attracted towards you and thought we could be friends." he said, Annie was confused at first why on earth would this guy want to be friends with her it doesn't make any sense, she thought for a while and said. "sorry I don't even know you that much yet." then he said.

"it doesn't matter with time we would get to know each other properly please just say yes!" Jessie said with a long face.

"Ok fine, can I go now?" Annie said trying to pick up her bag, he offered to give her a lift home she quickly disagrees with him saying. "No thanks, I would just find my way back myself." but he was very stubborn he insisted on taking her home by himself.

"what her friends for, I just want to be sure you are save," he said taking Annie's bag from her as head towards his car Annie decided to let him do as he pleases and followed him down to his car. While they were both in the car, Jessie reminded Annie.

"you have not introduced yourself to me yet."

"What on earth is this guy problem," she said in a very low tone.

"What did you say?" He asked.

Never mind, she said I wasn't talking to you.  

"my name is Annie," she said with a long smile on her face.

"beautiful! you have such a nice name and smile as has well." he said try not to bring back silence while he kept driving then he said "do you mind if I take you out on a date maybe later in the evening" he was not quite sure if she would accept his proposal.

 "she said no" turning his offer down.

"Why?  If you permit, may know?" he said disappointedly. "I have so much to do today at home, am the only child of my parents, so I have to assist my mom in doing the house choir." she said with regret in her heart of her decision. "it okay, I know how stressful it could be, but I would still love to take you out any time you are stress-free," he said as he stopped the car at her house. for Annie to come down.

 "sure," Annie said getting down from the car can I have your number just to get in touch with you."  Annie gave him her number and thanked him for the ride as he drove away.

Annie went into the house and was excited, then her mother noticed the smile on her face and asked "why is my little princess so happy today?" 

"Nothing mom, Just had a great day today" the mother smiled and said " oh I see! and who was that guy that dropped you off today." Mom said trying to pull her legs. Annie replied and said quickly "he is just a friend mom." as she went upstairs to her room still smiling she sat on her bed her phone rang she rushed to see who was on the phone "hi Annie." it was Elisa calling.

 "whatup Eli," Annie said in disappointment, Eli was the name Annie used to call Elisa after they became very close "what wrong baby you don't sound happy today," Elisa asked eagerly "actually I was expecting someone call before you called". Annie said sounding shy "oh I see so tell me who is this person that is so special that you are eagerly waiting for his call because am quite sure it's a guy" Elisa said teasing Annie. Then she replied saying.

 "yes it's a guy from our school, so what!".

 "oh really, tell me more about him, I would love to meet him" Elisa said, Annie quickly objected saying "no not so fast besides, he has not even said anything to me yet he just asked me on a date "oh I see! That shows that he is into you, so what was your response."

Elisa said with a calm voice excitedly. "of course I said no." Annie replied "what! so you mean you turned him down" said Elisa with a shocking voice," what should I have done Eli. I was just been careful till I get to know him so I don't fall into the wrong hands," Annie said with disappointment.

 "I completely understand ok tomorrow you would meet with him and tell him you have thought over it," Elisa said trying to explain to Annie. "so what if he is no longer interested anymore at that time, you can't force him right" she said.

"Come on who would not want to be interested in a beautiful lady like you" Elisa said to her with assurance. 

"Alright thank you so much, Eli, I don't know what I could have done without you."

After school the next day, Annie was about to talk to Jessie, but he was not in class at that time she waited for him patiently "where could he had gone, it was not quite long I saw him talking to his friends.

I guess I would have to call him, yes, that is what I would do." She said  to herself massively. 

The phone rang and it was Jessie's  " hello" Jessie said.

Then Annie quickly replied " hi Jessie, I was about to call you before you called" then Jessie apologized "am so sorry Annie I saw you too, but when I was approaching towards you, my friend came and asked for my help I couldn't turn them down."

"It's okay, I was just worried about you that's all," Annie said changing the topic because she felt uncomfortable telling him that she was now interested, then she said in her mind "if he asks me out again I would accept, and if he doesn't I would just let go" 

Luckily for Annie, Jessie asked her if she was still not free that he would still love to take her out if she would permit him. Then Annie smiled and said "of course would love to" 

"Are you being serious?" Jessie said out of excitement.

  "Yeah, sure" Annie said with a smile on her face, she was also waiting for that moment " OK, fine, I would pick you up tonight at your house then." Jessie said "Annie replied him quickly " I would be waiting."

 "I will definitely catch up with you baby," Jessie said working away, Jessie got to his friends and was smiling although.

His friends noticed this and decided to ask him what was the secret behind his happiness. Jessie told them about Annie and they were all shocked one of his friends who was extremely close to Jessie named Chris said.

 "But I thought we were friends, while did you held such a big thing from us."

"I was just waiting for the perfect time. to review her, guys. And besides, I don't want you to go ahead of me and take her away from me." he said jokingly. As they all laughed and encouraged him.

His friend has always been his backbone in times of trouble, they had always supported him and Jessie could not thank them enough, Jessie has never introduced them to his family because of his dad. Because of the last incident which happened to him with his close friend, find out what he was. They had no choice but to kill him to protect their pack from any form of attack against them, as he sat there with them thinking.

" Hey, buddy what are you thinking about or is it because you are scared of a woman." They said taunting him.

"No, it's Not what you think guys." He said to them.

"So what is it then?"

"Actually, guy let's do something why don't we go play some game before my date tonight, what do you?" He said to them skipping their question.

"Yeah that a great idea dude." As all went to the nearest club to catch some fun.

While Annie was busy think about how to behave while she was with Jessie.

"Should I talk to mom about Jessie maybe she might know how to explain it better to dad." She said walking around the whole vicinity.

"Or better still sneak out with their concept, am so sick and tired of been tried like a baby is now 19, for goodness sake when will they let me have my freedom." She said feeling so Iritated.

"Annie, where are you." Her mother said in search of her daughter.

"Am downstair mom." She said in response back to her mother.

"What the matter baby why are you here all alone by yourself is something bothering you?" 

"It nothing mom, you know this is my favorite spot to stay." She said to her mother faking a smile on her face.

"I know you pretty well Annie, you know you can confined in me for anything right?" The mother said trying to get her daughter to open up to her but just wasn't ready to say a word.

"I know mom, trust me if there is anything serious I would surely let you know first." She said to her trying not to get her worried or to suspect anything about her going out in the night with Jessie.

"It okay baby, if you say so." Her mother said to her kissing her on her head, as she walked out to the main house. As she called her mother.

"Yes, sweetheart."

"Thank you." Annie said to her mom, as she walked up to hug her.

"You are welcome baby, and always remember that I love you so much." Her mother said holding her tightly to herself. As they both walked together to the main house.

"Mom, can I go and visit my friend Elisa?" Annie asked her mom seeking for permission.

"Of course darling, you should not ask me before going to visit your friend." She said her.

Annie was so excited she could not wait to deliver the message to Elisa, as she rushed out of the door without saying a word to her mother. She could not help but smile all the way on her way to see her friend to the extent that she was almost knocked by a vehicle.

"Watch where you are going, miss." The vehicle man shouted out of his vehicle but Annie never listened to him she just acted as if she wasn't the one he was talking with.

"She is so crazy." He said to himself while driving away.

On getting to Elisa's house Annie forget what brought her there, out of the exictement of seeing Elisa as almost jumped on Elisa to express how she felt.

"Take a deep breath." Elisa said to Annie trying to calm her down to speak out.

Elisa's parents came and interrupt their discussion and asked them to go to come for meals.

"No, I don't feel like eating right now, I will join you some other time." Annie said looking straight into Elisa's eyes giving her signals.

Elisa understood and said to her mother. "Mom I  I would have mine later but for now let me help you in arranging the meal on the table she said pulling her mother by the hands out to the kitchen.

After everything, Elisa finally came back to the bedroom where Annie was sitting, waiting for her patiently.

"What took you so long." Annie asked kind of impatient.
