Lilian entered the office and thought hard about what her aunt and uncle had said.

If she really did things that angered Alessandro, would he fire her and let her be?

Although she didn't want to do this, she also didn't want to put her family in danger. Her uncle and aunt had given up everything, their home, friends and businesses just to protect her. If sabotaging her job would keep them safe, she would have to do it.

She went to the mini kitchen and prepared his coffee. Alessandro had told her he preferred his coffee warm with lots of milk and no sugar.

Lilian made the coffee steaming hot, put lots of sugar and little milk.

She then put it on his table and went to sit at her desk.

Some few minutes later, Alessandro entered the office.

"Good morning Mr Romano." Lilian stood up and greeted him.

"Good morning Miss Howard. Is my coffee ready?" he asked.

"Yes sir, it's on your table." she answered.

"Good."

Lilian watched him go inside, she bit her lip guiltily as she thought about what he was about to drink.

Lilian sat down and waited for him to call her, she wasn't disappointed as the phone on her desk rang. She picked up the call.

"Get in here now." he said in a very dark tone.

Lilian gulped at his tone, "Yes sir, I am coming."

Lilian stood up and went to his office door, she knocked on the door and it opened. She took a deep breath and entered the room.

Alessandro was sitting at his desk, a murderous look on his face, if looks could kill, Lilian would be dead already.

"Yes sir, you asked for me."

"Miss Howard, I remember telling you how I liked my coffee yesterday, didn't I?"

"Yes you did sir." Lilian answered.

"How did I say I liked it?" Alessandro asked her.

"Steaming hot, lots of sugar and little milk." Lilian answered.

Alessandro stared at her in shock. "Miss Howard, that's isn't what I told you." he told her.

"It isn't?" Lilian asked, feigning shock.

"It isn't. I said, I liked my coffee warm, no sugar or sweetener and a lot of milk"

"Oh no! I am so sorry sir, I must have mixed it up in my head. My brain does that sometimes."

Alessandro gave her the coffee mug. "Dispose of this and get me cold water to cool my tongue."

"You don't want another coffee sir?"

"No, I don't want another coffee"

The office door opened and someone walked in. Lilian looked at the new comer and gasped in shock. The new comer looked identical to her boss. Except where her boss had neatly combed brown hair, this person had long dark curls that tempted one to entangle fingers in them.

"Hey! You must be the new secretary" the newcomer said, his eyes twinkling in mischief.

"Yes I am." Lilian answered.

"I am Ricciardo Romano, your boss twin brother." he introduced himself.

Lilian looked at the two handsome brothers and concluded that the universe was just unfair to have blessed the both of them with such good looks.
