"Pleased to meet you, Mr Romano." Lilian said politely.

"Enough with the formalities, just call me Ricciardo." Ricciardo told her.

"I don't think that would be proper." Lilian replied.

"Awwn, you are just as cute as Con said."

"You may go miss Howard." Alessandro told Lilian.

"Yes sir." Lilian replied and left.

"You are so damn polite brother." Ricciardo told his brother.

"It's called maintaining boundaries and being professional."

"hmmm, funny how you don't maintain those boundaries with Rosa." Ricciardo remarked as he sat down.

"Seriously, what is your problem with Rosa?" Alessandro asked.

"Nothing, forget about it." Ricciardo replied.

Lilian knocked on the door and entered. She dropped the cold water on the table.

"I am really sorry sir about the mix-up." she apologized again.

"Its okay. I need you to print out the Winston files from the files office. I will be needing it in a business meeting later."

"Yes sir." Lilian replied and left the office.

"What's that about?" Ricciardo asked as he gestured to the bottle of cold water Alessandro was drinking.

"She mixed up my coffee this morning and gave me steaming hot coffee instead of warm coffee. I didn't realize it was so hot and drank it all in one go. I burned my throat and tongue as well."

Ricciardo burst into laughter.

"It isn't that funny." Alessandro said grumpily.

"It actually is, I need to tell Connie this." Ricciardo said as he brought out his phone to text his sister.

"I hate you." Alessandro said.

"No you don't." Ricciardo retorted.

He held up his phone, "She said it's funny and that you need to laugh more, she also extends her greetings to Lilian." he informed his brother.

"The two of you are the absolute worst." Alessandro said grumpily.

"So what are you going to do about what the Elder council said." Ricciardo asked him.

"I have no idea, i don't know what to do. Connie is obviously not interested in mating, you are too much of a free spirit to settle down, so I guess it's up to me."

"But are you ready to get a mate again?" Ricciardo asked.

"I don't know know, I am terrified of losing someone I love again, I am scared of opening my heart." Alessandro confessed to his twin.

"Have you told the Elder council this?"

Alessandro stood up and began to pace the room.

"How? I am the Alpha. I shouldn't be scared of anything."

"Alessandro, you lost your mate and in a very tragic way. You deserve to take as much time as you need before getting a new mate again."

"I am not the first Alpha to lose a mate, others have lost mates before and moved on just fine. Why am I different?"

"Alessandro, you shouldn't care about others, you are your own person." Ricciardo told him.

"You know when you aren't so annoying, you give really good advice."

"Awwwn! A compliment from the Alpha himself." Ricciardo said as he preened like a proud peacock.

Alessandro rolled his eyes in response. "Besides, if I don't get a mate, I can always be with Rosa." he told Ricciardo.

Ricciardo made a gagging gesture. "Please don't, I will even get a mate so you don't put yourself through such torture"

"What do you mean torture, she is my best friend. I am sure it will go well."

"Contrary to popular opinion, marrying your best friend can be a mistake. You are better off marrying your enemy." Ricciardo opined.

Alessandro burst into laughter.

"You see that is why I want you to be coming to work regularly, who else would make me laugh like this?" he asked him.

"Well that's why we are twins, who else would understand us than ourselves?"

Alessandro held out his pinky.

"I love you twin."

Ricciardo hooked his pinky with his brother's.

"I love you too twin."

Some hours later.....

Alessandro was at the business meeting scheduled for that afternoon, by his side was Lilian. His twin was also present at the meeting.

He gestured for Lilian to come closer to him.

"Where is the Winston files, I asked you to print out?" he asked.

"Here they are." Lilian said and gave him the file.

"Thank you."

When it was time for Alessandro to speak, he stood up and started to talk about the project. He opened the file in his hand to further explain when he discovered that the documents in his hands had nothing whatsoever to do with the Winston project.

"Is there a problem Mr Romano?" the leader of the team from the Winston group asked.

"Uh, it seems I am with the wrong documents, I am really sorry for this mistake." Alessandro apologized.

"It seems the professionalism that people praise your company for is unfounded. How could you make such a mistake, Mr Romano?" the leader asked.

"I am really sorry sir, it won't happen again. Please give us another chance." Alessandro pleaded.

The leader stood up to go, "We will reschedule this meeting, you better be ready."

"We will sir, thank you sir." Alessandro thanked them.

"Miss Howard follow me to my office now." Alessandro said.

Lilian followed him nervously while Ricciardo followed the Winston team members to set up a new meeting date.

They got to his office, Alessandro took off his jacket and loosened his tie before facing Lilian.

"Miss Howard, when I employed you, I asked you if you were sure you wanted this job and you assured me that you wanted the job. Didn't you?"

"Yes I did."

"So why have everything you have done today being the opposite of your decision. Miss Howard, I pride myself on being the best, I have never made such a mistake like what happened today."

"I am very sorry sir, I take full responsibility for the mistake. I must have mistakenly printed out another file."

"You know when you returned the excess money from your salary, I was impressed, when I knew that you were a werewolf, I thought to myself that this is an opportunity to help my kind but I have realized that was my mistake. Miss Howard, you are fired."
