Pack meeting

"That is Giovanni, Mr Romano's driver. And he told his stylist to take me shopping to get new clothes that would befit my new position as his assistant. Also we stopped by a salon and I decided to dye my hair to make sure no one recognizes me from my past. Have I answered all your questions?" Lilian answered all their questions at a go.

"Your new position?" her aunt asked.

"Yes, as a result of my honesty yesterday, I was promoted from being a cleaner to being Mr Romano's secretary." Lilian replied.

"Wow, that's good news. Congratulations sweetheart." her uncle congratulated her.

"Don't you think such a position would be too exposing?" her aunt questioned.

"Exposing?" her uncle asked.

"Yes, in case two of you forgot, we are on the run from the werewolf council, what if this position brings Lilian exposure and then we are found?" her aunt asked.

"Oh! I didn't think of that." her uncle said.

Her aunt sighed and looked at Lilian.

"Can you resign sweetie? I know you love your job but we can't risk any chance of being found."

"Well I think doing that would only bring more exposure on us." Lilian told her.

"Why do you think so?" her uncle asked.

"Well Mr Romano is a well connected man and me resigning from what many would see as a dream job would only raise his suspicions and make him dig into my past thereby leading the werewolf council right to our doorstep."

"So what do we do now?" Her aunt asked her.

"I will remain working with him, soon I will probably offend him and he would fire me. The end." Lilian answered.

"Oooh! I have an idea." her uncle said.

"What is it?" Lilian asked in interest.

"Why don't you do everything humanly possible to make him fire you. You can always get another job, like we have always told you, you don't even need to work." her uncle suggested.

Lilian felt uncomfortable with this suggestion.

"I don't know, do you think this would work?" she asked them.

"Yes it will, you have to try your best, we have run away as far from home as we can. This is a nice town, we can settle here, little Lavender can grow up here. Do you want us to have to run away again?"

"No, I don't. I will try my best to annoy him so he fires me soon." Lilian agreed.

"Good girl. Now what do you want for dinner?" her aunt asked.

"Anything will do, by the way I invited Sue over for dinner. Is that okay?"

"of course, Sue is adorable."

"Okay then, I will go up now, call me if Sue comes or you need anything." she told them as she stood up.

"Of course dear, we will be sure to do that."

Lilian carried Lavender upstairs to her room. She laid him on the bed and played with him a little.

She smiled as he laughed and played along with her. Lilian loved her son so much, he was the only reason why she was still able to be happy.

"I love you so much Lavender." she whispered to him.

She changed out of her clothes and carried him up and continued to play with him.

Alessandro stepped out of his office building and went to the garage where Giovanni was waiting with the car.

Giovanni opened the door and he entered the car. Thereafter Giovanni went to the driver's side and got in. He started the car and drove off.

"Did you drop her at home?" Alessandro asked him.

"Yes Sir, I did." Giovanni replied.

"How was the neighborhood? The house?"

"It's a nice neighborhood, the house is also nice."

"That's good. Make sure you pick her on time tomorrow, okay?"

"Yes sir."

Alessandro relaxed in his seat and Giovanni kept driving. They were headed to the pack meeting.

Soon they got to their destination and Alessandro came down from the car and Giovanni followed behind him.

Alessandro entered the hall and the lively hall became quiet instantly.

He strode to the podium and stood in front of them.

"Alpha!" they chanted in unison and bowed down in respect.

"New Lanterns Pack, rise!" Alessandro ordered using the full power of his Alpha voice.

The pack shivered in fear, their Alpha Alessandro was very powerful and fearless and they all deeply feared and respected him. They all rose their heads together.

"Sit!" he further commanded.

The pack obediently sat down.

"I would like to start this meeting by....." whatever Alessandro wanted to say was cut off by the late arrival of Constanza.

"My apologies Alpha, the traffic was terrible." she apologized.

"Just find a seat and sit down." Alessandro said, trying his best to control his temper.

Constanza found a seat in the back and sat down.

Alessandro cleared his throat, "as I was saying...." once more, he was interrupted again, this time by the late arrival of his twin brother Ricciardo, the beta of New Lanterns pack.

"So sorry Alpha, traffic was just terrible." he apologized as he made his way to the podium to stand beside Alessandro.

Alessandro sighed and groaned inwardly. Ricciardo and Constanza were the bane of his existence. The only thing they contributed to his life was trouble and stress.

Constanza on one hand was nonchalant about everything except her business. She didn't care about the pack or even finding a mate.

Ricciardo on the other hand was another case. Although they were twins and basically the same age, Ricciardo acted very immature and couldn't handle anything responsibly.

Although he was the beta of the pack, he did nothing whatsoever to help in the pack.

"Brother, the pack is waiting." Ricciardo nudged him and whispered.

Alessandro glared at him in response before addressing the pack.

"As I was saying, I would like to thank everyone for making out time to be here despite our busy schedules. I would also like to thank those of us who stay behind in the pack and makes sure everything runs smoothly. Now does anyone have any issue I need to resolve?"

For the next hour, Alessandro settled disputes between pack members and listened to complaints.

Finally he was done and then one of the members of the elder council raised her hand to ask a question.

"Yes elder, go ahead." Alessandro permitted her.

"This question is directed to the Alpha's family. When do you plan to give us an heir?" she asked.

"Uhmm Elder, don't you think your question is a bit insensitive?" Ricciardo asked her.

"Is it? The elder council has the right to ask such questions. The Alpha's mate died two years ago, it's time he moved on. The pack needs a Luna As for you Beta, it's time you settled down and stop fooling around. And as for Constanza it's high time she settled down as well. The elder council is expecting an heir to be on its way from any of you three at the end of the year. And a Luna as well" The elder said with a tone of finality.

Although Alessandro was fuming in anger, he couldn't do a thing because although he was an Alpha, the elder council also had importance in the pack. He could only agree and close the pack meeting.

Later, the pack members all mingled together. The three siblings stood together talking together. The three of them together was quite a sight.

Alessandro with his perfect brown hair, not a single lock was out of place, looking handsome. Ricciardo with his long dark curls looking sexy and dangerous. Constanza with her blond hair looking as innocent as an angel. The Romano siblings were breathtaking and they knew it.

"Why were you two late?" he asked them.

"Traffic." they answered together.

"Don't give me that bullshit." Alessandro replied.

"But the traffic was really bad" Ricciardo insisted.

"Well maybe you two should have left the house on time."

"Relax Alessandro, we are here now and that's all that matters." Constanza told him.

"Really? Anyways what do you guys think about the Elder's words?" Alessandro asked them.

"Nothing." Constanza replied.

"Yeah, it's just their ranting. Don't take it too seriously." Ricciardo added.

"Well we need to. They are right, we need an heir."

"So what are we supposed to do, manufacture babies?" Ricciardo asked.

"We are supposed to find mates, and bear children Ricciardo." Alessandro said.

"Don't forget you also need to get a Luna." Constanza reminded him.

"Don't turn this around on me, at least I had a mate before. She was also pregnant and about to bear a child before she died. The both of you have never even thought of settling down. Especially you, Connie, when are you planning on settling down?" Alessandro asked Constanza.

"Not anytime soon." she retorted.

"Why, you...." Alessandro was interrupted again, this time by Rosa.

"Bestie" she said as she gave him a deep hug like they hadn't seen each other earlier.

"Hey Rosa." Alessandro responded while Ricciardo and Constanza rolled their eyes.
