Alpha Thorn's POV I felt restless as I anticipated the news of Billy's return. The kingdom felt hollow, and everyone was scared. I could see the looks on the elders faces. Most of the pack members were leaving the pack only to be taken captive by Derek's men. The door opened, waking me up from my thoughts. "Is there any news?" I looked at the guard. "None, Alpha Thorn. There is no news from Billy yet." I watched anxiously as the door shut in my face. This was getting out of hand. I needed to show my people I was not scared of Derek, but any wrong move might result in a dilemma I was not prepared or ready for. I landed back on my chair. As the thought of what could happen to me and my kingdom engulfed me. All of this happened because I refused to take Lyla as my mate. At least that was what I thought.
